I was raised to honor the sacrifices of veterans, especially combat ones.
For that reason, US Senator John McCain has gotten a break from me (and even my vote in 2008.)
But, I’m not questioning his Vietnam service record.
My current inquiry has a much more recent vintage.
While US Senator Rand Paul undertook his historic filibuster, McCain and 11 other Senate Republicans were eating dinner.
With the president of the United States.
The same president whose drone policy and feared domestic deployment united left, right, and center of varying degrees into an unlikely coalition of grave concern.
Obama picked up the tab.
What he got in return was witnessed shortly thereafter.
Senator McCain wasted no time denouncing Rand Paul’s filibuster. His words speak for themselves:
Paul’s critics say this was a stunt to fatten his resume for a 2016 presidential run, designed not only for maximum PR but also to ingratiate him with libertarians, skeptical independents, and the conspiracy wings of both parties.
If that’s the case, then McCain’s heroism continued unbroken from his prisoner of war days.
This scenario paints Rand Paul as an ambitious politician so hungry for the White House that he’d stir up mistrust against the current administration.
Another scenario, once accepted by many in the liberty movement, the Tea Party and the GOP, feels McCain cast himself as a political prostitute for Obama, in exchange for unknown benefits.
His Senate speech was long on trusting government (the same one that drone-by shot terrorist American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki ) and short on demanding guarantees citizens are indeed safe
from this remote-controlled weapons system.
At issue is whether the government could plot to deprive Americans under suspicion of not only their rights but their very lives!
Casting my eyes to my own strand of the national fabric as an American Black shows a history replete with overreaches and downright conspiracies that abused generations.
The same government that recognized slavery, nationalized the act of slave-catching escapees, and supported second-class citizenship (even after a bloody civil war and waged covert war against civil rights activists with no regard for the Constitution), is one that I’d be foolish to blindly trust.
The crimson I see on its hands isn’t ink; it’s innocent Black blood- and that’s just from my strand of the national fabric!
Other Americans recently pointed to Waco and Ruby Ridge as examples of this same government rendering fatal N-word treatment to White Christians whose views ran afoul of it.
In my opinion, Rand Paul wasn’t catering to wild-eyed fringes who’d cost him reelection, let alone the Oval Office.
Whatever political calculations were included, I think he was also issuing a rarely heard challenge to the conspiracy of silence imposed upon responsible Americans by the Bush-Obama national security state, where questioning policy is treasonous.
We are not as free post-9/11 as we were before.
While foreign terrorists rightfully deserve much blame, they didn’t draft tyrannical legislation that in effect made every American a suspect who must prove his identity and good faith (where once before, the burden of proof rested with the state.)
Questioning an ultimate expression of this national security-flavored tyranny and trial-less drone-by shooting was an invaluable service he rendered the Republic.
I’d grown resigned to a mute America whose government declared all of us, regardless of color, N-words whose opinions no official needed to hear.
Against this somber backdrop, I’d have to judge US Senator John McCain, hero of the Hanoi Hilton, a whore for Obama on an issue striking like a hellfire missile at what’s left of our liberty.
Harsh words for a harsh reality.

I am ashamed that I voted for McCain, he has lost it, never was much of a Senator, but at least 4 years ago he was not Obama,

John McCain suffers from PTSD. That’s why he’s all over the board.. Trust me. I KNOW THE SYMPTOMS. I wouldn’t call him a hero..That term has become all too commonplace. Being a hero requires actions “above and beyond the call of duty”. Getting your ass shot down and captured by the enemy doesn’t meet the criteria. I’m sure his captivity is what has caused his mental disorder and I don’t mean to take that lightly. I cannot imagine the horrors of being held captive by the NVA..They are a brutal people . All I can do is back him when he’s making sense and criticize him when not.
PTSD is a possibility. But more important is basic IQ. Note that McCain graduated at the bottom of his Annapolis class. Recall also that he was the son and grandson of admirals, so even that ranking was probably boosted. Heck, Hitler won a legitimate Iron Cross in WW I, so heroism doesn’t guarantee anything. Of course, Hitler fought beyond decent limits to advance the interests of his own people, whereas Sr Juan McCain seems dedicated to swamping white Americans with a third-world tsunami of cr*p.

