Hidalgo County is one of the fastest growing border cities in the U.S. and receives millions of dollars each year in federal grants to fight spillover crime. But are the grants working? One whistle-blowing deputy claims that the sheriff is faking the stats to make Hidalgo look safer at the expense of the taxpayer.

When I lived down in South Texas (Brownsville), when I was growing up, it wasn’t safe THEN! It d@mn sure isn’t safe NOW. The ENTIRE southern border is dangerous, and ya best not be caught outside after dark, i’ll tell ya what. I moved to Az during my senior yr in high school, over 20 yrs ago now, but the little family I have left back there, says it’s worse than ever….bars on all the windows, multiple locks on all the doors, gun shots don’t even bother people anymore….just a normal part of everyday life. Don’t let ANYONE tell ya the Texas border is safer than it’s ever been……Az border, Ca border…..we are in seriously DEEP trouble people.
i think they need to look into crimanal activity at the sherrifs and police department it dont sound right if u have increased crime u should get money to drop it deacresed crime less money who on the mexican side is he helping.we know obama dont care about america just illegal imegrants if u dont have usa id why should u b allowd to vote hell if u dont need it ill take my 1,3,and five year old to vote obama out with my down with the theivin gov
