Last week, the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, named Bishop Salvatore J. Cordileone as the new bishop of San Francisco, the capital of Gay America. It is no coincidence that Bishop Cordileone chairs the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Subcommittee on the Defense and Promotion of Marriage. The bishop comes to his new position as an outspoken and persistent critic of Barack Obama’s efforts to nullify the Defense of Marriage Act. He vigorously opposes any movement toward recognition of gay marriage.
Bishop Cordileone was a strong advocate of California’s Proposition 8, which when passed in 2008 prohibited gay marriage and was subsequently overturned by a federal court.
Since 2008, he has been hated by the liberal press and gay activists alike. A 2009 article talking about the Bishop said, “As an auxiliary bishop in San Diego, Cordileone played an indispensable role in conceiving, funding, organizing, and ultimately winning the campaign to pass Proposition 8. It was Bishop Sal and a small group of Catholic leaders who decided that they had to amend the state constitution. It was Bishop Sal who found the first major donor and flushed the fledgling campaign with cash. It was Bishop Sal who personally brought in the organization that took the lead on the petition drive. And it was Bishop Sal who coordinated the Catholic effort with evangelical churches around the state. Bishop Sal even helped craft the campaign’s rhetorical strategy, sitting in on focus groups to hone the message of Proposition 8.”
The piece went on to quote Bishop Cordileone as referring to attacks on marriage as diabolical and an existential threat to society. Unafraid of honesty in his fight to protect Christian marriage, he uses the phrase “The Evil One” and states, “If you take marriage apart, everything comes unraveled. It’s been frayed at the edges, and now moving more and more toward the center. But you take marriage out, it all comes unraveled. It all comes tumbling down. And again, the Evangelicals, they understand that. They understand this is an attack of the Evil One at the core institution.”
When asked about his position on marriage, Bishop Cordileone answered, “…my stance is marriage can only be between a man and a woman, and I don’t see how that is discriminatory against anyone.”
Is this a direct response to Nancy Pelosi’s persistent attacks on Catholic doctrine? In a word: Absolutely.

The new Bishop of San Francisco. Bishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, is “guilty” of being a true Christian; an advocate of Jesus Christ by protecting marriage between one man and one woman as ordained by God. We all know God condemns homosexuality in the Bible. Homosexauality is an abomination to God. How can God, all-knowing and almighty, be discriminating? God is Love. He is perfect. The perversion of marriage is, indeed, diabolical. It’s an assault on the Creator; on the human body created by God. That comes from the evil one — satan. Satan wants to pervert and destroy anything God made. Satan and his slaves are the ones who hate, discrimnate, slander, lie, are intolerant, etc. . . . The list can go on. . . . They accuse God-fearing people of the very things they themselves are guilty of. Nancy Pelosi is nothing but a psue-Catholic. Anybody can call themselves Catholic, but not live it. Teaparty… been watching your posts for sometime now… Your spot on here as well, good work. I do not need, nor do I want EVER a Pelosi, gay loving, homo to tell me that I HAVE to tolerate the fags. God will do the judgement not me, but I still do not have to accept them or their lifestyle either. Now they teach my kids tolerance… BULLSHYT!! Relax. When the Muslim in chief in the white house opens our borders to the muslim brotherhood, hamas ant the rest ot them the Koran states gay`s are an abonation and must be killed. It won`t be long before there won`t be any gays in America and 40% lees people.
I think the Pope should excommunicate Pelosi, & all the other politicians who claim to be Catholic. Apparently American Catholics think they know better than the leaders of their denomination. ANYbody who thinks they’re a Christian, if they voted for anybody who is for abortion, same sex marriage, etc, is NOT a Christian, at least not according to God’s Word. If you say you’re against something, but don’t care if other people are for it, by electing them, you are saying you are for it.
Great idea, I second that idea, Pelosi should be thrown out of the Catholic faith since it was always only a front for her, since she and the rest of her kind do not honor or respect anything other than the way to conduct insider trading so they can line their wallets with millions of dollars as most long term Senators and Congressmen have been able to do.
Satan himself cannot keep me from my mission. I have contacted all my Democrat Senators and Representatives and I got the same answer from all of them. Also from the White House. “We are going to let the insurance companies provide the birth control and the abortion pill so the churches can act in good conscience.” I since informed that this charade is not good. If the churches provide the benefits even indirectly, the churches will be responsible. I told them that it is a lie to say you are not providing the birth control benefits knowing full well that your insurance company, to whom you pay premiums, is providing the benefit. I did not get a response from any of these Democrats. I won’t hold my breath.
Obvious response also is that the insurance company will pass on the added costs to the insured so that does not solve any consceince question. Idiot logic. as usual, contradicts truth and common sense.
As far as gay marriage goes, I will not get into it too deeply. I’m deeply opposed to it. I think it marks the beginning of the end of our society as we know it. I find that many people with mental illnesses are also gay and that they have been marrying for years. Is that a coincidence? No way.
I hope the Bishop’s first order of business is to excommunicate Pelosi.
