I don’t think Piers Morgan’s viewers are smart enough to know, or proud enough to admit, that he and all talking heads on cable news are being fed talking points. Is anyone naïve enough to believe that CNN, Fox, or MSNBC are in business to actually inform us? Cable news networks are corporate entities as well as special interest mouthpieces.
Since the tragedy in Connecticut, news networks are out in full force pushing their agendas in order to cause us to have selective outrage. The unhinged and easily manipulated Piers Morgan is a perfect puppet for this task. And to network executive’s luck, the Sandy Hook school massacre couldn’t have happened at a more perfect time. It’s the holiday season, and networks charge companies more for primetime advertising.
The ruling establishment in Washington sees this situation as an opening too. It’s a holiday sweeps week, and networks are busy sensationalizing the massacre. The nation is still overly emotional, and progressives are moving faster to take away more liberties from Americans. The best way a tyrannical government can avoid a threat of an overthrow, is to disarm its citizens. We already have drones, satellites, the NSA, and internet search engines watching and recording our every move. A lot of us are fooled into thinking it’s better for our safety. We recently gave the establishment more power over us and our bodies with government-controlled healthcare. We also just saw the government fight back against citizens fighting against harmful drugs, vaccines, genetically-modified foods, and fluoridation of our water supply. A lot of us were fooled into thinking it’s better for our health. We recently watched the establishment buy up our financial institutions and auto industries. We were fooled into thinking it’s to protect us from corporate greed.
Why were we fooled? We’re being spoon-fed government propaganda by puppets like Piers Morgan, Sean Hannity, Rachel Maddow, and John Stewart. If everyone was in agreement, there’d be no need for political commentary, and the government would have a harder time taking down the Republic. A commentator’s job is to confuse the public into thinking the other side is at fault, when in reality, both sides are the establishment. Government is the problem. It’s never been a Right/Left thing. Why do you think lifelong bureaucrats are against term limits, debt ceilings, and balanced budget amendments?
It’s time to start paying more attention to citizen journalism. It’s sad that local newspapers and television news have also been swallowed up by bigger companies which have government influence. Sites like Western Journalism have plenty of knowledgeable people who are talented enough to start our own news reporting organizations that are free from bias or corporate and government influence.

Morgan and his infamous stupidity have now drawn him enough attention and liability to his employer to put him into a never to be seen again situation…he is probably toast…….No great loss.
Writer Sal Traina, although being published by the WCJ in a supposed appearance of objectivity, is obviously a liberal, no matter how he identifies himself, because talking about “corporate influence” and lumping Sean Hannity with Piers Morgan (to Sean Hannity’s discredit) are earmarks of a liberal.
But worse, Traina is out of touch with reality and the facts. The reason “lifelong bureaucrats are against term limits, debt ceilings, and balanced budget amendments” is that those bureaucrats are invariable leftists who care only about retaining their jobs (so no term limits), which they do by buying votes with government payoffs (so no debt ceiling or balanced budget amendments).
Lastly, Traina is either ignorant or deliberately untruthful in declaring “It’s never been a Right/Left thing.” Even a cursory reading of American history will establish the fact that it’s always been a right/left thing (what may change is what left and right support at a given time in our history). Traina also believes that if everyone were in agreement (an impossibility), there would be no need for political commentary. Since the liberal viewpoint is overwhelmingly the dominant viewpoint, everyone being in agreement would actually mean everyone adopting the liberal viewpoint. That is obviously what Traina (and the WCJ) want, but that’s not in the best interest of America.
Ii will in part agree with your assessment.
Ed. You suffer from Political Retardation. You are part of the problem…part of the ignorantly blind idealogues that are in denial about the progressive movement. Call me a liberal all you want. I am a classic liberal.
When have I, or this site claimed objectivity? Look at the category my writings are under. “Commentary” Op-eds are written with the sole purpose to be subjective, and to try to make readers understand their point. . I can’t believe that has to be explained to you. I’m sorry I upset you with my thoughts about Sean Hannity. If you’re too effing stupid to realize that without divisivness, people like Sean Hannity and Piers Morgan wouldn’t have jobs, then there’s no helping you. Fox News is the propaganda arm of the military industrial complex, and though it has a cast of SUBJECTIVE commentators that I could somewhat agree with, I, or any person with logical thinking skills can see through to the truth of the matter. Fox is all conservatives and libertarians have on any network.
If you had one shred of intellectual honesty and integrity, you would come to realize that YOU are the one who is so blind with a hatred for the left, that you can’t see the faults of your own side. If a right leaning libertarian like me has to be called a liberal because he can admit the faults of my side, then so be it. You, and people like you who live in a bubble, and get hurt by truths are just as damaging to politics and society as progressive liberals. That’s why you’re lumped together.
To sum things up. You and people like you are destroying this country. You sir, are a disappointment.
People like Ed are blind. They support the Tea Party, as do I, but get butt-hurt when Fox News is bashed. Fox news has helped progressives shut out the Tea Party, and further ruin their reputation. I used Hannity as an example because it’s easy. Not just on TV, but also on the radio, Hannity stutters as he tries to deflect questions and statements directed at his hypocracies. He claims to be a registered Conservative, but I question his principles. He claims a libertarian stance on some social issues, but when push comes to shove, he stands on the side against privacy for some. He makes excuses, and talks around questions regarding debt, defecits, borrowing, and spending of past Republican administrations. If he were a little more honest, and a little less narrow-minded about actualities, I’d respect him more. Why was he so quiet during the primaries for who he backed….claiming he didn’t support Mitt Romney…but all of a sudden, he was basically a part of Romney’s campaig? It’s because Fox News and the other networks already wrote the narrative and the outcome. People like Ed deny these truths. Ruport is a globalist who on more than one occasion voiced his support for world government. The ends justifies the means, and if that means you have to keep both sides of the political spectrum distracted to what’s actually happening, then so be it. Poor Ed. He and others like him are being manipulated, and they don’t even know it. They’re so blinded by their alternate realities, they attack anyone that disagrees with one thing. They call a libertarian, or a fiscal conservative a liberal for not agreeing with the entire Republican platform, and that my friends, is the likened to the intolerance that real Conservatives complain about coming from the other side. That makes Ed the progressive liberal, not I.
