If Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak is toppled, Israel will lose one of its very few friends in a hostile neighborhood and President Barack Obama will bear a large share of the blame, Israeli pundits said on Monday.
Political commentators expressed shock at how the United States as well as its major European allies appeared to be ready to dump a staunch strategic ally of three decades, simply to conform to the current ideology of political correctness.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told ministers of the Jewish state to make no comment on the political cliffhanger in Cairo, to avoid inflaming an already explosive situation. But Israel’s President Shimon Peres is not a minister.
“We always have had and still have great respect for President Mubarak,” he said on Monday. He then switched to the past tense. “I don’t say everything that he did was right, but he did one thing which all of us are thankful to him for: he kept the peace in the Middle East.”
Newspaper columnists were far more blunt.
One comment by Aviad Pohoryles in the daily Maariv was entitled “A Bullet in the Back from Uncle Sam.” It accused Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of pursuing a naive, smug, and insular diplomacy heedless of the risks.

Israel, You must know by now that Barack Hussein cannot be trusted. He is a closet Muslim that the majority of Americans do not think he is a natural born citizen or a Christian. He is an Anti-American.
It isn't that we "think" he is not a NBC, it is impossible by definition.
That he is there and showing the hand of the anti American coalition backing him is both a tragedy and a blessing in disguise. Shocked? Come now, they are much wiser than that. The day Obama got into office and rung up someone in Gaza we all knew what was going to be his claim to fame in DC. Obama was blowing his own political wind. He got that from his childhood which is just one more reason he should have been held to the highest law and not given a free pass to toy with world peace, our fortunes and the lives of billions of people who depend upon the US for stability even when it is a bitter pill.

I really don't understand why, after the snubs to Mr Netanyahu, and his kowtowing to the Muslim communities, they're surprised by this; Obama is part of the one world order crowd and destablizing nations globally plays RIGHT into their hands all the way. He's working on destablizing the USA as fast as he can too, so why wouldn't he support destablizing the nations of the mid-east?

I keep up with several sources, and have a journalist friend living in the region as well, whom I hear from directly. The Jews in this nation voted Obama, simply because they vote Dem and that's who the Dems ran, nothing more enlightened or sinister than that. They didn't look either. Many of them are having second thoughts now, which is good. But the Muslims have been using stealth jihad, sneaking into leaderships all over; look at how CAIR/ISNA approved people are worming into our Congress as aides and such, to our FBI, DHS and DOJ in high positions, and influencing the training of LEOs at ALL levels across our nation; how they're influencing our schools and so on. Some days, it's terrifying to just read the news!
I agree with what you said except that it is not as simple as all Jews in this country being harmlessly Dem. Just as there are those so called Christians who would take advantage and come as friends bearing the olive branch!

I didn't intend to imply that all who voted for Obama did so "innocently", simply that many among the American Jewish community did so BECAUSE he was who the Dems ran, and they consistently vote Dem, as MANY, including 1 of my grandfathers, used to do in our Southern states, because they mistakenly believe the Dems are still the "party of the people" and haven't looked closely at what's actually been happening in that party. But the truth of it is that there is only ONE party in this nation, which has 2 heads. making it APPEAR as if there are 2 parties. And the socialist/elitist/ Marxist infiltration of governments, education, and the like has been going on for decades throughout what used to be called the Free World, so that there really is no such thing currently. No, optimism would be a bit foolish at this point in time. Who thinks the Israelis are shocked by this action.
