Fred Grandy, the former “Love Boat” star who served several terms in Congress before landing a gig as a radio host, resigned from his show this week after he was pressured to stop talking so much about radical Islam, his wife, Catherine, told FoxNews.com.
Catherine Mann-Grandy, who spoke with FoxNews.com extensively about the details of their split with WMAL management, confirmed that the couple’s critical commentary on radical Islam was the driving factor behind Grandy’s resignation.
“You’re not allowed to talk about what’s happening in your country,” she said.
Fred Grandy, best known for his role as Gopher in “The Love Boat,” had been on air as a host at Washington, D.C.’s WMAL since 2003. He worked most recently as host of “The Grandy Group” — his wife made regular appearances on that show under the nickname “Mrs. Fred.”
But while both of them started devoting more and more segments to the subject of Muslim influence in America over the past year, it was Catherine’s comments that apparently led to an ultimatum.

I just went to the WMAL website to read their side of the story. There is definitely a disconnect between the radio station's account and Mr. Grandy's. That being said, I believe that political correctness is killing this country. Like it or not, there are radical Islamists who have stated that their goal is to take over America. They have definitely exerted much influence over many European nations. Every time anyone says anything remotely derogatory about Islam, organizations like CAIR apply pressure to shut them up. Does this not raise red flags to you???If we do not take this threat seriously, we may all be forced to be "sharia compliant" one day soon.

America today is so deeply influenced by liberals that the average American has no clue what is politically happening here. Already, the Muslim influence is controlling cities like Dearborn, Michigan and Ontario, Canada. There are Muslim mosques in every major city of America and the collection of funds from their congregations is finding its way to The Muslim Brotherhood. It is the Muslim M.O. to maintain a low profile while their numbers are low and then as their imigration populations grows, they begin to take over. I have said for years that we should not allow Muslims to immigrate to the United States. They do not want to assimilate they want to take over not only this country but the world. We must not allow this to happen. Christian churches can not be built in Muslim countries so Mosques should not be allowed to be built in this country. We can see what is happening in other countries with the growing population of Muslims. To hell with being politically correct. We need a President (man or woman) who has the balls to stand up to not only Muslims but all countries who want to take advantage of our friendship and generosity.
I heard on the radio that the average birth rate for Americans is now less than one child per family. The rate for Muslims and other infiltrators is eight children per family (if the term family means anything anymore). Looks like they plan on taking over by over-breeding us to death. The same situation exists in Europe. We are truly stupid.
