It was a hectic day for America as Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. The inaugural events were the main focus of every news station and social media feed.
Among the notable things that happened Friday, many people found a bit of humor in former President George W. Bush’s reactions during the ceremony.
Some also were amused seeing the Texan struggle to put on a plastic rain poncho.

It seemed like Bush couldn’t decide which part of his body he wanted to keep dry, as guests were given only one small poncho.

Social media has become a huge influencer in how the public perceives political figures, as images that would have been missed years ago now are seen by millions.
This has been a great asset but also a boon to those running for office.
One notorious instance featured Hillary Clinton during the Democratic National Convention. The former secretary of state was caught making a strange face as balloons fell from the ceiling to celebrate her nomination.

On the flip side, Trump was able to use social media effectively during his run as a Republican candidate, communicating directly with supporters and outlining his vision for America.
