Why can't ANYONE refer to us properly? We are supposed to be a "Representative Republic", NOT a democracy! The founders did not want a democracy, they wanted to stay as far away from democracy as possible as it was "mob rule" rather than orderly self governance.
I have absolutely had it with the lackadaisical attitude concerning this term… even presidents use the term… It is obvious why we are in the situation we are in… NO ONE WANTS TO RECOGNIZE OUR TRUE FORM OF GOVERNMENT!!
If we think we are a democracy you believe that the constitution does not matter… only the will of the people (or in our case, the congress) rather than the checks and balances the Constitution requires…
Case and point is the blatant disregard for the Constitution concerning so many areas… The most egregious being when Constitutional Amendments are written in the belief they can "change the Constitution"… A Constitutional Amendment CANNOT change the Constitution… ONLY further define or address something not previously addressed by the original document… That is why the 16th amendment stood… because it only further defined that which was already allowed… It never CHANGED the Constitution to allow something forbidden. Yet, the Executive Branch (in concert with the congress) have been miss applying the IRC to tax things it was NEVER intended to.
The problem we have is that the people, as pointed out in your article are just as Hitler wanted, "useful idiots" because they don't pay attention to what truly matters… They think that "security" is paramount since 9/11.. However, there is no LIBERTY when you allow or demand the government to "protect you"…

This is the biggest thing that sticks in my craw also. I have been trying, for years to wake people up to the fact that The United States was founded to be a Constitutional Republic and that the founding fathers warned to never allow it to become a Democracy. It is shocking how many citizens of this nation do NOT even know a.) what the difference is between a Democracy and a Republic, or b.) that the Constitution states that we are a Constitutional Republic.
"Useful idiots", exactly, and it is our public education system, high jacked by the leftist liberals, that has turned so many generations of Americans into "useful idiots" by dumbing them down, to the point that so many Americans are pretty much brain dead when it comes to American history.
I can give you the exact date that the United States STOPPED functioning as a Republic and began to function as a Democracy, and that was on December 23, 1913 under the administration of Woodrow Wilson, when they illegally and unconstitutionally passed the Federal Reserve Banking Act and the IRS.
To be completely honest, it has been ALL THREE branches of the federal government that have been complicit in the trashing of the Constitution. The Legislative branch (both Houses of Congress) writes and passes illegal and unconstitutional laws, statutes, rules and regulations; then the Executive branch (President) signs them into law. Finally, the Judicial branch (the Supreme Court) will in almost all cases, back them up.
In essence, what I am saying is that instead of using their Constitutional powers of "Checks and Balances" to keep any one branch from usurping powers unto themselves NOT granted by the Constitution, each branch of the federal government is guilty of aiding and abetting the others in not only violating the Constitution, but in violating their Oaths of Office, and We the People have been cowed and intimidated into allowing it to continue. Sadly, both political parties are and have been guilty, because they both have allowed themselves to be BOUGHT and CONTROLLED by the same big money special interest groups.
It is time We the People force the abolishment of the National Education Administration, take back OUR rights and power to educate our children and take back control of OUR government.

No one is in the position or has the authority to stop Obama except those charged with that responsibility and they refuse to take it or have been paid off. Our military leaders are trying, but are not getting the support they need. The whole federal government no longer represents the people it is suppose to serve.

People, If a person only watches the news on their local TV stations they would never know anyting about whats going onin the world, let alone in their own back yards.
