Glenn Beck’s Departure From Fox News, Part 1

On rare occasions, a unique figure bursts onto the national stage and has a dramatic impact on politics, culture, or both. Glenn Beck is one of those figures. He is surely the biggest, fastest, most controversial star in the political commentary business in my lifetime.

Beck is a real-life version of Howard Beale, the fictional television commentator in the 1976 film classic “Network.” Beale whipped his cultish TV audience into a frenzy, exhorting them to stick their heads out the window and chant, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!”

Much to the chagrin of the oligarchy in Washington, however, Glenn Beck is not a fictional character. He’s real, and he has succeeded in enlightening his audience far beyond Beale’s simple rants about the unfairness of life. Beck is much more knowledgeable, much more factual, much more rational and much more focused on the key issue: America’s loss of liberty.

I find it more than just a bit ironic that ultra-liberal CNN Headline News gave Beck his first forum on television. There, he created a huge stir with his “rodeo-clown” antics and his willingness to talk openly about his drug- and alcohol-addicted past. But as he increasingly added his political views to the mix, people started asking, “Why isn’t this guy on Fox News?”

  1. We do appreciate GB. However, he is limited to what he can really cover. He does say question with boldness, and the facts keep accumulating about the liar-in-chief and his UNKNOWN past. Why can he hold office on what we DON'T know about him. Why does he have a Connecticut SS# ? Why can't anyone (at all) remember him at Columbia? What passport did he go to Pakistan on? Now that the only guy seeing the passport info is shot dead in DC what is up with that? Why did he seal his past within 24 hrs. of being in office?
Glenn Beck could be a national hero if he covered the eligibility issue. Plus, it doesn't matter about Hawaii birth. He was never a natural born citizen by his own admission in his book. Constitutionally he can't be qualified due to his father never being a US citizen. Why is Congress so blind to that? or Glenn Beck? Did FOX suppress the subject of the impostor in the white house?

  2. The public in broad daylight horrorble assassination of JFK is the number one reason to never bring up certain subject in the media to the public.obama was pick long before we even knew who he was. They, if you watch (THE MONEY MASTERS). youtube it will show you who they are in great detail and understanding. They control the out come of votes and elections using the media to make you and i think we have a say by voting , If beck were to ever investagate any of the questions we demand an answer to he would disappear, orbe found dead. Any one that has the ear ofthe people must choose very carefully were they tread or there dead but beck gets paid to push issues and never touch others. THAT COME FROM FORMER NEWS ANCHORS, THAT GOT CANED FOR IT.

  3. Charles Richardson says:

The problem with America now is that there are too many cowards in this country who can't stand on their own two feet and deal with the truth. Glenn Beck provides truthful information and their are too many who can't handle it. In the movie "A Few Good Men," Jack Nickelson made an accurate statement about Americans when he responded to Tom Cruise, "You can't handle the truth." Truer words could not have been spoken. Even though he was speaking to Tom Cruise, he was really speaking of a majority of Americans. Most Americans would rather believe a lie.

  4. In part 2, Ringer offers four reasons that Beck might leave Fox, demonstrating the paranoia and the love of nutty leaders common to the typical WND follower:
    Assassination.
    Roger Ailes retires or dies.
    Rupert Murdoch dies.
"The Godfather option": Barack Obama sends "the boys" over to have a little chat with Murdoch and make him "an offer he can't refuse."

Funny, he never considered the fact that Ailes and Murdoch don't care who is on their air, as long as he brings advertisers and viewers. Beck was a failure at the former, and slipping at the latter.

  5. GLEN BECK MUST STAY ON FOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMERICA FLOOD FOX AND TELL THEM HE MUST STAY OR WE WILL NOT WATCH FOX ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GLEN YOU CAN'T GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Donna McCance says:

I find it amazing that Glenn Beck is being dropped from FOX. We have watched Glenn for a long time and one thing we found was that Glenn never made a comment that he did not back up with proof. This news has just been announced and we will wait and see but I am sure that Obama, and Geo Soros had a lot to do with it, along with the unions and communist leaning organizations. Just remember, "it ain't over till it's over".
