The General Services administration has placed an eighth employee on administrative leave following a scandal involving an $823,000 conference in 2010 at a luxury resort in Las Vegas.
The nation’s landlord for federal buildings, GSA took the action Monday as three congressional committees geared up for hearings beginning next week.
The latest official placed on leave was David Foley, deputy commissioner of the Public Buildings Service. He appears in a video giving an award to an employee who — in the same video — did a rap song bragging about the lavish spending.

I don’t want them “placed on leave” or even resigning. I want them prosecuted for malfeasance or misfeasance of office, in some cases willful destruction of government property, and whatever else can be proven against them — and put in jail. Too bad you can’t prosecute for being arrogant and stupid. A lot more of them would be going to jail if you could.

That only means they will get vacation time with pay. Keep in mind, the new deal is no federal employee can be fired if they are homosexual. Check it out on the web.
Everyone knows what placed on leave means, absolutely nothing. They should all be fired and the GSA disbanded.
I guess it is kind of hard to press for more taxes when stuff like this goes on in every department.
That is exactly why the government needs to be tamed, too big to patrol their own. Give all the power back to the states and local governments. If you were among the l%, would you want to give any more money to the government to waste. In fact, I am sick of hearing about everyone paying their fair share. The govt would have no money at all if it wasn’t for the l%. If they raise their taxes, they all ought to find a neutral country and take all their business and money. And I won’t be far behind them. I know longer see America as the land I love.
These arrogant government employees need to be kept in the spotlight to make certain that they are not just placed on leave until the dust settles and then returned to their jobs quietly.
THIS MAKES ME SICK. FIRE ALL OF THEM WHO SIGNED THE DARN DOTTED LINE THAT APPROVED THIS FRAUD.
