Gun Owners For Starbucks

handgun9572 Gun Owners For Starbucks

Those who prefer to drink their lattes packing protection on their hip turned out at Starbucks across the country on the first day of a “buycott” organized by gun owners — countering the Starbucks boycott called this week by the National Gun Victims Action Council.

The issue of Starbucks allowing gun owners to openly carry their weapons in states that have “open carry” laws has been simmering for years. The new boycott, which launched Tuesday, aims at persuading Starbucks to join a growing list of retail chains, including Peet’s Coffee, California Pizza Kitchen and IKEA, which prohibit guns even when they’re otherwise legal.

“Starbucks allowing guns to be carried in thousands of their stores significantly increases everyone’s risk of being a victim of gun violence,” Elliot Fineman, head of the Chicago-based council, said in a press release announcing the boycott.

Most of the visible action Tuesday seemed to be on the buycott side of things, though, as gun groups across the country urged their members to show up at Starbucks — not necessarily with their weapons — and spend.

  1. I’m glad places like starbucks allow gun owners to carry there. But for me, since Starbucks promotes the gay agenda and serves really bad coffee, I won’t spend any of my money there. I won’t even buy a SB giftcard for people that I know do go there.

  2. I agree with gun owners in giving Starbucks business to counter the anti-Second Amendment morons who want to violate Americans’ God-given right “to keep and bear arms” — right to self-defense. They say that Starbucks allowing people to carry guns into thier stores “increases everyone’s risk of being a victim of gun violence.” Well, that’s not true. Law-abiding Americans carry guns into Starbucks is a sure way of protecting anyone from being a victim of gun violence. See, you can use your gun to defend yourself from being a victim of gun violence. And it is a known fact that armed businesses, homes and individuals tend to deter criminals. Criminals are less inclined to enter a business and home that is armed. Use your head, Eliot Fineman. common sense tells you that law-abiding arms citizens are less likely to be victims of gun violence. 3. I didn’t know that Starbucks promotes the gay agenda. That’s unfortunate. i don’t agree with Starbucks support of a perverted, evil lifestyle. Website: http://www.haasstrep68.com

  4. Had I not heard the Homosexual support part I may have participated, but under these circumstances see ya Starbucks, your Coffee is to high priced to begin with and it isn’t all that wonderful! Now you want the Homo’s rubbing elbows wit good straight gun toters noooooooot! So buy away you flightey ones of the Aids society, and no you will get no sympathy on that either, You choose you loose. You were not made that way I do not care what you say! Case Closed! Sentence Death!

  5. Yes I agree jb80538, Starbucks made it very clear a few years ago that they support the Gay Agenda, Therefore I refuse to support them and patronize their establishments. But even before they declared their support for the Gay agenda, I refused to patronize their establishments due to their actions to the police and fire fighters and emergency rescuers in New York City on the Day the twin towers fell as we know it as 9/11. Starbucks insisted on charging rescuers and firefighters during a tragedy for cups of water to rehydrate themselves and wash the dust out of their mouths from the wreckage as they search to save and rescue human lives and STARBUCKS contribution to the tragedy was to charge for cup of water.

Home Depot has also declared their support for Gay Agenda’s. There has been conflicting stories about Target as to they would not allow Vietnam War Veterans to set up a booth on the sidewalk on Veterans Day, but allow Gay supporters to do it. Also it has been stated that Target is owned by a foreign based French Company. Though it is hard to find American owned and operated Companies to support these days. Snopes.com states that the allegations are false ,but it seems some boy cotters supporting the liberal Gay Agenda has attempted to try to impose a negative image for target. I need to do further research to confirm their stance.

  6. “Starbucks allowing guns to be carried in thousands of their stores significantly increases everyone’s risk of being a victim of gun violence,” Elliot Fineman, head of the Chicago-based council, said in a press release announcing the boycott.

I would tend to disagree with that statement using theory of “common sense”. A person who intends to Rob a establishment whether it be a gas station or a coffee shop or a grocery store is likely these days to have a gun regardless to the law of open carry or concealed carry. For the point of stating that Starbucks allowing open carry would increase everyones risk? I would think it would lower the risk, What fool would walk into a Starbucks in an attempt to Rob it or otherwise attempt to do some crime that would endanger others with patrons that are packing heat themselves?

Criminals target the defenseless and attack by surprise. Seldom do people with criminal intent intentionally walk into an establishment that they are out numbered by “would be” good Samaritans.

Same as Criminals tend to target “break ins” of the elderly and small females in which they feel they could easily over come and the least likely to come through a door or window and be facing a pistol or shot gun up their nose.

Take the gun rights away and the crimes will sky rocket because criminals will have guns and no fear to enter homes knowing that the law abiding citizen will comply with the laws in which the criminals have no intention of doing, there fore giving the criminal the edge and confidence of superior fire power.

  7. The idea that Starbucks would join the boycott against gun owners to open carry in their stores is outrageous. I don’t “open carry” when I go into Starbucks, but I do conceal. If Starbucks joins the boycott then I will stop buying my coffee there everyday. I purchase approx. $ 250.00 dollars per month at a few local Starbuck drive inns in my area and when I am motorcycling across the countryside during the summer I know I spend more than $ 300.00 per month because I am always buying my friends coffee and breakfast stuff on my Gold Starbucks Card.