Of all the people in Congress you have always been one that I felt was more in depth with the people you represent as well with your military background that in service we share the same oath. I am very surprised that you seem to be defending individuals that by defininition of both the Constitution and the UCMJ, they are byond guilty in their actions of by-passing Congress to engage military forces into conflict, and even more appaling is the billions in military assets being handed ovwer to a known terrorist association. By the muslim brotherhood changing leadership from the Hamas to now the muslim brotherhood, they are still terrorists hell bent on destroying America, the muslims or islmic extremists are flooding into this country under the flag of oboma and sympathisers. McCain’s military background was for the most part a complete joke. He stood fourth or fifth from LAST out og 899 mid-shipmen at the Naval Academy. He crashed three planes before he was finally shot down in Vietnam. If his daddy would not have been an Admiral, Jonny would have been washing the windshields and checking the tires on jets instead of flying them.

I have made many video’s and a large number of them highlight the Arizona Senator, that I believe has had his cheese slip off of his cracker a very long time ago. The American people continue to re-elect these long term idiots that seem to all be self a serving and have no interest in doing the people’s business.
Once they gain their power, they could care less about the people that placed them into a position of power, and the people continue to do it over and over again. Senator McCain was 894 out of a class of 899 mid-shipmen in his Naval Academy class. If McCain’s father was not an Admiral, I firmly believe that Jonny would have been cleaning the windshields of jets verses flying them.
Wikipedia provides you with specific’s on these elected official, it also highlights the number of planes that Jonny crashed, that I believe is another reason that he would have been washed out as a pilot, other than his father once again was an Admiral in the Navy.
McCain, also co-authored the NDAA which Federal Judges along with a number of states have said was un-Constitutional, one would have thought that a 25 plus year Senator who has been feeding at the public trough that long would have known better.
Senator Rand Paul made it very clear in a YouTube video that Senator’s do not obey their own laws, they vote on Bill’s without having a clue of what the Bill actually contains. Nut-case Nancy Pelosi is on video stating, “We have to sign Obama-Care into law so that we can learn what’s in it.” Anyone need to know more about how dysfunctional our Congress really is? John McCain a Vietnam War Hero? Maybe to the North Vietnamese. Just ask some of the Americans imprisoned with him at the Hanoi Hilton ( “Red” McDaniels, for example). Privately they will tell you that John McCain was on very friendly terms with his captors, and received favorable treatment. Part of the reason for this was his “daddy” was an American Admiral. My nephew required naturalization paperwork to make him a (nauralized) citizen, not a natural born citizen upon return to mainland US. McCain is hiding his citizenship paperwork. I do not know if McCain is a whore or not. It is not up to me to judge. I will say however, that all the respect that I had for him, left with his speech of late. He does seem to sell himself to the highest bidder which also seems to be the way of most of the politicians. I recently heard someone say there are no longer any Statesmen in Washington and with that I fully agree.
If we can make it to the next election cycle, it would worth noting who these traitors are and remove them from office. In the meantime, I would suggest that we prepare ourselves for an all out war on American soil. About 10 percent of the population participated in a combat role during the American Revolution. I dealt with some alleged, Viet Nam heroes over a several-year period. Why is it that soldiers who have been wounded and lived through it are heroes? What about people who did the same thing, but were not wounded and lived through it ? Why are they not considered heroes, also ? My view of the the whole concept of heroes is in the process of revision. I have seen too many who have abused their “wounded status,” defrauded, cheated, lied into salary increases and job promotions while spinning info about competitors, even setting them up for demotions.
As far as Senator John McCain is concerned, he has demonstrated via behavior which group he is a member of. Assisting with the destruction of the USA, perhaps hiding behind others, suggests cowardice, not heroism. Too many Viet Nam era people need to review the cause of the Viet Nam debacle.
To think the Republican Party of Arizona in 2010 could have rid us and Arizona of the not very deep thinker John McCain and didn’t still amazes me. Too many Americans are just too settled into the “security” of the status quo to make the necessary changes in our representation that might save the nation.

