An Open Letter To Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong SC An Open Letter To Lance Armstrong

Lance,

So many admired you for all your great cycling accomplishments, and multitudes were disappointed to learn your achievements were tainted with cheating. But, Americans are a forgiving people; and most will eagerly accept your apology.

We who are Christ-followers have all been where you are, Lance. We have all sinned and fallen short of the expectations of God. Running to Oprah to record a national apology is futile if your apology is meant to rebuild your lost reputation. True repentance must be accompanied by pure motives. Trying to cleanse yourself in Oprah’s dirty pool of therapy will not bring peace to your soul. It’s like trying to clean our hearts with dirty water taken from our hearts.

Your rush for therapy is a microscopic revelation of what is really wrong with America. We have grown comfortable seeking therapy from humans who are just as fallen as we are. The greatest sin in America today is the idea that we can come to repentance without a Mediator, the belief that repentance has no personal cost or sacrifice and that we can be converted to Christianity without the shedding of blood.

Lance, true forgiveness that will bring closure to your sin of dishonesty and relief and comfort to your soul will come from Christ, not Oprah. Seek him while you still can.

Evolution: Why It’s Wrong And Why It Matters (Part 2)

Evolution SC Evolution: Why its wrong and why it matters (Part 2)

Imagine you were going to a book signing for the 700-page bestselling historical mystery thriller novel you were reading and found that the person signing the books was a 7 year old second grader. You would leave without getting an autograph. Why? You would not believe that a seven year old child, no matter how precocious, could write what you are reading. Because the effect (a 700-page bestselling historical mystery thriller novel) was not commensurate with the cause (a 7 year old child).

This is what evolution is: a series of effects so much greater than the causes that if we were to see them in real life, we would immediately reject them.

We are expected to believe that random mutations over millions of years could and would produce complex living systems that have eyes, brains, hearts, intelligence, and self-awareness. There is nothing in our experience that would suggest that anything like this is possible. In fact, all known laws of science, like entropy and thermodynamics, tell us that things decay or deteriorate when left to themselves. Houses don’t build themselves, and tools left outside for years will rust or become unusable.

But why is all this so important? What difference does it make if you think aliens left organic compounds here, or a God created all this, or if everything just happened all by itself?

The first and obvious reason is that it answers the question: is there a God? Those who say that all this could have and did happen all by itself essentially dismiss the concept of a Supreme Being. They see no reason to believe in anything beyond what they can see, feel, taste, or, in scientific talk, what they can observe and measure.

If life was/is just a chance occurrence of chemical compounds that ends with physical death, then life has no meaning beyond what we choose to give it. And everyone is free to choose what meaning that is, if any. Life ends at death, and there are no prizes or rewards to the winners.

Science can analyze a human being and tell you how much carbon, water, hydrogen, etc. exists in a body; but it cannot tell you if that life has meaning or purpose.

Scientists are often quick to dismiss the idea of God because they deem it unnecessary and unprovable, yet they resort to a faith in natural processes to create things beyond what they with all their intelligence cannot.

If there is a God, I would certainly expect that He would be beyond human comprehension and measurement. Scientists look for proof of something that by definition would be greater than everything that exists. They feel justified in rejecting the concept because they can’t fit Him to their experiments or see Him with their eyes. I submit they need look no further than themselves to see the work of Someone who is vastly more intelligent than all our accumulated knowledge.

Acknowledging that there is a God changes everything. On the other hand, rejecting the idea also changes everything. This is the pivotal concept that shapes our lives.

If life (our lives) is just the result of random chemical interactions, human life just isn’t that important anymore. Nations that have rejected the idea of God were instrumental in killing millions of their own citizens because they didn’t fit into the plans of those who were in power.
The survival of the fittest becomes the law of the land, and everyone has to look out for themselves first.

If there is a God, then life, our life, was intentional. Life is valuable and has meaning and purpose. What meaning and purpose?

This leads to the second reason why the question of evolution is so important. If life is intentional, if we were made and not chance occurrences, then we would expect that there are certain laws to our existence.

