It certainly seems to be the case. Recently, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg attacked 40 ounce “Big Gulp” sodas and put an end to them in NYC. On Tuesday, he told CNN’s Piers Morgan “hat he doesn’t “understand why police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say we’re going to go on strike, we’re not going to protect you unless you, the public through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe.”
He went on to say “police officers want to go home to their families. And we’re doing everything we can to make their job more difficult, but more important more dangerous, by leaving guns in the hands of people who should’t have them and letting people who have those guns buy things like armor piercing bullets.”
Mayor Bloomberg is a complete idiot. How does he propose that our “do-nothing” legislature go about keeping the police safe by not leaving guns in the hands of people that should not have them? Our FBI, CIA, ATF, SWAT, and absolutely every other Federal agency can’t keep guns (or drugs) out of the hands of people who should not have them. So lawmakers pass legislation to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens, who should be allowed to have them to be able to protect themselves from the people who should not have them (which are the same people that the Government can’t prevent from acquiring weapons.)
Mayor Bloomberg should stick to going after and imposing his will on things that he has the power to change, as he did by eliminating 40 ounce “Big Gulp” sodas in New York City. I might suggest he spend (or waste) some more of his time going after Taco Bell’s Big Burrito. He will have a heck of a better chance in controlling or eliminating Taco Bell’s Burrito than he will have eliminating guns from the millions of people in NYC who should not have them.
Unfortunately, Mr. Bloomberg is a typical career politician. Just like Obama, he has been at the public trough far too long, and they both immensely enjoy the limelight and the power that comes with their position (especially BO for obvious reasons.) They will both do anything and everything that they can to remain in the public eye and to wield their power and will upon the American people.

Bloomberg is a shining example of why the symbol of the Democrat Party is a Jackass.
Have him parade around braying self-importantly WITHOUT his entourage of ARMED bodyguards. How many celebrities and political hacks have armed guards surrounding them yet scream loudly to get little ol’ me ‘n you disarmed and defenseless? WE are attacked, maimed, robbed and murdered every day while they are protected by security that could stop a 16″ naval shell.

For an elected official to call for a Police strike to FORCE Citizens to turn in their guns, try to ban soda drinks larger than 16 oz’s, ban pizza, is totally against ANY part ofo ur Connstitution which holds this Nation togetherm yes, the man has some form of mental illness or is being blackmailed. Here we have the Russians wanting to open a military base in Cuba and Bloomberg is against the 2nd. Amendment???????? Not saying 100 armed citizens could stop a Russian ivasion but, 8 MILLION of us could.
As an Air Transport Pilot that frequents the mexican border towns flying private security personell back and forth, I see the east indian/asian people sneeking across the border and have reported it OVER 100 times BOTH to the FAA and DHS over the past THREE years, yet Obama keeps the damn border over.

Mayor Bloomberg wants to restrict the size of the drink that you wish to have. He (Bloomberg) thinks that you should only be allowed to have a drink that is no larger than 16 oz.. On July 4, 2012 Mayor Bloomberg was at Nathan’s in Coney Island NY where participants from around the world compete to see who can eat the most hot dogs (competitive eating contest) in a specified time allotment. A pig out if you will. Mr. Bloomberg was a speaker there, he did not rail against this gluttony, but you better not have a “Big Gulp” cup of soda.
the real question is who elected this person.
Mother Bloombergs latest thing is that he want to make it very difficult for mothers to give their babies formula in the hospital. A mother has the choice of either breast feeding, or feeding the baby formula. Everytime a mother wants to feed the baby formula, they will get an instructional tongue lashing on the benefits of breast feeding over formula. What if the mother has medical reasons not to breast feed? Or, if the baby for some medical condition can’t breast feed? There are limits to our government and what our government can tell you to do. This is not a decision that Mother Bloomberg should be making, and besides, it is none of his business.
I’m not familiar with NYC’s election policies, but it seems to me that the people of that city, if they truly believe in freedom from government control, should petition ASAP for a recall election. Bloomberg would make a great dictator, but he’s apparently not suited to run what should be a beacon of independence.
The governor of NY state has the power to remove the Mayor of NYC. I moved out of NYC almost 20 years ago. Mother Bloomberg circumvented the laws and got himself a third term by doing so. He is a tyrant.
We need laws that would prevent Idiots like Obama and Reid,Pelosie,Frank,Bloomberg and god only knows how many more from ever being able to run for public office and the few idiots like above that do get through then are out in less than a year!!