Like McCain, I was a naval aviator. Never served with him, but know many who did and their opinions of him have never been good. That said, I do feel that he comported himself well (honorably) as a POW but then I can’t name a single aviator that didn’t, that’s what US military officers do! However, McCain has been nothing but an embarrassment to the proud traditions of the military ever since he left it, IMO. He left a loving and supportive wife to gold dig and then managed to parlay her money into his POWER. He is dim and the article says it best, a WHORE>

I have lost a lot of respect for McCain in the past 4 years, but when he denounced Paul’s filibuster, I wanted to bust McCain’s chops. I have no respect for him now. A while after the end of the VIETNAM WAR ENDED and the prisoners were returned, I saw an article about McCain by one of the detainees with McCain that painted a different picture of his incarseration after the VIETCONG FOUND OUT THAT McCAIN’S FATHER WAS THE HEAD HONCHO THAT WAS IN CHARGE OF THE AISIATIC OPERATION. His treatment ceased to be as brutal after this finding by the VIETCONG!!Makes one wonder what an effect his treatment change had on him at that time. Would be interesting to GET THE REST OF THE STORY!!!!! What say you, anyone else hear about this item!!!

The expression ‘Rhino’ has always ruffled me – until the reelection of King Obama and the way that those of the Rhino ilk have seemed to consistently mishandle the confusing Democrat inabilities for constructive financial planning.

I served during the Korean War, and I don’t remember hearing anything about McCain in 1952.

I believe that I figured out why Senator RINO John McCain, attacked Senator Rand Paul the way that he did on the Senate Floor, after Senator Paul’s marathon Filibuster. If you Google the speech that Senator Rand Paul gave a number of months ago as he was waiving a 600 page Bill that he said he was given earlier that day and he was told that he will have to vote on it in one half hour in the early afternoon. He went on and said that we in the Senate do not obey our own laws, how can we be expected to vote on something that we have not had sufficient time to read.
The truth is that the Senate has been on auto-pilot for many many years with old timers like Diane Feinstein, Senator Carl Levine, Senator Barbara Boxer, the list goes on and on and on. The same problem exists in Congress which is why Allen West from Florida got trashed, he upset the status quo.
Junior Senator’s are expected, as they have been for years to be silent, learn the ropes, idolize those that have many years of tenure, shut up, vote party line, and join the “Millionaires Club,” as most long term Members of Congress, almost all do.
The American people are and have been getting screwed by these long in the tooth Congressional and Senate Representatives, that have only one interest which is to be idolized by the American people and to be able to become multimillionaires and enjoy a life of luxury until their dying days.
There are one hundred Senator’s that on average after their salaries, benefit’s staff salaries, multiple offices and other insane benefits like no one on their organization’s families has to pay back any school loans. They cannot be charged with sexual harassment, they can do insider trading, the list of what they can do and what we cannot do is endless, after all, they are the law makers, right?
On average each Senator costs the American taxpayer over $5,000,000.00, multiply that times one hundred and we are left with a whopping bill of over $500,000,000.00, yet these idiots end up voting on Bill’s that they have no clue of what is in the Bill and the negative impact that it will have on the American people, take Obama-Care for example.
Nancy Pelosi opened her stupid mouth and said, “We need to hurry and pass this Bill so we can learn what is in it.” What more does anyone need to know. With large staffs that they all have, one would think that if a constitute asked a serious question of their Senator that they would receive something other than a form letter, but that my friends is what we end up receiving.
New minted Senator’s generally seem to try harder, unless they are new to the Senate after having been ruined in Congress, Jeff Flake is a perfect example of that, while Ted Cruz from Texas is also a perfect example of a new minted Member of Congress. The old timers, be it from having been in Congress for ten years as was Jeff Flake, who was ruined and was taught how to play the game, to once again, someone that is newly minted like Allen West was, as Rand Paul is, they are not at all liked by the majority of old timers.
If anyone tries to do the “peoples business” and it goes against the establishment, they will be attacked by the old Senior Senator’s and Senior Congressmen. Where and in what industry can someone work until they either drop dead or eventually retire at the age of 80 plus? Only in our Government can that happen and unfortunately it happens far too often.
Congress is full of corruption, most Senator’s and Congressmen have spent their adult lives feeding at the public trough, is it a wonder then that they have no understanding of fiscal responsibilities? Money is nothing more than a number to them and they know how to get more from the American taxpayer whenever they feel the need or the desire to do so.
Obama is also a perfect example of someone that has no clue of how to earn a dollar, it was always given to him and he knows how to get more from the American people through lies and deceit. Remember when he said that Obama-Care won’t cost you a single penny and that if you like your doctor you ail be able to keep him and your insurance costs will go down by on average $2,500.00 per year. Has any of that come to fruition?
Senator McCain is a whore as are most Congressional Senior Representatives, they corrupt most of the newely minted Members of Congress, and those that seem not to be able to be corrupted and those that expose them for being what they are, which is pretty much useless, as senator Rand Paul did, they will do what they can to get them removed as they did to Congressman Allen West.
Unfortunately, with the the way our Congress is structured, I see nothing changing, since they will not agree to term limits since they are the law makers, they would not gut the throat of the Golden Goose. Senator Rand Paul was very courageous to have exposed the Senate for being what it is, and that my friends is why the attack dog Senator John Mccain attacked his as he did on the Senate Floor.
I stated this previously, I believe that it is critical that all Senator’s are evaluated at the age of 65 plus by mental health experts, they should all be given Bill to read that they are expected to vote on and have sufficient time to read the Bill’s. Once they have assured us that they have done so, they need to be given a test to make certain that they understood what was contained in the Bill that they intend to vote on.
That my friends would eliminate trash Bill’s like Obama-Care being passed in the Senate. Do I see any of these ideas being mandated, no, but you know what, it makes me feel better being able to vent. Who knows, if enough American’s demand change, it might come about.
Leaving things the way that they are in our Congress and Senate is insane and we are all now suffering as a result of our self-serving “Do-Nothing” Senate and Congress.