Science recognizes natural laws, laws of physics and chemistry, laws that tell us how things work in the physical realm. But are there laws that tell us how life is supposed to work?

You can’t buy so much as a toaster without getting a long booklet from the manufacturer telling us how the thing works, how it is meant to work, what the inherent dangers are, and how to get the most use out of it.

But what about life? Are there rules that we ignore to our detriment? Did our Manufacturer give us an instruction manual to tell us how this is supposed to work? Or do we spend our whole life trying to figure out what is best, only to realize on our death beds how we could have done things better?

This is what a religion is. It purports to tell us what life is all about. You don’t study a religion long, however, before you see how vastly different its conclusions are about a lot of things. Religions are close on some things, but most have mutually exclusive teachings on many important issues.

Does this mean that truth is unattainable (and all religions are essentially equally valid) because we don’t know enough to be able to decide between them? No. It just means that like everything else in life worth having, you might have to put a little effort into searching it out.

One last reason I would like to submit here why the issue of evolution and God is important is that, if God did indeed create the world and life, it is very possible, as more religions teach, that we are in some way accountable to God for our lives. The details vary from religion to religion, but the first place to start is that the idea that what we do with our lives is important in ways we can little imagine should wake us to the pursuit of what things in life really matter.

I know some people will think I have tried to make too much of this issue of evolution and God and that I reach conclusions that don’t have enough ‘proof’ behind them. The fact is life is not like a job where you have orientation and are given the company handbook with all the rules inside.

Our lives are pretty open-ended. We can do pretty much what we want in how we live our lives. We eat what we want when we want, choose a spouse or not, and make all kinds of choices everyday without somebody looking over our shoulder and telling us what to do.

Life is also short, and there is no rehearsal. This is it. We are not going to get the absolute certainty of everything before we have to make choices on how we will live our lives. In this short article, I hope I have clarified some of the questions we need to ask.

‘Obama’s Enemies List’: An Indispensable Book For All Conservatives

Picture this:

Secret agents patrolling the streets with a massive web of neighborhood snitches feeding them information about all those who oppose the Leader.

Intimidation by any means necessary for anyone who opposes anything deemed good for the State.

We’re talking about 1930s Germany, right?

Nope. Try 2009 and 2010 when Barack Obama was ramming socialized medicine—what later became known as ObamaCare—down the throats of Americans.

Team Obama regularly sent out emails to his millions of supporters that made Hitler’s Brown Shirts in 1930s Germany pale in comparison to the number of agents.

As Floyd Brown’s new conservative blockbuster Obama’s Enemies List: How Barack Obama Intimidated America and Stole the Election describes it:

Obama put out a call to the youth of America and told them he needed their help. He needed them to be strong, and loyal, and “turn in” anybody who wasn’t shouting “yes we can” to a “fundamentally changed America.” The president’s team went all in on the initiative. A website was launched. Social media leaders were mobilized. Young people and old were “authorized” to listen in on conversations with family members, friends at coffeehouses, strangers on the subway. And if anything “suspect” was overheard, these newly deputized enforcement officers were to send an email to flag@whitehouse.gov, and rest easy again knowing those high-level functionaries in the White House would take appropriate action.

Obama’s Enemies List is the beginning and end of all books on how evil and corrupt the Obama administration is because it tells the story from the inside, from the point of view of Floyd Brown, who found himself on the end of the stick of Obama’s wrath after daring to challenge his phony message of “Hope and Change.” Obama’s Brown Shirts went after him with a vengeance, even threatening his family:

My bio and personal information soon appeared on a specialized enemies list website the Obama team called “Fight the Smears.” I received even more calls, and the cyber-attacks increased on me and the website. The Wikipedia website that referenced me was overwhelmed with scurrilous lies. My wife, Mary Beth Brown, began getting threatening calls at our home. She began to fear for our children. It didn’t stop until I began to record the messages and post them on the internet for all to hear. The intensity of the hatred toward me and my family was intense and ferocious.

