The Justice Department is opposing changes in Florida voting procedures and says it wants a trial in the dispute, a move that could impact the state’s August primary elections.
In court papers filed Friday night, Florida officials say they strongly oppose having a trial and noted that the federal court hearing the case in the District of Columbia wants sufficient time to issue a decision before the August primaries. The state is seeking court approval for changes that shorten the time for voter registration groups turning in registration forms to 48 hours and that narrow the time frame for early voting to prior to 10 days before an election day.

my question is, why is he still breathing? I do believe that he does believe that all conservative are stupid, but to be honest, all those progressive liberals are the stupid ones. Just look at who ic from Chicago: obama and hillary. Look at who is mayor of Chicago–Emanuel. Look at who has Chicago ties: Holder. And anybody that does not understand Chicago politics needs to research the Daley years in Chicago. Union thugs/tactics. Disappearance of people who disagreed with them. Control by intimidation by the politicians. Community organizer (obama) with ties to ACORN, Soros, and other left wing liberals. And the list goes on and on. obama is an arrogant, egotistical, controlling, liberal who has a goal to destroy America and the principles our country was founded on. And the sad part is that the members of Congress and the Senate continues to turn their backs on what the American people have been demanding, which is for obama to produce the records asked for or start impeachment proceedings on him and others in his administration. His day is coming and he will be a one term president. The down side is look at the damage he will continue to do while he is there until January 2013.
Why can’t we all vote on that one day and dip our finger in the ink just like we taught Irag how to hold an election?
I think that when you register to vote they should take a copy of your finger prints and place the fingerprint scanners at the poling places check marking that you have voted already to prevent voters fro traveling around to vote many times and this will also prevent dead people and Micky mouse from voting
