Dan Savage: ‘Tolerant’ Bully

Dan Savage SC Dan Savage: ‘Tolerant’ Bully

They used to arrest middle-aged perverts who get their jollies from talking dirty to children. Today, they get a television show, a nationally syndicated column, a lecture circuit, and multiple visits to the Obama White House.

You know: “Forward.”

The irony is palpable. Dan Savage, sex columnist and founder of the LGBT anti-bullying “It Gets Better” campaign, has been outed. Not as a homosexual. He’s out and proud in that regard. In fact, Savage pushes his “anything goes” brand of sexual anarchy on kids worldwide. MTV has even given the sex-obsessed radical his own show, “Savage U” – a moral-relativist platform from which to corrupt the kiddos.

Creepy stuff.

No, Savage has finally managed to publicly discredit himself as the anti-Christian bigot and bully he’s always been. Never again will this guy be taken seriously as an anti-bullying crusader.

Savage lectures teens in high schools and colleges around the country on the benefits of “non-monogamy,” the occasional “three-way” tryst, and any other disease-spreading sexual impulse that might cross their impressionable, hormone-charged young minds (and many they can’t yet imagine).

Well, recently, rather than just shocking his teenaged audience with vulgar, sophomoric psychobabble as usual, Savage apparently thought it’d be fun to bully the kids with whom he disagreed.

While addressing a crowd of hundreds of high schoolers at the National High School Journalism Convention, Savage launched into an unhinged anti-Christian diatribe. He advised the teens to “ignore the bulls–t in the Bible” about sexual morality. “We ignore bulls–t in the Bible about all sorts of things,” he barked.

He then walked through a list of the same tired left-wing talking points about the Bible – long ago discredited – covering shellfish, virginity, etc. “The Bible is a radically pro-slavery document,” he said (anti-Christian trash we’ve come to expect from the secular left).

But when a hundred or more kids got up and began to walk out on Savage’s anti-Christian rant, the 47-year-old tough guy turned his hostility toward them. “It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansya–ed people react when you push back,” he mocked. Some of the young girls were seen leaving in tears.

“It took a real dark, hostile turn, certainly, as I saw it,” teacher Rick Tuttle told CNN. “It became very hostile toward Christianity, to the point that many students did walk out, including some of my students.

“They felt that they were attacked … a very pointed, direct attack on one particular group of students. It’s amazing that we go to an anti-bullying speech and one group of students is picked on in particular, with harsh, profane language.”

But the only thing surprising is that anyone is surprised. Dan Savage is known in Christian circles as “the gay Fred Phelps.” Phelps, of course, is the similarly cartoonish Westboro Baptist “preacher” who gained notoriety by protesting military funerals with his incestuous brood of pseudo-Christian haters. Savage is Phelps’ photo negative. Whereas Phelps’ hateful mantra is “God hates fags,” Savage’s central message is “I hate God and anyone who loves Him.”

Savage’s primary claim to fame is that he formed the website “Santorum.com,” to create a “Google bomb” that would smear the good name of former senator and presidential candidate Rick Santorum. On the site, he redefined the senator’s last name, Santorum, using language so vile and repulsive that I won’t repeat it. When Christian advocate and Americans for Truth founder Peter LaBarbera asked Savage to take down the website, Savage responded, “I’m asking Peter LaBarbera to go f–k himself.”

Savage also once bragged that he licked the doorknobs at former Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer’s campaign office in hopes of giving Mr. Bauer the flu.

Savage told the Daily Pennsylvanian in 2006 that Carl Romanelli, a U.S. senate candidate he didn’t like, “should be dragged behind a pickup truck until there’s nothing left but the rope.” In the same interview, he opined: “Mr. Romanelli should go f–k himself.” He also once said on HBO that he “wished all Republicans were f–king dead.”

Yep, this deviant troglodyte is the face of the left’s anti-bullying efforts. I’ve often said that those wonderfully “tolerant” liberals – the self-styled opponents of “hate” and “bigotry” – are the most intolerant, hateful bigots among us.

Thanks for proving my point, Dan.

