Joe Miller’s Fight Against Corrupt Alaska GOP

Joe Miller is the official nominee of the Alaska Republican Party for the U.S. Senate in a contest that has yet to be certified by election officials. Why? Because a federal judge saw a clear set of facts raising serious questions about the election, stepped in and blocked certification.

You would think the Republican Party of Alaska would be supporting its nominee at this difficult time. At a minimum, the state’s GOP leadership would allow simple propriety to keep their mouths shut. Don’t count on it. The Republican Party, controlled by the old-line RINO (Republican in name only) machine headed by the family oligarchies of the Stevens and Murkowski clans, have been running a nonstop, loud campaign against its own nominee.

The candidate battling Miller is RINO Lisa Murkowski, appointed by her father, the then-governor of Alaska, to the U.S. Senate. Murkowski was rejected by Republicans in a hotly contested primary earlier this year. The Murkowskis, famous supporters of the bridge to nowhere and other pork, cannot afford to lose the last vestiges of their familial power, so Lisa Murkowski launched a write-in campaign funded largely by business interests beholden to her clan.

The issues of election integrity are real and not to be taken lightly. For starters, election officials violated state law when counting the ballots. An Alaska law clearly explains the requirements for write-in ballots, and people must spell the name correctly in order for the vote to count.

Instead of following the law, the chief election official, Republican Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell, another Frank Murkowski protégé, chose to ignore the law.

Another violation occurred when election officials failed to give voters who provided no identification a special “questioned ballot.” Questioned ballots are used when election officials – who are required by law to verify the voter’s information – are not given proper identification.

This statute was also ignored.

Finally, when the write-in ballots were counted, thousands were in similar handwriting. According to a sworn affidavit provided to us, election observer Elva Bettine said, “It appeared to me that the name ‘Lisa Murkowski”‘that was written on many of these ballots was written by the same person.”

This would be a third violation of Alaska law.

Elections officials appear to confirm the Miller allegation that hundreds of ballots were written by the same persons. Lt. Gov. Campbell explained the similar handwriting this way: “It is my belief that in a state where for some, English is a second language, it is my job to ensure they are enfranchised in the voting booth.” The argument they advance is that poll workers needed to fill out the ballots because some voters just can’t do it. But ask for documentation on how many Alaskan ballots were filled out by third parties, and elections officials cannot provide it.

And now for the icing on the cake – it is nearly impossible to understand the numbers. Precincts that had never supported a Republican reported for Murkowski at rates of 80 percent or more. Election experts will tell you than no community is this monolithic; much less do they change voting patterns this dramatically in any election.

These statistical anomalies suggest election fraud or voter coercion. But then again, it is unique when a local Republican Party is working so hard for the Republican nominee’s opponent. RINOs feel threatened by the tea party, and as the established order they are fighting tooth and nail to hang onto their power.

There is no American royalty , that includes the kennedys , the bushes , nor the murkowskis , we obviously need an amendment to stop families from becoming politically powerfull enough to keep it a family business . With todays population it is not necessary nor practical to have any family or relatives in office at the same time less than four or five generations apart . Also no one should be permitted to hold any&all public offices more than eight years of combined service .

  4. Ignoring laws what else is new?
Obama does it, Lisa Murkowski (did I spell that right?)
    Why not can't we?
We could ignore the speeding laws, everyone does it, afterall.
We could ignore the murder laws, oh yeah, we already do!!

  5. ALFRED E. NEUMAN says:

WHAT ELSE IS NEW? CHICAGO, COOK COUNTY IS NO DIFFERENT EXCEPT THEY ARE ALL "DEMOCRATS"! RUN BY AN IRSH CATHOLIC FAMILY. ALASKA RUN BY A GROUP OF EQUALLY CRIMINAL POLISH/IRISH THUGS.

    • Now there's a breath of fresh air–racism and religious bigotry on this site aimed at someone other than blacks, Hispanics, Muslims and Jews.

      • Gary in Colo says:

But it isn't racism unless it fits the WH's definition.
I never saw Al. E. Neuman make any mention of opposition to tax increases,
excessive spending (though we will probably disagree on what is excessive, I know
Repubs spend too), and being forced to buy insurance (I know, motor vehicle owners
already had to, but not just for merely existing).

