Must every tragic mass shooting bring out the shrill ignorance of “gun control” advocates?
The key fallacy of so-called gun control laws is that such laws do not in fact control guns. They simply disarm law-abiding citizens, while people bent on violence find firearms readily available.
If gun control zealots had any respect for facts, they would have discovered this long ago, because there have been too many factual studies over the years to leave any serious doubt about gun control laws being not merely futile but counterproductive.
Places and times with the strongest gun control laws have often been places and times with high murder rates. Washington, D.C., is a classic example, but just one among many.
When it comes to the rate of gun ownership, that is higher in rural areas than in urban areas, but the murder rate is higher in urban areas. The rate of gun ownership is higher among whites than among blacks, but the murder rate is higher among blacks. For the country as a whole, hand gun ownership doubled in the late 20th century, while the murder rate went down.

If the newsmedia was ANYWHERE honest they would illuminate the CONTINOUS murder in Chicago that until just very recently had one of the strongest Anti-gun laws in America. Why do we not hear the truth about gun violence in our larger cities. The criminals always have guns, the criminals are killing people yet we are not adequately informed. Somebody needs to shed light on the world of journalism which as slipped into obscurity as far as honest reporting goes. roberth
Most anti-gun nuts live in a world of make believe thinking if they disarm the USA the world will be a safer place for themselves. WRONG! The pious believe that the metaphysical and mythological have power over them and they will be protected. WRONG! Well…guns are here and are a true reality so wake up and deal with it! EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND THE CHILDREN. Good or bad it does not matter to the rational thinking mind because it just is. Just like taking down all our nukes while the world is escalating theirs will make the world safer. WRONG! Guns are just a hunk of steel. The real evil they are looking for is gun powder. Just a logical thought for a change. Want to clean up the air…get rid of the gas. Wanna disarm the world…get rid of the gun powder. Makes just as much sense. (You do know that was meant as a joke I hope!) People need to start dealing logically and rationally with all situations and come down from the silver gold city in the clouds.
gun control advocates are a threat to our freedoms and liberties. when our gun rights are gone our government can do with us as they wish. remember adolf hitler? pol pot? joseph stalin? killed millions of their own people,the muslim I believe has the same plan.
If a gang hits your neighborhood and starts killing people I wonder where you anti 2nd amendment nuts will run to? The anti gun guy or the survivalist gun owner that you have been persecuting?

It’s not about safety, for the liberal left and the corrupt politicians. It’s about disarming citizens they know would revolt at the coming Marxist/Fascist control they want to impose on the American people. They, the statists, are afraid of us, the people, as well they should be.
