FBI Investigate As Bristol Palin Is Sent Mystery Substance In Fan Mail… Which Turns Out To Be Talcum Powder

An FBI investigation was launched when a mystery white powder was found by studio employees in Bristol Palin’s fan mail last night.

Fearing the powder could be hazardous, experts were called in by Dancing With The Stars bosses to analyse it.
But it turned out to be nothing more dangerous than talcum powder.

The alert was sparked days after Bristol shocked many by winning a place in the semi-final of the dancing show.

A representative for the FBI told US website TMZ.com this evening: ‘The L.A.P.D., L.A. City and FBI Hazardous Materials officials responded to a report of a threatening letter containing white powder received at CBS Studios in Los Angeles.’

Police and fire engines rushed to CBS studios where the show is filmed and the area was evacuated, before it was established it was harmless.

An official from Dancing’s production company ABC said: ‘Initial field screening was negative for hazardous substances but will be transported to a regional lab for further testing. A joint investigation is continuing.’

maybe we should scan and pat down the mailman before he delivers the mail; I mean, he could be a terrorist like those nuns and children accousted, er I mean screened by the mongrels in the TSA!

First of all, Joy Behar is not all there. That being said, it is an enormous affront to the left that Palin is still on DWTS because as long as she stays, they can't credibly attack her op more importantly, HER MOTHER. DWTS originates in Hollywood. Did no one ever question why Bristol Palin was extended and invitation from the den of leftist powermongers in the celbrity world known as Hollywood? Did no one see the fact that of all the contestents, she is the only one with no experience whatsoever in the perfoming arts or the world of professional or Olympic sports? Bristol Palin is not as accomplished a dancer as the others but, neither is she a professional as they are. The whole premise was tilted, in my opinion, for a percieved opportunity to futher denigrate the entire Palin family through Bristol if she fell on her face. She has not. It is the voters who determine whether or not she stayed on the show and more of them voted for her than some who were more deservng based on performance but, that was the stricture repeatedfly put to the voters, VOTE as your votes are important. She is, apparently more popular than divas because she isn't one and tries her best.

    • So was DWTS also trying to denigrate journalist billionaire Mark Cuban, former House Speaker Tom DeLay, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and former astronaut Buzz Aldrin?

I doubt it–the producers pick people who will draw an audience, for whatever reason. With Palin, obviously they were right. Here's the producer's take on it, by the way: http://www.slashcontrol.com/free-tv-shows/dancing

His most relevant line, perhaps, just over a minute in: "You need someone who just really shouldn't be there."

    • Since there were no more ratings to be won, I'm sure the network wasn't disappointed that they may have saved some credibility with Bristol's third-place finish tonight.

They wanted to keep her around for the show in hopes that she or her mother
would make some comment that they could spin. She isn't even a celeb., so I don't
know why they invited her on in the first place? The first week they were criticizing the
former Gov. for not being there to support her daughter. The week after, Sarah shows
up, and they had the cameras on her more than Bristol. What other celebs had their
parents there and how much did they focus on any of their parents if they were there
        supporting their kids or not?

    • Barbaracvm says:

What probably galls the liberals – she noticeably improved her dancing skills.

      • Speaking as only one liberal (since we're not all alike), that didn't gall me at all. Bristol obviously worked very hard and clearly improved. Equally obviously, she wasn't as good as some contestants cut before her, though of course this wasn't' about talent as much as about popularity.

What "galls" me is that Americans are more likely to be able to name five "Dancing with the Stars" contestants than they are to be able to name five members of Congress.

Agreed, and everybody thinks that is what real news is ? ! ?
So, James, being that this is obviously a conservatively biased site as much in
the sense if not more than FOX News, why do you read these articles instead of spending
time commenting on every MSN article?