Tales From Fast And Furious Part 6: Obama Administration Cover-up

Dynamo CBS Reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who broke the Fast and Furious Scandal in the MSM February 23, 2011, and who was literally screamed at over the phone by DOJ spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler and White House spokesman Eric Schultz for doing so, has continued to hit hard on the government’s so-called ‘botched’ gun-walking program. On March 3, 2011 Attkisson interviewed ATF whistleblower John Dodson, and she later released secretly recorded audio from mid-March 2011, where an ATF agent and a gun store owner discuss the developing Fast and Furious scandal. The audio was secretly recorded by Lone Wolf Trading Company owner Andre Howard, who presumably tries to get the ATF agent Hope MacAllister to admit that ATF told U.S. gun dealers to sell weapons to known Mexican drug cartel straw buyers. Howard gets MacAllister to not only admit this, but along the way, McAllister also acknowledges that there is a concerted effort by DOJ, U.S. Attorney’s office, and ATF to keep the scandal out of Congressional hands. These interviews and secret audio recordings are no secret, yet the MSM has dutifully kept it out of the news, and they are provided as a context to Obama Files’ continuing ‘Tales from Fast and Furious’ video series.

Destroying The California Dream

Californiamap SC Destroying the California Dream

Cuba is a one-party state. North Korea is a one-party state. California is a one-party state.

I’m not trying to draw any false parallels.

But I’ve noticed bad things happen when one political party has complete control of a government for too long, whether it’s the Communist Party that’s wrecked Cuba for 50 years or the Democrat Party that’s wrecked California for 40.

So far, the Democrat monopoly in Sacramento has done nothing to cause Californians who seek greater freedom, lower taxes and a better business climate to begin taking rafts to Oregon or Mexico. But give the Democrats time.

They’ve already bankrupted the state and strangled its economy with high taxes, expensive green-energy policies and “progressive” regulations that scare off businesses, jack up housing prices or inhibit growth.

The other day the California Assembly proved once more that there is no bill too crazy or trivial for it to pass.

By a vote of 47-24, the Assembly passed AB 1960. The bill, almost certain to be approved by the state Senate, would allow owners of businesses that contract with the state to voluntarily identify themselves as gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual.

The Democrat who sponsored the bill says it’ll let state officials and gay or lesbian groups pin down how much LGBT-owned businesses are helping the state’s economy. Republicans said it digs too far into private lives and is the first step in a quota system that would benefit the LGBT business community, which, the way things are going, probably already accounts for half of the state’s GDP.

Assembly Bill 1960 is likely inconsequential — just another government joke no one thinks is funny. But its passage is also a sign of a larger and very important long-term problem — there are too many Democrats in power in Sacramento and too few Republicans there to stop them.

Forget which party has held the governor’s office. It’s the Assembly and the Senate — Democrat-controlled playpens since my father was governor — that have turned the Golden State into the Great Train Wreck State.

Joel Kotkin probably knows more than anyone about the paradise California once was and the dysfunctional place it has become. Kotkin, one of the country’s top demographers, pointed out the other day that almost 4 million people have left California in the last 20 years. That’s 4 million above and beyond the people who have moved in from other states.

He says most of those fleeing are young, middle-class families seeking lower taxes and affordable living costs. Apparently, the chance to ride a bazillion-dollar bullet train from Los Angeles to San Francisco with their grandchildren is not worth 20 years of pain and suffering.

Kotkin, who calls himself a “Truman Democrat,” says the regime in Sacramento and its “progressive war on the middle-class lifestyle” is responsible for the destruction of the California dream. It’ll only get worse, he says, what with Gov. Brown proposing new taxes this year that are ostensibly aimed at “millionaires” but will hurt small businesses and young families.

I’m no demographer. But as far as I can tell, there’s only one sure way to reverse California’s death spiral — vote the Democrats out of power in Sacramento.

That means Republicans — conservative Republicans allied with sensible Truman Democrats — need to stand up and take back their state from the crazies.

The trouble is, the Republican Party of California is almost as much of a mess as the state. It has no leadership, no heroes, little money, and no clear message. The state GOP has another big problem — Republicans have run out of courage. While the Democrats have been going nuts, Republicans have lost theirs.

Obama’s Broken Promises: Jobs And The Economy

In 2008, President Obama said he measures progress by how many people can find a job. Today, the unemployment rate is still over eight percent, and nearly twenty-three million Americans are unemployed, underemployed, or have stopped looking for work.

Carter To Obama: Same Old Story On Energy Policy

Jimmy Carter SC Carter to Obama: Same Old Story on Energy Policy

Editor’s note: A version of this article first appeared through the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

As spring bloomed, the president addressed the nation on energy. The president told us, “Without our planning for the future, it will get worse … The oil and natural gas that we rely on for 75 percent of our energy is simply running out.”