But bestselling author and conservative leader Floyd Brown’s book Obama’s Enemies List is more than simply a narrative of Barack Obama’s attack of a conservative and his family. As founding chairman of the conservative powerhouse group Citizens United and president of the Western Center for Journalism, Floyd Brown skillfully and thoroughly analyzes Obama and his corrupt administration like a psychoanalyst peeling the layers back of a psychopath who wreaks havoc on society.

The book fulfills the mandate of anyone engaged in a war for this country: Know your enemy.

An Open Letter To Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe Arpaio speaking SC An Open Letter to Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Dear Sheriff Arpaio:
In a recent interview with Mike Broomhead on KFYI 550 AM in Phoenix, Arizona, when asked about a possible firearm confiscation law coming from the Obama Administration, you stated: “I may not enforce that federal law.”  Unfortunately, the word “may” puts us in the ambiguous realm of “you may or may not” enforce a federal firearm confiscation law.  That, coupled with your comment that you would be purchasing semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons for your department, gives one additional pause for concern as to how these weapons are going to be used.  Yes, you said they would be used against the “bad guys.” But one has to wonder: who will you consider to be the “bad guys” in an Obama federal gun confiscation scheme?
You said that you have taken an oath numerous times to support and defend the U.S. Constitution.  I believe that you have a true love for the U.S. Constitution and for the God given freedoms that it recognizes and guarantees.  I do believe that the citizens of Maricopa County deserve a more definitive answer as to where you and your office stand regarding a potential federal firearm confiscation order from the Obama Administration.  Without equivocation, will you enforce or ignore a federal firearm confiscation law by the Obama Administration?
I have included an incomplete list of county sheriffs who have, without equivocation, stated that they will abide by their oaths to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic and will support the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights. They will not participate in any federal gun confiscation scheme.  As the Toughest Sheriff in America, I believe that your name and your office should be at the top of the list of sheriffs who will honor their oaths to defend the people’s Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
I would encourage you to clear up this ambiguity at your earliest convenience in an M.C.S.O. Press Release.  The citizens of Maricopa County have a right to know exactly where you stand on this issue.
Respectfully,
Brian Reilly

Limbaugh Unloads On Hillary Clinton’s ‘Bullsh*t’ Testimony

Rush Limbaugh rightfully goes ballistic over Hillary Clinton’s “What difference does it make?” outburst. Contains brief strong language…

Obama Is Sinking America

Obama Feeds America SC Obama is Sinking America

Although it certainly wasn’t Oscar material, I still love the 1989 film “Erik the Viking,” starring, among others, Tim Robbins, Mickey Rooney, Eartha Kitt, and John Cleese. It’s a campy British comedy-fantasy about a band of misfit Vikings on a quest to reach Valhalla.

In one scene, the motley mob finds its way to the island of Hy-Brasil, a happy, peaceful, sunlit land populated by white-robed, free-loving, uber-pacifist morons.

You know, liberals.

Through a series of immaterial events, the island begins to sink into the ocean. As it does, Erik and crew evacuate and re-board the ship while Hy-Brasil’s inhabitants blithely remain, singing out of tune and playing harps, horns, and other instruments badly.

As the crest of the island dips beneath the sea, King Arnulf – a blundering buffoon played by Terry Jones of Monty Python fame – exclaims: “Everyone, stay calm. This is not happening.”

It’d be funny if it weren’t true; but America has become Hy-Brasil, Barack Obama King Arnulf, and liberals of every stripe his white-robed, mind-numbed, sycophantic subjects. Our enemies, both foreign and domestic – some of whom have “The Honorable” before their names – are laughing themselves silly.

Indeed, “progressives” are a caricature of themselves, fully given over to pseudo-utopian, relativist ideals that remain ludicrous – hopelessly unattainable – by any objective standard.

Still, our patchouli-wearing, pervert-pride-prancing, “pay-for-my-abortion”-shrieking friends are anything if not determined. They’ll let neither reality nor the U.S. Constitution stop them. Nothing, it seems – especially not those mealy-mouthed puddin’ pops running the GOP – can keep this ship of fools from sinking a once-great nation.

Problem is, they’re taking us all down with them.

