7 of the 8 Missing Iowa Precincts Voted Against Romney in 2008

by Ben Johnson, The White House Watch

GOP officials have reported that Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucuses by 34 votes. However, votes in eight precincts will not be counted — and Mitt Romney lost seven of the eight precincts in 2008.

Officials say these eight districts did not report their results on the official “Form E” receipt. Several of the precincts overwhelmingly favored Mike Huckabee four years ago, with three of them awarding Mitt … Read the Rest of this Post

To the Editor:

The following letter was sent to Congressman Murphy this date.

Dear Congressman Murphy:

I request you start impeachment hearings on the President

Are Milquetoast Moderates Afraid of Winning?

by Doug Book

Northeastern, milquetoast Republican “moderates” who toil long and hard to avoid the social embarrassment of association with uncivilized, conservative inhabitants of flyover country must understand that we in the Party base are not willing to graciously lose the 2012 election.

If Karl Rove, George Will, and Peggy Noonan wish to escape the disapproving gaze of their haughty Hamptons friends by mocking every Republican candidate who vaguely appeals to conservatives, let them. This … Read the Rest of this Post

Liberal Logic: Arresting Fewer Illegals Proves the Border is Secure

For a conservative, observing the average liberal mind is an exercise in disorientation. In the photo lab of reason, they appear to have gotten only the negatives. Although we believe in civility and dialogue, speaking with a doctrinaire left-winger often proves meaningless unless you intend to write dialogue for Bizarro World. Now, another such moment is upon us. Judging from the liberal media, the newest talking points have apparently gone forward in the… Read the Rest of this Post

Video: Govt Says Hunters, Extreme Couponers are Potential Terrorists

by Ben Johnson, The White House Watch

How much does the government fear its own citizens? So much so that guidelines for spotting potential terrorists include anyone who has more than seven days of food in his home, anyone who is missing fingers, and anyone who posses multiple firearms or weather-proof ammunition. These criteria are so broad they put every hunter, sportsman, and extreme couponer in the United States on par with Osama bin Laden.… Read the Rest of this Post

Who’s to Blame for America’s Terrible Government? Apathetic Conservatives

by Ron Reale

Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature…If the next centennial does not find us a great nation…it will be because those

New(t) Nonesense on Amnesty

by Joe Guzzardi

Ask any American politician to explain his immigration philosophy and the first words out of his mouth are “Secure the border.” What they say in their second breath is what counts. If they make a strong statement endorsing E-Verify, then it’s probable that they’re serious about reducing immigration.

If however they proceed to outline a grand sounding plan that opens the borders wide to all comers, then you… Read the Rest of this Post

Study: Two-Thirds of Americans “Downsized, Devastated, or Totally Wrecked” Under Obama

Three years into the Obama administration, and 29 months after the putative end of the Great Recesion, only seven percent of Americans have returned to the income they enjoyed before the recession. A new study finds fully 69 percent of Americans have experienced devastating economic conditions during Barack Obama’s time in office. Republicans Don’t Understand our Two Simple Choices on Immigration

by Jan Ting

When I listen to the presidential candidates debate immigration policy, I don’t get the feeling that they understand the choice that we have to make, and that includes President Obama. It’s a binary choice. We have to choose one of two options. Option One: Let everyone immigrate to the U.S. who wants to come here in search of a better life. Option Two: Enforce a numerical restriction on the… Read the Rest of this Post
