Pressure was mounting on Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie today amid increasing confusion over whether President Obama was born there.
Abercrombie said on Tuesday that an investigation had unearthed papers proving Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.
He told Honolulu’s Star-Advertiser: ‘It actually exists in the archives, written down,’ he said.
But it became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama’s birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate.
And in the same interview Abercrombie suggested that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.
He said efforts were still being made to track down definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii.
Abercrombie was asked: ‘You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. How is that coming?’
He acknowledged the birth certificate issue would have ‘political implications’ for the next presidential election ‘that we simply cannot have’.

According to the Constitution, natural born status results when a person is born to two parents who are both citizens of the United States. Obama, AKA Barry Soetoro, held British citizenship through his father, and he also held Kenyan citizenship and Indonesian citizenship as well. There’s no provision, in the Constitution, to allow the president dual or multiple citizenships, and the fact that Obama/Soetoro held multiple foreign citizenships precludes him from holding the office of POTUS.

That's not what the Constitution says. The meaning of Natural Born came from the British common law, and it referred to citizenship due to place of birth. It never referred to the parents at all.
Every US citizen who was born in the USA is a Natural Born Citizen. Only naturalized US citizens, who were not born in the USA obviously, are not Natural Born and hence not eligible to be president.

To believe that dual nationality affects Natural Born Citizenship means that you think that a foreign law can determine whether a US-born citizen can be president or not. We do not allow foreign laws to have that much power.
Obviously:
Someone born is Kenya isn't subject to our foreign laws here. If Kenya sent a letter demanding he return for military duty, he must go back where he is subject to their laws.
Unless he has violatied ours, by not seeking a US citizenship, as all illegals must do.
Obama was NOT born in Kenya. He was born in Hawaii.

For Obama to have been born in any other country than the USA requires the combination of:
(1) Travel by his mother during late pregnancy (highly unlikely because of the high expense and high risk of such a trip in 1961);
(2) Birth outside of Hawaii (also unlikely);
(3) Birth abroad despite the absence of any foreign documents or photographs showing either that Obama was born in a foreign country or that his mother was in the country at the time (highly unlikely);

The willingness to believe that Obama was born outside of the USA despite the overwhelming odds against it and despite all the evidence that he was born in Hawaii is why Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly all call birthers crazy.

When Obama was born, citizenship, by law, was inherited from the father not the mother – in both Britain and the United States. So Obama would have been born a British citizen no matter where he was born.
In addition, our founders wanted to be sure that the president would be loyal to America and have no outside influence or loyalties to a foreign power either through citizenship or influence of a foreign born parent. The wording of the definition of "Natural Born Citizen" as established by our First Continental Congress in 1790 states:
"And the children of "citizens" of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States shall be considered as natural born citizens; Provided, that the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States."

However the Birth Certificate from Kenya does exist, & a Kenyan Official is willing to prove it to the Supreme Court, if they ever build up enough guts to try any of the many law suits in regard to the matter of Obama being a Legal President. And the original birth certificate does exist in the file, as the first confirmation of the Republican officials in Hawaii (the head of the department of health and the head of the department of vital records in the administration of Linda Lingle) showed. The first confirmation said that there was an original birth certificate in the file. The second confirmation said that it VERIFIED that Obama was born in Hawaii.

In the Uited States no person is allowed dual citizenship. Obama's dad already had a wife and family in Kenya therefore he could not be legally married to Obama's mother in the United States. If his mother gave birth in Kenya she was a minor and could not transfer her United States Citizenship to any child born out of the United States. Since his father was a Muslim and a citizen of Kenya Obama would be Muslim and a Kenya citizen. All this was ignored by Pelosi when she signed off on Obama as a US Born Citizen. If there were real proof that he is a citizen no one in their right mind would have spent millions to not make the proof available. Since that time, other SCOTUS cases have defined 'natural born' as a child born on the soil (jus soli) AND of parentS who were citizenS (jus sanguinis). It is my opinion that in order to preclude foreign influence on the POTUS, all three conditions must be met.

Authentic Hawaii Birth Records are kept in chronological order in numbered binders. On my Hawaii Birth Certificate, I can quote the binder and page number to have that original record copied, not pulled out of the permanent binder but photo copied. Obama can do the same but only IF he has an authentic Hawaii birth record. Any other record would simply be put into a file and NOT included in those binders which pages are numbered in chronological order of births. Hawaii Statute 338-17.8 allows a Certificate of Live Birth be issued to a child NOT born in Hawaii if the parents have lived in Hawaii for the year prior to birth, and does the registration within one year of that birth. That certificate would claim birth in Hawaii. This is what I believe to be on file for Obama. When asked if Obama was born in Hawaii, the Director of the Hawaii Department of Health said, “I have checked the records and they are in order.” This was a non-answer to a direct question. Obama proponents claim that the Director said that Obama was born in Hawaii, but that is a fabrication to obfuscate the question. She never made any such concluding statement.