How do you stop skyrocketing debt and deficits that even liberal economists admit, if left unchecked, spell America’s doom? You don’t. You print trillions more and spend it like game tokens at Chuck E. Cheese. The party must go on, or the kiddos get cranky. Sugar Daddy Barack’s got hungry mouths to feed.

How do you stop evil nutjobs pumped full of psychotropic drugs from shooting-up “gun free zones”? Why, by leaving them heavily armed, of course. By unconstitutionally grabbing guns from the very law-abiding citizens positioned to tap two in the body and one in the head whenever these death-culture byproducts start killing.

Liberal logic: “Up is down, down is up; we’ll make it so and we won’t give up!”

In sum, you spend your way out of debt, tax your way to higher employment, fornicate your way disease-free, abort your way to non-violence, and unilaterally disarm your way to national security.

Any questions?

Now, some of you may say “But wait, Obama knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s no buffoon.”

I both agree and disagree. Yes, the “progressive” dogma that courses through his veins – a mind-altering hallucinogen that gives liberals the munchies for power – is, indeed, inherently sinister.

Still, he believes it with every ounce of his nicotine-hardened heart.

By deliberately deconstructing America’s constitutional republic – our free-market form of government – and replacing it with a Euro-socialist, moral relativist amalgam of his liking, this misguided anti-colonialist radical thinks – truly believes – that he’s doing the right thing.

Such are the ways of the well-meaning tyrant.

People sometimes ask me how it is that I manage to stay so optimistic – to maintain deep joy as we watch our nation’s foundations crumbling around us like the walls of Jericho. They wonder how it is that I’m able to pick up and carry on with a smile as America heads careening toward cliff’s edge.

It’s easy. First, I put my full faith and trust in the Sovereign Creator of the universe who is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore: Christ, God incarnate, who is always faithful to those who have faith in Him.

Then, I laugh at them (liberals, that is.) I make fun of their dull-witted, self-defeating, abjectly wicked worldview. I follow God’s example. Of those who align themselves against His laws and His nature, Psalm 2:4 says: “He who sits in the heavens laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.”

How can you not scoff at the silly twaddle they’re hocking?

Ultimately, I’ve read the end of the book. I know what happens. The good guys win. That keeps me smiling no matter what goes down on the culture-war front. It keeps me snickering.

Still, once I stop laughing, I get about the business of trying, with every fiber of my being, to defeat them. Not reason with them, not compromise with them, not suck up to them, and certainly not trust them.

Defeat them.

Oh, I’ll love them. I must. I’m commanded to by the Lord I serve. I’ll pray for them, too. Do it all the time. But I’ll never, ever, under any circumstances, trust them.

You may be surprised to learn that, in various forms, I get dozens – sometimes hundreds – of pieces of hate mail each week. My recent favorite came from a delightful bloke with the email handle synth84@aol.com: “Someday, someone may just choose to use their second amendment right (sic) to put a bullet in your worthless head. You are a disgusting waste of life you uneducated, non-human, uncivilized, evil, parasitic Nazi maggot. Shame on you.”

Right. Shame on me.

How do you reason with, compromise with, suck up to, or trust that?

You don’t. You defeat it.

Abraham Lincoln, a man of deep faith, forecast nearly a century-and-a-half ago our current state of the union: “America will never be destroyed from the outside,” he said. “If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”

President Obama sits atop the highest perch of a nation fast-sinking. “Everyone, stay calm. This is not happening,” he assures us.

But it is happening. We’re destroying ourselves from within. We’re going down, and the only way to stop it is to utterly defeat those responsible.

In the meantime, they sure are fun to laugh at.

Being Political And Black Beyond The Democrat/Republican Dynamic

Republican Democrat SC Being Political And Black Beyond The Democrat/Republican Dynamic

I’ve always advocated for American Blacks to represent themselves on both sides of the aisle in a two-party system- just like other Americans.

I’ve also been a Republican since the (fortunately) failed “high-tech lynching” of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas had me leave being an Independent.

Party affiliation aside, I know neither party places a particularly high priority on what Black citizens like me think.

