House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa plans to sue Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday for refusing to provide documents related to the “Fast and Furious” gun-smuggling operation.
“The committee expects to file the civil contempt suit against the attorney general Monday,” a Republican source said. The suit will be filed in the federal district court for the District of Columbia.
The action is the latest escalation in the dispute between House Republicans and the Justice Department over the documents, which relate to a botched gun-smuggling operation.
On June 28, the House voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress and authorized the Oversight panel to bring suit to enforce its rights.
In Fast and Furious, agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives allowed assault guns to “walk,” which meant ending surveillance on weapons suspected to be en route to Mexican drug cartels.

You’re absolutely right Stevor! Key word here is “CIVIL”. Not a criminal suit but a civil suit. Wag the dog again! The rich and the powerful will always protect themselves. This is all a show, nothing more.
Here’s a thought that should be considered for the protection of this country concerning the southern border and many other aspects of the American way of life of the ‘United States of America’ and it’s “Natural Born Citizens”.
I understand that the border to the south of this country is a long one. But some parts are different than others. Let’s start with the more easily accessible areas where the problems of illegals seem to concentrate. I submit that if the Armed forces were to set up small bases at intervals along that line that will in all practicality overlap each other a bit. These bases will be comprised of the different branches of the armed services to enhance that entity. Army: infantry, tank divisions, Air corps, Special Forces. Air force: Air combat. Navy/ Marines. These bases can be set up and manned by the soldiers as training zones and act as protection of this country at the same time. Even at the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific Ocean can be secured by the navy and marines. Other section can be used for training mobilized divisions as well as training zones for the air force with reconnaissance flights and bombing practice. These bases will be great areas to teach these protectors of our country with a trade they can use when they are relieved of their commitment to the country. Of course the rules of engagement will be very strict. The border will be clearly defined and on the northern side of the line will be the DEAD ZONE for 1 mile where shoot first and don’t ask questions later will occur. Land mines, explosives of all makes and models will be set. The training will begin with the building of the bases by the soldiers. Plumbing, Electrical, Masonry, Roofing, and every aspect of construction trades will be taught by civilian professional of those trades. New equipment can be tested in those harsh environments. Nothing but USA made everything will be used during this period. The border will be completely and utterly defended against any and all invaders. The word will get around real fast that the Mex/ American border is now closed. The soldiers will be awarded points for kills and bonuses will be given accordingly. There must be an incentive involved in the protection of their country. Other parts of the border can/ could be protected by ‘Bikers for Freedom’ and camps can be set up for them as well. Any other patriotic citizen groups can sign up for a duty call at the border. Of course all illegals in the country will be given 24 hours to go back south or they will be rounded up and use as target practice for the new troops. Any and all non-Americans will be given a choice, Get out or die. Any politicians that don’t like this idea will be convicted of Treason sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole because if they don’t ‘Get it’ now they never will. Any and all foreign corporations will be given a week to get out of this country. Any and all religions, muslims especially, other than true Christians will be given a choice, get out in 24 hours or you will be rounded up and used by the troops as targets. It’s really better to use live targets than wasting paper targets. Save the trees. The birds and all animals of these areas will have a feast for a while. The flood will stop real fast. This country needs to get back to the way it was in the 50’s. All immigrants that have not been here for 25 years and if you cannot speak American English will be given a choice, Get out in 24 hours or you will be rounded up and used as targets. It will be very easy to find illegals that can’t speak American English. All their assets will be forfeited to the general fund to help Natural Born Citizens that are in need of anything that they need to live the American way of life. The Hard Line needs to be handed out. This country, because of the crooked politicians, has become a cesspool of all the degenerates of the world. All democratic politicians for the last 25 years will be asked to give up all their possessions or they will be confiscated and put in a trust to help the handicapped and in-need Natural Born Citizens of the United States. The Idea here is to get rid of all immigrants that are sucking on the taxpayer’s tit. No more welfare or food stamps or housing or any entitlements to anyone other than Natural Born Citizens of the United States of America. I personally don’t care how it’s done anywhere else in the world. No More funds to leave this country for any reason. United Nations will be asked to get out of the USA in 24 hours and all ambassadors will be rounded up and used as targets. If people want to come and visit and spend their money then they can go thru the Visa process, strictly enforced by checking in at regular interval, and do just that, visit, spend money then get the hell outa here. When they come they better know how to speak the American English language. Or they can bring a translator with them or hire a translator and create a job for a Natural Born Citizen of the USA. Any and all USA Politicians that even think of challenging the US Constitution will be charged with treason and executed as soon as possible. Their assets will be forfeited to the general fund to help the Natural Born Citizens of the United States of America. Their wives and children will be sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole. That will change the way those crooks think. Term limits 1 term and no pension, no benefits of any kind what so ever. No Lawyers will be allowed to run for any office. Business people should run this country. If they get caught breaking the law they will be sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole. Their wives and kids will be sent to prison for life without the possibility of parole. I could go on and on but I think, or at best, you should be able to get the picture.
