It’s taken more than 200 years, two world wars, an industrial revolution, and the dawn of the Internet, but the United States once again finds itself at the mercy of an intolerant king.
Instead of a tax on tea, King Barack Obama and his Democrat Knights of the Fast Food Table seem intent on imposing a penalty on chicken — but not all chicken.
They are only targeting poultry prepared by Chick-fil-A.
And it’s not because King Obama has decreed that Chick-fil-A makes a product that is any way unsuitable for the American people. It’s because Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy had the audacity to make comments supporting families and the “biblical definition of the family unit” — comments that apparently conflict with the king’s recent pronouncement on gay marriage, even though a careful review of Cathy’s comments will show that he said nothing about gay marriage; the inference seems to have been started by liberal reporters and headline writers trying to stir the pot.
Nonetheless, Cathy’s comments have infuriated the petulant king and his court, so much so that King Obama’s mayors in Boston and Chicago issued proclamations of their own aimed at stopping further expansion of Chick-fil-A restaurants in their cities.
This is nothing short of outrageous behavior by a king who is obviously out of touch with the rest of us.
King Obama’s rule is so egregious, in fact, that the traditionally left ACLU has weighed in on the side of Chick-fil-A. A senior attorney for the ACLU of Illinois reportedly told an interviewer that any government that can exclude a business for being against same-sex marriage can also exclude a business for being in support of same-sex marriage.
It shows you how far to the left that the Democrat Party has gotten when the ACLU can’t support its positions.
Unfortunately, the king’s bad behavior doesn’t stop with the food we eat. Part of King Obama’s health care law also took effect recently. It will essentially force most employer-based insurance systems to provide free contraceptive services, including the morning-after pill.
The implementation of the health care mandate comes less than a week after a federal judge in Colorado temporarily blocked the government from enforcing its contraception requirement on Denver-based Hercules Industries, a private manufacturer of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, which happens to be run by a Catholic family.
This is a case where King Obama’s Justice Department offered the head of Hercules a choice: Either give your employees free contraception, or surrender your company to the crown.
Put another way: Give up your company, or give up your religion.
Not only is my father probably rolling over in his grave right now, but I would be so bold to say that FDR and John F. Kennedy are too.
We have a president who thinks he’s a king. And America cannot afford four more years of a king who can so cavalierly discard the U.S. Constitution when it doesn’t suit his political agenda.
I find it somewhat ironic that while the Justice Department is asking people to surrender their religion and their companies, some wealthy Democrats are giving up their passports to escape the tyranny of King Obama.

It was my understanding that the Catholic Church stated “we will not comply” with the contraceptives directive, which includes a lot of hospitals. Since Aug 1, I have not heard anything from the church. What gives?

Just as God gave Israel unrighteous leaders in hopes of drawing the hearts of the Israelite back to Himself, so to has He given Pres. Obama to America. Just as the majority of the Israelite failed to turn back to seeking God, so to has the majority of Americans fail to seek God. God has made his Judgment clear to us and America is a doomed nation….. Man’s so called wisdom in thinking he knows all that there is to be known has always amazed me. True wisdom is gained from what man has experienced in life and comes from God. There is nothing in this life that man can say for a certainty, unless he has seen, or experienced directly or indirectly that which pertains to his statements, beliefs, or faith. In other words, for man to say, “I know God does not exist,” just because he personally has not experienced a life changing event is nothing less than pure ignorance.
One revelation from God is worth far more than the knowledge gained from all the books in the world written by men who have no understanding or comprehension of the absolute truth of God’s WORD.