The same holds true for non-insiders of any color. I’ve long known what it means to be political and Black beyond the Democrat/Republican dynamic.

As an anti-crime activist in Democrat-dominated inner cities, it means watching our chocolate klansman-induced murder rate ignored by politicians whom the victims’ families vote into power without fail- or results.

As a liberty activist, it means being stonewalled on official misconduct complaints by Democrats who feel their prejudice is above reproach because of the “D” behind their names.

It offers an unequaled vantage point where Dem Crow discrimination rampages unchallenged while Black liberals look for cops or White Republicans to conveniently protest.

Black skin is an effective disguise for Americans whose opposition to bigotry is bipartisan. We get to witness astonishing double standards distant White conservatives wouldn’t believe.

The GOP has its cadre of bigots, but at least they know enough to mask bias behind policy and privacy.

Democrat bigots will say things even the most racist Republican wouldn’t be caught dead saying. US Senator Harry Reid’s “Negro dialect” comment about Obama comes to mind.

A White Republican senator saying the same thing would have his resignation letter ready within minutes and even offer to commit hari-kari on the steps of the Heritage Foundation as proof of contrition.

As an American Black, like other independent-minded Americans, I place my individuality above partisanship.

While I think the GOP is better than the Democrat Party, that’s not really saying much. Democrats are a nightmarish collectivist cauldron of socialists, liberal racists, broke-basket cases, and more communist kooks than you can shake a voting machine at.

Any party looks great compared to that montage!

American Blacks who are Democrats or Republicans have an experience neither party can fully grasp, nor are the few Black officeholders on either side able to inject this into policy-making.

Black folks need tax breaks and gun rights support to combat too few marriages and too many thugs in our communities.

I don’t see the Democrats or Republicans floating bills to address either crisis. Black folks need more of our dollars in our pockets to fund fractured families off bipartisan radars set for the middle class only.

Inner-city stakeholders don’t need gun bans disarming them, while small boy units of thugs and larger ones of gangs use them for target practice.

Neither party wants to consider that arming and supporting law abiding Black citizens may be more effective than social (-ist) programs or tourist cops passing through these areas.

Democrats don’t want their Black slaves privately lowering their crime rate because that would put them out of cushy, do-nothing jobs.

Republicans could take this issue and run with it, but who among them is hip enough about Black people to even concede that all of us in the inner-city aren’t criminals?

On lower taxes and pro-gun advocacy for inner-city stakeholders alone, the GOP or some new center-right party could make Black inroads.

Being Black and political beyond the Democrat/Republican dynamic, especially if you’re not liberal, means never subordinating independent effort for indecisive partisanship.

Whether we make the bipartisan system or new parties responsive or not, we still have our hands full privately handling community and national challenges.

While our experience is unique, it still shares much with those of fellow citizens across the board.

In this sense, being political and Black beyond the Democrat/Republican dynamic is simply being American, which is where everyone should be headed!

Obama, Gun Violence, And His Transparent Pursuit Of Guns

Angry Obama SC Obama, Gun Violence, and His Transparent Pursuit of Guns

Last week, Vice President Joe Biden gave a feigned and somber introduction to a news conference where the president pontificated and released his response to “senseless gun violence,” setting the tone for the introduction of twenty-three gun proposal measures, including nineteen executive orders that he believes will be beneficial in reducing gun violence.

I think most Americans wholeheartedly agree that what happened in Aurora, Colorado and Newtown, Connecticut- though statistically random- was tragic nonetheless. The country was stunned as it heard the reports of innocent and defenseless people killed by James Holmes while attempting to enjoy a recreational night at a movie theater in Colorado.  If that wasn’t bad enough, the country was particularly grief-stricken when confronted with the painful aftermath of twenty children, literally the innocent of the innocent, gunned down by Adam Lanza at a school in Connecticut.

Though tragic as these incidents were, the president’s proposals during his showroom news conference will do little to prevent another Aurora or Newtown.

