Despite a carefully narrated version of events rolled out late this week by the CIA claiming agents jumped into action as soon as they were notified of calls for help in Benghazi, security officials on the ground say calls for help went out considerably earlier — and signs of an attack were mounting even before that.
The accounts, from foreign and American security officials in and around Benghazi at the time of the attack, indicate there was in fact a significant lag between when the threat started to show itself and help started to arrive.
According to the CIA, the first calls for assistance came at 9:40 p.m. local time from a senior State Department official at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, to the CIA annex about a mile away.
But according to multiple people on the ground that night, the Blue Mountain Security manager, who was in charge of the local force hired to guard the consulate perimeter, made calls on both two-way radios and cell phones to colleagues in Benghazi warning of problems at least an hour earlier. Those calls allegedly went to local security contractors who say that the CIA annex was also notified much earlier than 9:40 p.m. U.S. military intelligence also told Fox News that armed militia was gathering up to three hours before the attack began.
One source said the Blue Mountain Security chief seemed “distraught” and said “the situation here is very serious, we have a problem.” He also said that even without these phone and radio calls, it was clear to everyone in the security community on the ground in Benghazi much earlier than 9:40 p.m. that fighters were gathering in preparation for an attack.

The TIME had this or similar comment. I think from several reports I have read that in this case, CIA is taking the heat for the POTUS. Generals have been demoted and moved, An Admiral has been demoted and moved related to their actions to provide assistance to the beleguared Ambassador and his security team in Benghazi. We need a very Select team (Selected by the average American Tax Payer not by the POTUS) to seriously investigate this horrific damage resulting in death of innocent Americans on Foreign soil. Then, The truly responsible parties must be punished appropriately, locked up, impeached what ever it takes. Nixon”s actions did not kill anyone but he was impeached for his actions and comparitively what Nixon did and what the current POTUS did are vastly different, VASTLY different. Action must be taken to identify the responsibile party and they be brought to justice. roberth
I agree with everything you say except that Nixon was impeached. Nixon actually resigned and wasn’t impeached. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, was impeached, and refused to resign.

I had completely forgotten that but I do remember the “firestorm” of news media hopping on the Nixon thing and that was about all we heard or read for a considerable time. If only the American news media was as diligent now with the current POTUS, I think it would make a lot of people set up and take notice. roberth
You forgot, Nixon was a Republican and Obozo is a Democrat. It seems Democrats get away with murder far more easier than Republicans. Our lying lamestream media covers, or lies, for Democrats and crucifies any Republican he does wrong. It’s highly unjust but true.
So, who are you gonna believe? The CIA is a mostly covert operation whose mission is to further the political will of the commander in chief. Their tactics are deceit,subterfuge, and lies. Would it be to their benefit to justify inaction with deceit, subterfuge, and lies? Maybe so if their operation in Libya was to recruit for the jihadists (think muslim brotherhood) in Syria. Maybe so if the ambassador was “involved”, or knew too much. Maybe so if it was a good way to eliminate the possibility that knowledge about the operation would get out. Maybe so if the desire was to get the entire middle east under the control of the muslim brotherhood (seems like POTUS has been going down that path for some time now). Strange that both the naval commander and army commander were relieved of duty when it appears that General Ham (army theater commander) was preparing to send help. Was this murder by proxy! I don’t know. but the waffling by the administration over the “not so optimal” incident sure leaves a lot of room for speculation.
Floyd: Try this on for thoughts – - Egytian Anwar Sadat, signed a treaty with Israel then was murdered by “guess who” Hamas or Al Qaida. The current POTUS couldn’t wait until Mubarak was demoted and shipped out of the country to be found dead mysteriously. Now the Ambassador to Libya is DEAD by some fancy footwork coming from the current administration. I know these “dots” are far apart but – - “I see a pattern here”. Thanks for your comments. roberth
If all that ground force was there, why was our ambassador and the other 3 killed? why wasnt the ground littered with the enemy. were the ground forces there to watch? they will tell us anything. they think we are a bunch of stupid idiots. took them a long time to decide that excuse. that could have been told the next day. well, I guess they thought us idjits who believed that crock of climate control would believe anything. Gore should move his 9 million dollar house further back before it gets ocean overlapped.
Molly: Your comments are right on target – - At least one Army General and perhaps 2 have been “relieved of duty” one Rear Admiral has been relieved of duty. All for having the courage to start sending help into Benghazi. I think the CIA thing was “whooped up” by the new commander, General Betrayous and this would get the POTUS off the hook. Lybia was a botch from the beginning. then Oboso trots out a super lie about a video causing all the trouble with more holes in it then a dish strainer. No by keeping repeating a lie does not make it true even if he thinks it does. Now the CIA trots out a timetable with more lies in it. You would think sooner or later the government would wake up to the fact that they can not lie with out getting caught sooner or later. There are to many willing to tell the truth even when the ones in charge can`t or won`t tell the truth.
Viking: You hit the nail on the head, the Administration PERSISTENTLY Lies and it appears that (habit forming) action is dribbling over into other areas of Washington, DC in particular CIA. But what can I say, General Betrayous now firmly has the hands of the CIA under his control and – - we now really see what General Betrayous is made of. More lies!!!
