It was rally around Juan Williams this morning on Fox News Sunday. Williams, who is a regular panelist on the Fox Sunday show (where he often crosses swords with Bill Kristol) appeared this morning along with Kristol, Brit Hume, Nina Easton, and host Chris Wallace, and was the recipient of much love, support and indignation.
I’ll post the video of the segment when it becomes available [Update: posted below], in the meantime, here is a short rush transcript, as they say. Update: I added Hume’s remarks about Bill Cosby below.
Said an indignant Hume: “It’s a howling double standard. The standard being applied to Juan Williams is manifestly not being applied to other NPR people. And I think it is simply this, that in the culture of NPR, appearing on Fox is a sin. And in the culture of NPR, for an African American man like Juan, regardless of his extraordinary stature, to be there and be kind of a Bill Cosby liberal, not a down-the-line liberal, is a sin as well. They have been gunning for him for years. These remarks about Muslim garb at airports was merely a pretext. They have been wanting to get him, and got him, and in so doing exposed themselves for who they are.”
To the best of my knowledge this is the first time the race question has been raised with regards to Williams’ firing from anyone, nor did Hume offer any examples to back this theory up. That said, no one including Williams countered the statement.

Does anyone with real knowledge of the World actually listen to National Public Radio? If you have good basic history of the United States, and world problems, you can't listen to the without much anger growing inside. I gave up on this bunch of intellectual midgets in the 1980's, when it became obvious that these people are mouthing the Progressive line from the Marxist theology. Only the brainwashed can have programs on air, they use "token" celebrities to give a false impression. So dump this fake network, and forget the whole affair; Juan is just one of millions that are rejected.

Yes; and Bill Cosby would be fired today too, but I doubt that he would be so nieve(ignorant?) about Marxism(Anti-Messiah) and their agenda at the end of man's reign of 6,000 years. Do you know that the Bible actually says that the FIRST(CAIN) will be LAST and the LAST(SETH) will be FIRST to be resurrected?

I'm not a Williams fan when the big blowhard Oreilly lets Juan take over I don't watch it but Juan does have the right to his opinion and most americans feel the same way Williams does when boarding a plane with towelheads or the burka women.NPR should be ashamed because as long as he bashes conservatives he was their darling similar to that great journalist James McPherson does on WCJ.Juan has made out better by being fired.

Pelosi, the fifth richest person in Congress is a brainless bitch. One more face lift and her ears will be together on the back of her head. Unless you live in the district she represents there is no point in trying to email her. I don't live there and I've tried so I know it is true. She also represents Samoa, and when she sponored the bill raising the minimum wage Samoa was exempted. Fishing is the only industry there and guess who owns $17,000,000 worth of stock in that company—-her husband! Then Samoa got several million dollars in one of the bailouts.
NPR had been hot to give Williams the boots for MONTHS, and they were watching and waiting for an excuse… ANY excuse!
It's absolutely mind-blowing that somebody as stupid and as weak in character as Schiller would be capable of running an outfit like NPR! I'd be just as hard on her if she were a man… her behavior is inexcusable!