  6. WHEW !
WE HAVE GOT SO MUCH CORRUPTION IN OUR GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES TODAY —–EVERYWHERE !
AND WE CONTINUE TO LET THEM HAVE CONTROL OF EVERYTHING—-SO WHAT IN THE HELL CAN WE TAX DUMBBELLS EXPECT ???
COME 2012, WE SIMPLY NEED TO CLEAN HOUSE AGAIN WITH A GIGANTIC TEA PARTY MOVEMENT—REMOVING ALL" OLD FART RHINOS"—ALLL OF THEM !

  7. Victor Barney says:

Love you Joe, but you can't win! Nonetheless, keep fighting as long as you can!

  8. List the Alaska GOP in the enemy column.

Tea Party Patriots unite and clean house in the GOP. Voter fraud was rampant in many states if not all. NV and AZ show proof of massive voter fraud Yet no known investigations nor complaints have been filed by the GOP or affected candidates in either of the states in question. By current appearances much of the GOP is just as RINO as Murkowski.

    • Goldbug36 says:

Neither Party will file complaints of election fraud .. because they're both guilty. Both Parties are broken wings of the same corrupt bird. Only a viable, strong, constitutional, new, third Party can save the remaining remnants of our Republic. Why else do you suppose both the Dems and Pubs keep telling us that a third party will never win? This lesser-of-two-evils routine is getting a wee bit stale.

      • Well said! I agree with reservation. The issue I have a concern over is that a new "third'' party might dilute the vote enough to allow the Rinos and Dems to stay in office or win new campaigns.

        Your thoughts?

        • Unfortunately that is what has happened in recent attempt. And the two major parties have made it very difficult for third-party candidates to get on state ballots.

          • My point exactly!

The Tea Party needs to take over the GOP since it most closely aligns with our views (Rinos excluded).

So the option we the people should consider is to infiltrate the GOP at every State, and County, than National and take it over. Forget making the Tea Party a fringe party for 2012.

Our State and County GOP is a joke in Arizona. Michael Steele is a sad joke as well.

Am I dreaming or is that a possibility?

          • In the short term, I think you're dreaming. But much of the problem with American politics, in my view, is that we've become so accustomed to short-term thinking, and I agree with you that a takeover of the GOP is the most promising route.

For example, Ronald Reagan wasn't a sudden phenomenon–he was the end result of a small group of conservatives who evolved out the Barry Goldwater's campaign. Goldwater got crushed, but–along with other factors such as extensive use of targeted direct mail and conservative intellectuals such as William F. Buckley–gave rise to a successful movement. (Pardon me for going on, but I happened to write a book about the subject.)

And while I probably disagree with you about most things politically, I would like to see two strong and very different parties (made of people with integrity who respect one another despite their differences), rather than two parties that both rely on corporate America, differing mostly in what segments of corporate America they cater to.

          • (part 1 of reply)

Oh to have R. Reagan and W. Buckley back. What a dream come true!

Yes, two strong honest parties would be great. However, that sounds like dreaming too.

On the subject of dreaming and dreamers, if it were not for people with that capacity, would we have a free U.S. now?

In my humble opinion, we have two dishonest self-serving parties and some fringe parties all of which have led us to the abyss we now find ourselves.

That being said, one of the two main parties has gone socialist (communist wannabes) and is not salvageable. We have one other main party that is controlled by the good ol’ boy network. They desire to follow the business as usual path.

          • (part 2)
Does it not follow that the true hope for a strong party that serves the constituency in accordance with the Constitution as written and intended would be the best route to take?

I believe it does. I further believe the one party that We the People should consider taking over is the Republican Party for reasons stated prior. Let the new Socialist Democratic party die and be replaced by one more in tune with honest representation.

So let's all dream and act together to get our Nation back on track.

  9. huckingfarley says:

I too am against more government growth and interferrence in our lives , but I am tired of political dynasties running our country , if we are going that route lets just surrender to the Queen of England .Murkowski was handed her seat from her dad , Gore's seat was held by his dad , there was John and Ted kennedy , and Bush#1 &#2 , now there is Rand and Rand , a father & son both in office at the same time , I like them both but do not feel it is right . America was not intended to have a royal class and before the civil was no one could even have a title like barister .
