Kincaid: New Disclosures In Brian Ross Hatchet Job On Bachmann

ABC News investigative reporter Brian Ross conveniently failed to mention in his Monday night hit piece on Michele Bachmann that his leading authority for the view that homosexual orientation cannot be changed is an ardent advocate for acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle.

The omission takes on added significance in view of a 2007 report on the website of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) that Ross hosted a fundraising benefit for NLGJA and a tour of ABC’s studios. “The event will be hosted by ABC News Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross,” a report on a gay website said.

The NLGJA “stylebook,” which lays down the law to news organizations on how they should reports matters involving homosexuality, puts the term “ex-gay” in quotes, suggesting that former homosexuals do not really exist or that the therapy that helps them leave their lifestyle is not legitimate.

This was the line taken by Ross in a report whose apparent aim was to derail the candidacy of Bachmann, who is leading in the polls in Iowa, where the first GOP presidential caucus takes place. Using material from the homosexual lobby and the far-left Nation magazine, Ross attacked the Bachmann family counseling business, which helps various people, including homosexuals, with their psychological problems.

Clinton Anderson, PhD., who was featured in the Brian Ross story, directs the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns, and is a founding coordinator of the International Network for Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Concerns and Transgender Issues in Psychology (INET).

I strikes me as rather odd that minority groups (and I mean in the neighborhood of less than 10%) in our country are calling the shots to our media on how they report about the GLTB. This is purely political correctness by intimidation because they know they've positioned themselves in a position of power through nothing but lies. This type of societal climate is precisely what was going on in a particular European country during the 1930s when a certain individual rose to power while many in America were denying that he anything but "good intentions" for his country… and we all know – well those of us who were taught anything about WWII – how that turned out!

  2. TKETTLE says:

Just remember that the more the dumocrats attack Bachmann, the more afraid of her they are. GO GIRL!!

  3. The likelihood that any Bisexual, Gay, lesbian or Transgender would vote for a Conservative is just not going to happen on any noticeable level. So my opinion is concentrate on the areas of the population where you can make serious inroads as far as the vote is concerned.

      Ever hear of GOProud?
I'm not sure how large their following is, but hey, if some are more concerned about
our country, esp. in fiscal matters and are willing to leave their personal lfestyle out
to deal with things that really do matter, I'd say welcome aboard and thanks for helping
      us with the cause.
Other than that, what they do is their own business and I don't care what they do out of my sight,
just as long as they don't try to bring those other personal agendas into the party.

      • I guess you and Joe Farah would disagree. :-) http://www.westernjournalism.com/i-guess-i-hit-a-

        • Gary in Colo says:

I know that we disagree on some things. Confirmed.
I actually spent a little bit of time send him an email during Thanksgiving on another
subject and apparently he had his computer on at home and responded to me
same day. I personally thought his response was a little snotty, but then, like in this
particular subject, it seems to be a topic more of just opinion than anything else.

I remember something about him and Ann Couter having some squabbel back around
that time over her speaking at some GOProud convention and him dis-inviting her from
some convention that he was putting on somewhere else.

      • Gary in Colo. GOPROUD does not post any membership numbers so it would lead me to assume that they do not have a very large membership? Historically though people in that kind of life style vote liberally.

      • Grover Norquist and Andrew Brietbart are one-third of GOProud's advisory council, and of course GOProud was one of the sponsors of the most recent CPAC–suggesting it's an influential group in conservative politics.

        • James GOPROUD was one of 117 organizations at CPAC which in no way suggest it is a influential group in conservative politics. The facts are that GoProud was not very well received & most likely it will not be invited back for 2012.

          GOProud out of CPAC 2012?
posted at 10:55 am on February 18, 2011 by Ed Morrissey

After two years of participation and controversy, new management at the American Conservative Union have decided to start “vetting” organizations for participation at CPAC — and that means that GOProud, in all likelihood, won’t be admitted as a participating organization in 2012. New ACU chair Al Cardenas says that its individual members will be welcomed to the conservative conference, but as long as the organization itself pursues policies allowing for gay marriage and gays in the military, the ACU will not approve GOProud’s participation.

James i would say that your Messiah Obama has larger problems facing him within his own party than the Republicans do.

CHICAGO (AP) — A liberal group upset over potential cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security delivered pledges Friday to President Barack Obama's national campaign headquarters threatening to pull its support.
About a dozen people representing the Progressive Change Campaign Committee delivered what they said were 200,000 pledges from people who will refuse to donate or volunteer for Obama's re-election campaign if he cuts the entitlement programs.
"It's not a question of who they're going to support for president, they're going to vote for Barack Obama. It's a question of where their time and money is going to go," spokesman T. Neil Sroka said.
Obama has been taking heat from the left over the debt ceiling negotiations, in which he has been willing to target the long-standing programs. His approach is certain to sit better with independent voters, many of whom have told pollsters they want Washington politicians to work together to solve the big problems.
Sroka said the 200,000 people represent more than $17 million in donations to Obama's campaign in 2008 and about 2.6 million volunteer hours.
Protester Mary Ellen Croteau, 61, of Chicago said she's even ready to find someone else to support if Obama cuts Medicare and Social Security.
"I don't know who I'm going to vote for yet because there doesn't seem to be too many people on the horizon, but I will vote for someone whether it's a Green candidate, whether it's a communist, I don't care. Somebody who's going to stand up for people," Croteau said.
Sroka later said she was not speaking on behalf of the group.
The Obama campaign's chief operating officer, Ann Marie Habershaw, accepted the group's petitions in the lobby of the downtown office building that houses the campaign.
"Americans elected the president in 2008 to take on the big challenges facing our country, and he's engaged in an effort to do just that," Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said in a statement.

Hi Gary in Colo. That's just the problem, they do bring those other personal agendas into the party.
They promote each other and grow their numbers and powers in our government.
Normal people don't do that. They don't belong to that club.
They pass their agendas on an unsuspecting public without the public knowing what they are doing. voting as a block you might say, with Obama's permission so to say.

  4. Michelle is a big girl and can take care of herself. She has my vote as long as she stays in the ran, never the less I shall never cast a vote for Barry.

    Bachmann 2012. You go Girl

    • donjusko says:

Bachmann is a true teaparty girl but even if she does include auditing the Fed, I'm going for Ron Paul.
I would like to see Bachman or Palin as V.P. though, I trust them.
Audit the Fed, bring the troops home now and balance the budget. Anyone that doesn't agree with those principles can never be president. No Tea Partier would say no to that.
