Jackie Chan may have stirred up a maelstrom in the US, but in Asia, he’s laughing all the way to the bank.
Last month, the 58-year-old action star claimed in an interview that the US is “the most corrupt” country in the world, and argued that Chinese citizens should keep criticisms of their country to themselves.
“If you talk about corruption, the entire world, the America, has no corruption? [It is] the most corrupt in the world,” he said in a Dec. 13 broadcast on Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV.
When the comments spread to the American press last week, they sparked widespread controversy.
Yet while the comments aroused indignation in the US, where Chan built his film career, they have done nothing to dent the popularity of his new film, “CZ12″ (short for Chinese Zodiac).

Maybe I should be angry, I’m not sure since he is correct. There has always been corruption in American politics but I am certain it increased beyond belief, especially since and just before Obama started his first term.
People hate the truth Mr Chan is right even bush was corrupt and you can go back their to his daddy and you can bet the bush family help obama get into office.
Well.. gee…. no wonder he said this country was corrupt…. Look who we have running it !!!
Very good observation, Mr Chan. If you look a little closer, you may notice that Hollywood is a big part of the problem. So, maybe, you are part of groups that keep feeding the beast, while the majority of Americans are fighting it!

Things won’t change in America until the STUPID realize that America is the most corrupt country in the world ( I’m not talking about it’s people) I’m talking the BROKEN Judicial System, the Corrupt Socialist Government from local governments all the way up to the Feds. It’s funny that ALL government SERVANTS think of themselves as Royality and the people as subjects, WRONG! There are more than 10,000 Unconstitutional Laws on the books that restrict the people but not the SERVANTS! We have the most corrupt judicial system because they are all money hungry greedy morons. There is no such thing as a fair trial any more. We have corrupt and overbearing police departments, that treat victims worse than the criminals! People need to step back and take a good look before we pass the point of no return! Semper Fi.