In the Aurora shooting, James Holmes purchased his guns and ammunition legally (which were semi-automatic, non-military rifles).  Furthermore, in committing his terror, Holmes may have specifically chosen the theater he did because it was one that explicitly markets itself as a “gun free zone,” meaning he may have known before he committed his evil acts that he would have little to no defensive opposition, thus allowing him to maximize his damage.

In Newtown, Adam Lanza illegally obtained the guns used in the killings from his mother (who had purchased them legally) after killing her.  In addition to Lanza using stolen guns that weren’t his, he had a history of mental illness that many argue contributed to and motivated his passion to kill his mother along with the teachers and students at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

So at base level, the news conference was nothing more than smoke and mirrors, attempting to look busy while doing nothing. Or as liberals love to have it, receiving credit for their intentions rather than the results of their intentions.

But there are other things more disturbing about the president’s news conference.

First, that Barack Obama would purposely use children as tools for emotional and political manipulation and as shields to avert criticism of his proposed agenda is absolutely cowardly as it is shameful.  If his children are off limits and can’t be used for politics, America’s children should be off limits for the same reasons as well.

Second, the fact that the president, Joe Biden and other politicians who advocate “sweeping gun control laws” continue to use Sandy Hook and Aurora as a pedestal to justify their position is breathtaking and immoral. As mentioned above, the president’s proposals had they been implemented would have done little or nothing to avert those tragedies.  More importantly and equally as telling, the President, Joe Biden, nor Senator Dianne Feinstein (who herself has a conceal and carry permit) haven’t used the crime statistics of Oakland (over 130 murders, a five year high) or the murder rate of the president’s hometown of Chicago (which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country), which tallied 532 murders in addition to 2,670 people shot in 2012 (based on statistics compiled by the website “Crime in Chicago“), as motivation to take serious steps at reducing gun violence.

Though the President did mention “the inner-city streets of Chicago” toward the end of the press conference, he has been noticeably silent regarding the increasing and brazen violence on Chicago’s streets since he’s been president, where law-abiding citizens have been living in fear for some time.

This lack of acknowledgement is telling.  What it says is that in the liberal mind, white lives taken at the hands of criminals using guns in Aurora, Newtown, on the campus of Virginia Tech, and in Oregon have more worth inherently- but more importantly, for gun-grabbing Democrats, politically- than the lives lost in the inner cities of America where large concentrations of minorities live.

It’s the same mentality that drove the circus surrounding the Trayvon Martin murder.  The president- aided and abetted by the media and in conjunction with political hacks and race pimps like Al $harpton and Je$$e Jack$on- racially trivialized the death of Martin and manipulated the emotions of his family and their supporters regarding the circumstances surrounding Martin’s death.  The attention paid to this incident- sad as it was and prior to knowing all the facts- was out of proportion to the amount in which blacks are victims of violent crimes by white suspects.

It was noted at the time that there was a noticeable lack of attention and coverage by the President, the media, and race pimps alike regarding the insanely high murder rate of blacks who are the victims of other blacks.  This led many people (but not enough) to the conclusion that the lives of black victims at the hands of other blacks weren’t as inherently valuable as those black lives taken at the hands of white suspects.  This conclusion was a transparent indicator that politics is what mattered most.

The same is absolutely true here.  Twelve people were killed in Aurora, and twenty-seven people were killed in Newtown.  While tragic, 532 were killed in Chicago. Mass murder, though tragic and shocking, is rare; gang violence is much more frequent and prevalent.  If the President and his sycophants truly cared about reducing gun violence, dangerous environments like that found in Chicago would have taken precedence and motivated him to executive action some time ago.

This charade isn’t about reducing gun violence whatsoever.  It’s about government control and the reduction of the liberty of law-abiding Americans, period.  And in attempting to do so, President Obama has become the most successful gun salesman in American history.

Obama Wants Gun Control Because He Was ‘Abandoned’ As A Kid?

During an appearance on FBN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight on Tuesday evening, Fox News psychiatric analyst Keith Ablow suggested that President Obama’s philosophy of greater government power and more restrictive gun control results from his being “abandoned again and again” as a child.
