How Big Is Michelle Obama’s staff’s budget?

As our government is buying 7 million tons of ammonia laced pink slime to serve our beloved schoolchildren, a credit card receipt which Michelle Obama allegedly signed right before the 2008 election for a $450 room service snack is just showing up.

She ordered 2 whole steamed lobsters costing $100, 2 lobster hors d’oeuvres at $50, and one serving of delicate Iranian Osetra caviar at $150. She also washed down her snack in her suite  #29m, allegedly at NY’s Waldorf-Astoria on Park Ave. with one Bollinger Champagne service costing $44. This brings her total bill to $447.39 after paying a $68 service charge and $34.59 in NY taxes.

Word coming out of a Canadian press outlet is revealing that American taxpayers are shelling out a staggering total of $1,591,200 annually for the First Lady’s 22 member personal staff.  She has deputy assistants to the President and Policy and Projects; a press corps; deputies for chief of staff social secretaries; and associate directors of scheduling, traveling aides, and correspondence people who help full time directors of these divisions.  This figure doesn’t include her make- up artist or First Hairstylist who rode with her aboard Air Force One on one trip to Europe.

“There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady’s social life,” reports the Canada Free Press.   Now we all have read of vacations in Hawaii, Spain, Aspen, Martha’s Vineyard, and a semi-secret trip to the state of Washington to visit her brother, who is a coach out there.  Allegedly, her two daughters were listed as senior staff aides on flight manifests on that jaunt.

Word coming out of a military web site is revealing that a new back-up aviation wing has been created to support President Obama’s Air Force One air fleet for the upcoming election year campaign flights.

This new air wing includes 5 C-130 H medium transport with 8 full sets of air crew, plus 60 maintenance personnel and 12 operations employees to constitute the 305th division out of Delaware.  The 306th wing out of Andrews AFB includes 4 C-17 heavy lift transports, 7 full air crew, 60 maintenance personnel, and 10 more operations employees.

As gas prices soar ever higher, as more and more out-of-work Americans have just given up trying to get jobs, and as our schoolchildren are being served pink slime, we have to ask what we are getting for our money.  The president himself shelled out $50 of his own cash to buy ribs on the campaign trail, but will he reimburse us for his hefty personal campaign expenses when Air Force One already costs a fortune?  And could his wife just leave her $588.00 sneakers at home the next time she appears at a White House garden event?