For you to believe in God and then to say America is doomed is to discount the power of God — either He has power over everything or He has power over nothing. As this is Christ’s Kingdom, how can you preach failure? We all know who wins in the end. Granted, we suffer because we have not engaged in the fight, We have not educated ourselves and our children concerning God’s wonderful works in history nor in the principles of government (all Christ’s) upon which this nation is founded. We have let ourselves and our children become immersed in the religion of humanism and wonder why our nation then becomes Socialist. To win this fight, it must start with the me. I must educate myself, and I must restore morality in my life. Then I will teach it to my family, then I operate in my community through my church, my business, my civil government. And slowly change takes place — that is how God works.
To flpatriot & rjn808: When God gives His warnings of judgment to man and than to answer a prayer for confirmations to His prophecies and as seen in the Bible it is a sure fired prophecy. Jonah was sent to Nineveh and all of Nineveh repented of their sin. God held back His judgment upon Nineveh for approx. 120 years and the children and grandchildren returned to the sins of their fathers and Nineveh was destroyed.
A generation will not pass after the re-gathering of the Israelites…. The way I see it is, the re-gathering started in May 1948.
One of our biggest problems is that the vast majority may say they believe in God, but their everyday actions prove otherwise. The Sovereign God of all that there is has made His judgment clear to those that are truly seeking Him. If man doesn’t seek God than, yes he can very easily be misguided by Satan servants. And there are many who are constantly telling us that there is plenty of time to seek God later in your life.
You say you are a God fearing man, this is good; fear Him who can destroy the body and cast the soul into hell.
Watchman48 — you miss factoring in the coming of the Messiah who is seated at the right hand of God (Ephesians 1:20); the Jesus that the Scripture says “For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things…” (Romans 11:36) This is His kingdom, no man can usurp that authority. Our job is to sit with Him in heavenly places — this means get to work and be instrumental in furthering His kingdom here on earth. All thrones, earthly kingdoms, principalities, and powers and might are subject to Him — all things are under his feet (see Ephesians). We have work to do, but it begins with the “me” — am I virtuous? Do I obey God’s Word? If each of us did that, it would be a different-looking America.

Because He is a Just, Righteous, Loving, Merciful and full of Grace and not wanting any to perish, but all to come to know Christ; He has given man the warnings of His wrath to come…. Just as most Israelites denied His warnings of destruction, so to does most Americans…… I thank God that He is a God of Grace, were He not. than there would be no hope for any of us in this age or any other age to come.

Be careful rjn808 that you are not just asking for a benevolent king. A king is a king is a king. Change will happen in our nation only when “we the people” (that is you and me) become a moral people educated in the principles of civil government upon which this country was founded (these are Christian) and study the unrevised history of this nation and see God’s hand in its formation — and then become involved once again in the government of our country. Liberty requires constant vigilance. We have neglected that duty and we are paying the price.

In just 3 1/2 years one man has so crippled America by debt, regulation, fiats, lies, deceptions, evil law suits, corruption, the looting of the treasury to enrich his cronies, attacks on morality and the dismantling of our national defense that we might not survive as a nation. If he is re-elected I guarantee we will not have a nation. It took 213 years to build this great nation, but since Reagan the succession of increasingly bad presidents (Bush, Clinton, Bush and King Barack ) have left us in such a weakened state we won’t survive unless a Romney administration not only is in power but makes extreme effort to reverse the course that the past four numbskulls have set in place. And yet there are millions of mindless fools ready to vote for this steely eyed, mean spirited and cold hearted tyrant. Heaven help us.
ConservaDave — and it is our fault that it is this way. “WE the people” have allowed it to happen. You can’t blame the people that WE voted into office — a fox is always a fox, he cannot be anything else. It is time we mended our own lives and began taking back this nation. The current administration is the result of years of education in humanism and socialism in our public schools; the result of the churches retreating from the public arena; and the result of the populace abdicating their responsibility to be vigilant.
The question is: What will it take to awaken this nation? Remember how bad it was with Carter? The people became concerned. We got involved. Reagan got elected. Then what did we do? We went back to our old ways — apathetic and continuing to do what we did to get us into the Carter mess in the first place. What can we expect?
We have to stop blaming someone else, admit our fault, repent of our ways, and resolve to fight for the liberty that God has given us!
If he by CROOK gets elected again the America we know and love will cease to exist. This will become odummer land home of the socialistic Emperor ODUMMER
My question would be: what are you doing to ensure this doesn’t happen? WE the people have a responsibility to guard our liberties. Have you done that? Do you live a moral life? Do you study our history? Our Constitution? Our form of government? If not, and you are not willing to do, then we will continue down the slippery slope until each of us decides to take responsibility for our nation.
