A small-town bank in Oklahoma said the Federal Reserve won’t let it keep religious signs and symbols on display.
Federal Reserve examiners come every four years to make sure banks are complying with a long list of regulations. The examiners came to Perkins last week. And the team from Kansas City deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say “Merry Christmas, God With Us.” were inappropriate. The Bible verse of the day on the bank’s Internet site also had to be taken down.
“I don’t think there should be a problem with them displaying whatever religious symbols they want to display,” said Amy Weierman, a Perkins resident.
Specifically, the feds believed, the symbols violated the discouragement clause of Regulation B of the bank regulations. According to the clause, “…the use of words, symbols, models and other forms of communication … express, imply or suggest a discriminatory preference or policy of exclusion.”
The feds interpret that to mean, for example, a Jew or Muslin or atheist may be offended and believe they may be discriminated against at this bank. It is an appearance of discrimination.
But customers Eyewitness News 5 talked to said they aren’t buying it.

It is a private European corporation that prints our money on our printing presses and then charges us interest for printing our money and then loaning it to us.

I hope the bank management starts getting legislators involved and get something common sense done in our country. if I were customer I would advise fed when their rules are enforced we won't deal with their banks. close them down Start a PRIVATE bank.

Any person opening, or having an account at any bank, who feels they are discriminated against because of our nations religious symbols, should find either another bank, or realize they are not smart enough to have an account. The majority of our banking system is operated by Jews, so am I to believe that they feel they are discriminated against? I have not met any Jew, such as myself, who believes such misguided thought. The Muslims might believe this, as they are a very backward culture, and are at war with all other religions. In this case; go back home to your own nation, and remain there. We never wanted you here in the first place. However, for the most part, this about destroying Christianity, not about offending people. Once again, voters must use some real brain power when voting for any candidate, and not the usual trash promoted by the two major corrupt political parties.

The President could have saved this trial by showing his birth certificate and his college files. He is hiding his past and we're supposed to just let it go. I feel very badly for the soldier. Maybe down the road we will find out the truth and the soldier can be reinstated. I pray for him.

If this bank had a county sheriff (the only elected police officer in the county) worth his salt, then the bank president would be able to request that the Sheriff eject these 'autocrats' from the county or put them in jail for molesting his constituents. Next election, the people of this county need to chose a sheriff that will protect the constiuency's choice of local culture.
Of all available people, you're blaming the sheriff? And for not grabbing people who are required by federal law to be there?
Good luck getting FDIC protection, though, if the bank bucks the feds. I suspect the bank would be the first to complain if the sheriff were to cause the them problems with the Fed.
When Israel prayed for a King Samuel was displeased but God told Samuel that he was not being rejected, but God, himself, was rejected from being King. We are still rejecting that rule by God. It is not our Constitution nor our form of government which are based on the commandments of God but these people do no want to be under those restrictions.
Neither can we overcome this rejection any other way than by our acceptance of the rule of God in our own life. Secular government is incidental to this inner governance by faith and conscience. When we are united in our acceptance of God's will we will be united in all other facets and peace will reign. It is our rejection of this governance that thrusts us apart and causes strife and division.
We cannot all be rich for some must wash the dishes but we need the rich so we have dishes to wash. The rich need the dishwasher so he can tend to the things that made him rich and the dishwasher needs the rich for his job and livelihood. We can all have a high level of contentment but not a high level of this world's good. Wages are for living but capital is for growth. It is like a stalk of corn which produce hundreds of kernels, yet each stalk of corn is produced from one kernel. All the rest are surplus that can go into many different forms of support.
Thus, one rich can support many by his riches as he makes jobs for them that provide their living;. This job provision is not welfare and is an entirely different form of distributing the wealth. A form well sanctioned by our Commandments as found in our Bibles. The Fed may want to cut their own throat with a rusty razor but they will also cut off the source of their own wealth. The poor do not become less poor at the expense of another. When you are gainfully employed you are adding to the store of prosperity. When you are a welfare recipient you are a consumer of that store and when enough go on welfare the store of prosperity simply cease s to exist.
The Feds will pay the price for this stupidity!

The last time that I went into a Federal Reserve branch bank they had idols in glass fronted picture frames on the walls. I would supply a picture, but it is a felony to make a reproduction of their idols. (They call it 'money', but it has no real value and is not backed with gold or silver and on the face of it it is identified as a 'note' which is an instrument of indebtedness.) Anyway, as a Christian I am offended that they would display a pagan idol on their walls! LOL
Well if you don’t like the current menu of ‘idols’, just wait until they roll out the new ‘North American Union’ currency, the Amero. The graven images include Edward Mandell House, John P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, among others. They’re the ‘founding fathers of the NWO’.
Well we know who runs the Feds, after all it is Obama and Bernankes piggy bank . It is not surprising. They should have used muslim symbols the sickle etc. Then maybe the Feds would be afraid of offending their bosses.
