The Associated Press reports that former President George H.W. Bush, 88, has been admitted to the intensive-care unit at Methodist Hospital in Houston, following “a series of setbacks including a persistent fever.” He’s been battling bronchitis, but it appeared to be under control before his fever developed. The exact cause of the fever evidently remains unknown.
Bush has been in the hospital since November 7, with a few days at home in the middle of the month, and entered intensive care on Sunday.