Unless profound changes are made in the next decade, the president warned, the world will demand more oil than it can produce. He called for “strict conservation” and switching to “permanent renewable energy sources like solar power.” Because such sources promise future energy independence—or at least according to the president—his administration would spend billions of taxpayer dollars on wind, solar, and biodiesel, plus offer massive “clean energy” subsidies.

No, the president is not Barack Obama, and the speech was not delivered in 2012. It was President Jimmy Carter, speaking on April 18, 1977.

Since that time, American oil and natural gas production has skyrocketed. The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that natural gas consumption has doubled since 1980, production is at an all-time high, imports are at a 20-year low and heating expenses are the lowest in a decade>. Meanwhile, the latest recession barely affected North Dakota, a state rich in oil and natural gas.

President Carter’s speech sounds familiar because it is based on the same flawed assumptions that underlie many current politicians’ belief that wise and enlightened central planners in Washington can manage the countless and infinitely complex transactions and calculations that comprise a $14-trillion-dollar national economy.

These politicians hold on to these flawed beliefs despite being regularly embarrassed by them. For example, a recent Capitol Confidential article and video showed President Obama and two senators from Michigan praising a heavily subsidized “green energy” battery manufacturer that is now under severe financial stress and has had its federal money pulled. Another Capitol Confidential piece reported a litany of similar embarrassments on a YouTube channel created by the Michigan Economic Development Corp.

Economist F.A. Harper once wrote, “If the planner could plan discovery for others, he probably would have made that discovery himself in the first place. If he is more able in this respect than the others, he is wasting his time not to do it himself; if he is less able, he can hardly plan it for others who are more able than he is.”

It’s much easier for politicians to make plans with other peoples’ money. It would show real leadership for government to actually do less.

Do These Protestors Even Know What They’re Protesting?

This is about the saddest group of protesters I have ever encountered. Not one of them knew what there sign meant or why they were there. A spokesperson for group denied they were being paid; you be the judge.

Bill Ayers Roots For The Decline Of America

I can’t believe that this guy is still teaching college students in America today. He really should move to Europe or the Middle East; he would probably be more welcome there.

Michelle Malkin Calls Out Juan Williams

“These occupiers and the Democrats behind them, can no more disown the violent agitators, than they can disown the stench that comes from these filthy encampments!” says Syndicated Columnist, NY Times #1 Best Selling Author, Michelle Malkin, in a smackdown debate with FNC’s Juan Williams regarding the recent May Day terroristic actions displayed throughout the country by the Occupy movement.

Things Not Looking Good For Obama, Jackson, And Sharpton

President Obama face WH photo SC Things Not Looking Good for Obama, Jackson, And Sharpton

Recently released results from the Public Religion Research Institute hold seriously bad news for the long term viability of the Democrats and Barack Obama’s chances of reelection.   The pollsters spoke to adults between the ages of 18 and 24 about their views on race relations, and their findings were surprising.

One of the questions they asked these young people centered on whether they thought the government paid too much attention to the complaints of blacks and minorities in general.  They were asked about the existence of reverse discrimination and if it was a problem in their view.

These young people – “millennials” as they are labeled by sociologists- don’t seem to be following the Democrats’ script on how they should think about racial issues. Almost half of them (46%) believe the government pays too much attention to the complaints of minorities, and 48% feel that discrimination against whites is a considerable problem.

When the responses from minorities were removed to count only the responses from white millennials (who represent 2/3 of the millennial population), a sizable majority  (56%) agreed that the government caters to the concerns of minorities too much. This is not good news for a Democrat Party that so heavily relied on “white guilt” to elect an unqualified black man as our president.

This is a hammer blow to the race-hustling world view of the Democrat Party and it’s main “white guilt” salesmen like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.  Young white people have been taught a conflicting message, and the framers of that message will reap the destruction it brings.

A lifetime of listening to baseless charges that they have somehow discriminated against minorities is apparently not being passively accepted by white millennials. They don’t feel guilty of discrimination toward minorities. Apparently, a majority of them are beginning to compare the devastating effect “Affirmative Action” programs have had on their innocent parents and older siblings to the unwarranted preferential treatment of minorities by our government and refusing to smile and accept their undeserved punishment.

If there is worse news for the Democrats in regards to white millennials, it’s that they are just beginning to vote.

Obama: We’re Giving In To The Taliban

Obama announced yesterday that his administration is “pursuing a negotiated peace with the Taliban” in Afghanistan. Two hours later, they bombed the US Embassy. How’s that working out for you, Mr. President?