I would add, however, that except for a very few, we, the American people, also have been “do-nothings”, choosing instead to carp and gripe while we go about our busy day – too occupied with our daily lives to stop and sacrifice for our own freedom. As one by one our freedoms fall into the mud under our feet, we rationalize that ‘maybe it will get better’ – but it will not! I am ashamed to say I fall into this category. Now, as I see the walls of Communist tyranny closing in around me, I realize it may already be too late and the only choice may be horrible bloodshed and suffering or living on bended knee before tyrants. Gabor Zolna. I did watch the video and I did enjoy it. Gave me a better perspective of the entire political system on Capitol Hill. In the ’80s I was heavily involved with the POW / MIA issue, and came into contact with Americans who were held with now-Senator McCain. My mental picture of him certainly doesn’t match the current “war hero” mentality of today. In my opinion, he is just a visible symptom of the deep, ugly, cancerous morass that our Senate & House of Representatives have apparently become. When I think of the absolute seriousness of America’s situation today and then juxtapose that with some of the absolutely idiotic and mind-blowing stupidity which emanates from the mouths of some of those people – and the stupid, bald-faced lies from the likes of Obama, Reid and Pelosi – I am just speechless. As to what we can do (not that we will, unfortunately) – I don’t know where to begin. Besides the obvious problems in our national Senate & House of Representatives, our children are being indoctrinated with Communist propaganda, atheistic morals, pro-homosexual and transgender / lesbian beliefs, while being denied historical truths about the founding and survival of this great grand experiment in freedom we call America – or they are fed lies about our nation’s founding / founders. The majority of our citizens get their news from the communist propaganda machines ( ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and to some degree, Fox), so they are led to consider the latest performance by Lady Gaga and are generally ignorant that we have a illegal Communist usurper in the White House who is rapidly permeating our entire governmental apparatus at the top with Communists and Muslims, while simultaneously taking a virtual wrecking ball to our entire country. We have a Federal Reserve ( which is not federal, but in fact owned by international bankers ) which is “printing” money – apparently by just making entries in an electronic spreadsheet – certain to cause rampant inflation ( been to the grocery store lately?) and certain fiscal collapse, using that money to buy bonds from us, charging us interest on the money they created, while registering a huge debt that we apparently owe to international bankers. There is a massive war on God or Jesus throughout the entire nation, from our schools to even our city, state, and federal governments. Over and over and over good, decent, patriotic Americans try to present evidence to the courts that we have a illegal in the White House who is using a forged birth certificate and fraudulent social security number, who by his own admission (father was a British-Kenyan citizen) is not a constitutionally-required “natural citizen” and thus INELIGIBLE to be the President of the USA, only to be ridiculed and turned away from courts at all levels, including the US Supreme Court! There’s much much more but this is getting too long! Bottom line – I see things all around us that need to be fixed, but where do we start? I don’t know the answer. My fear is that at some point the majority of the American people will finally awaken and it will be too late. Maybe its already too late. That’s when thousands – if not millions – will die. As I said before, God help us!
McCain should have been tried for treason at the end of the Vietnam war! He consorted with the ememy and later was instrumental in abandoning the MIA’s that could have testified against him.
