Remember the Left screaming bloody murder when Sarah Palin charged ObamaCare would create death panels? Now the Left, including economist Paul Krugman, make no bones about the existence of death panels. In fact they’re touting how much money they will save by not throwing away money on all those old people wasting away! Are we surprised that Obama would create something that puts such little care for our elderly? His disregard for the unborn should have tipped the American people off, as Obama has a disregard for human life—period.

Just think: In a full 36 seconds the entire secret, Communist plot behind ObamaCare has been revealed right from the mouth of one of those Commie Liberal demons! Seems to me the Conservatives are awfully concerned about that $716 million removed from Medicare Advantage, money saved because the excessive payments to for-profit insurance companies were removed. As for the “death panels”, anyone here ever get caught in the “pre-existing conditions” racket? Or the “insurance cap” racket? What happens in both cases is that some Joe Bob in an office somewhere (many for-profit insurance companies refuse to publish their local addresses because of the number of threats and bomb scares; that should tell you something) decides, like when you’re in the middle of chemotherapy, that you’ve “used up” your insurance or have “pre-existing conditions” that, according to the insurance company, not medical science, disallows you from getting a needed treatment. How good is that? I mean, I’ve never seen more fair treatment from the real-life death panels–ever! Science fiction couldn’t come up with a better ruse than those!
As for Medicare and those who are on the “Mediscare Train”: The only changes to Medicare affect THE INSURANCE COMPANIES INVOLVED IN MEDICARE ADVANTAGE. No old ladies are going to be dying of Altzheimer’s in the streets and sidewalks. No poor old men with no legs are going to be selling apples out of alleyways. Those will only happen if the Conservatives privatize the social welfare programming currently in place. There’s where the real conspiracy lies….
Us seniors don’t want to give up our Medicare Advantage. We pay for it. Medicare doesn’t. It’s security to know that if we have any major expenses they’ll be paid for. Obama referred to it as a cadillac plan.

I would say they would probably feel differently if it was one of their own. But knowing they have no souls, and can honestly get away with the numerous things they have already done to other people, I doubt it would make any difference at all. To “them” everyone is expendable. To me? “They” are! Vote them out of office November 6th, then throw them out on the 7th! They are just a waste of space, in “our” House.

We overheard a doctor telling two of his employees their patient care would be changing…when a treatment was required he would have to petition a federal government board for permission or he wouldn’t get paid…if the patient was too old, the treatment might be denied. He didn’t define “too old”!!! Isn’t that just great….now the government has decided they’re God, after all!!!! Vote Romney/Ryan….they will make sure the socialist healthcare program is repealed and will start over with a sane health program for ALL Americans, including the “old” ones!!!!
My Dr said it would start at age 70. My husband is extremely healthy and is 68 and works 50-60 hours a week. He does it because he wants to. He’s afraid if he quits he will get sick.
Ok, Mr. Krugman, here’s an idea. How about you be the first one to line up for euthanasia to help out with the budget deficit.

I’m 70 with congestive heart failure and many other problems with a failing body and I’ve already had cutbacks made to my medications and treatment all because of cost since the Obama Change began and the doctors tell me it is just beginning. I was having bad chest pain and went to the ER where I was given an aspirin, nitro tab and they ran a quick EKG in the ER. It was determined it wasn’t severe enough for hospitilization so they gave me another pill to help me sleep and sent me home. I am sure I suffered a minor heart attack. I have had one before and know the suffering pains very well. If they had tested my blood for that enzyme of dieing heart tissue I am sure it would have been present. It was cheaper to give me something to make me sleep and see my cardiologist later as an out-patient. When I did see my cardiologist, I had to have another stint put in place. Always in the past, they would hospitalize and immediately do the cath and stint. The gov’t no longer pays for “Observation”. They put the stint in place a few days later and sent me home that evening after dark without a night in the hospital for medicare to pay. Basically, they left it where if the heart attack had been bad enough, I would have died that night in my sleep. At 70, I guess they figure my usefullness is pretty much finished.
Oh, and these new Progressives parading around as Demorats talk about more efficient medical care, that is exactly the terms used by the Nazi’s in Germany when they began euthanizing the elderly and disabled in the 1930′s. “Faceshaker”, you’re right, there won’t be any outward signs of there being anything wrong. No one will be wondering around with alzheimers and no double amputees selling apples, because they will have died in their sleep and it will all just be recorded as “Natural Death”. A cut of 176-mil dollars to the “Medicare Train”, which we all paid into by the way making it a train we bought a seat on, will result in people being sent home from the ER where they might well die suffering, whereas in a hospital they might have received pain relieving medications in their final hours. The law is already written where many of us elderly, me being 70, now live with daily suffering that would have been treated with prescription medications before Obama came to office. “Drugs” are the great Boogie Man used by law enforcement to give themselves the authority to take away American Civil Liberties, to watch our every move, to search virtually anything they please. The IV-amendment protects us against unreasonable searches, arrests and seizures of property, but not a one stood up and said a word as this right eroded away because of the “Drug Epidemic”. Doctors will rarely prescribe a Narcotic because we are told people sell their pain medication. I live in pain and I don’t know of anyone who has ever sold their pain meds. In fact, in most countries around this world pain meds and antibiotics are over the counter medications, or at least it still was when I was a Chief Engineer still sailing on ships up until 2000 when I was forced to retire because my health became Unfit for Sea. All of this is a rouse to make billions for men running a thriving black market in the USA.
Here’s something else that would save this country billions of dollars… stop treating illegals in the E.R. for hangovers. I’ve seen it. Been witness to it. So many E.R. nurses are overwhelmed with “severe headaches and nausea” patients who are not citizens and have no insurance or other ability to pay. They come in feeling like they’re “going to die” when it’s just a severe hangover or near alcohol poisoning. Happens most Saturdays in the less-prominent areas. I was in the E.R. passing a kidney stone on a THURSDAY and saw no less than FIVE illegals being treated for hangovers – three were related and went to the same party. One had fallen off the roof while intoxicated and cracked a rib. But, Obama gives them amnesty to be in this country along with welfare and social security to live in this country and tax dollars pay for the effects of their fool-ass drunken binges. Obama allows live- birth abortions (they leave a newborn to die from starvation or just lack of attention or they murder it straight out of the womb) and we pay for those, too. Obama has given almost $2 billion of our money to the Muslim Brotherhood without Senate or Congress approval. Obama has blocked domestic oil drilling in favor of spending billions on foreign oil dependence to support his Iranian backers. Want to save some money and pay down the deficit? Vote Obama out of office and stop letting politicians like him rape us.

You fall right into their trap by taking the same exact stance on abortion: It’s okay to sacrifice/enslave the lives/happiness of individual women to promote the life of the fetus.
Woman should have the right to get an abortion because it’s her own body and her own life, and the fetus is just part of their body. The elderly should have the right to pay more to keep themselves alive longer because IT’S THEIR LIFE.
Contradictions like this are going to undermine your ability to fight for any kind of liberty.
No, women have a right to keep their knees together and say no. The “rights” end at conception. Then it’s a responsibility. Adoption is a more feasible option is case of rape if the woman can not bear to live with a child who is the product of rape.
The fetus doesn’t gain individual rights until it’s capable of surviving biologically independent of its mother’s body, as its own individual being.
If you can justify enslaving people just because the fetus needs them to survive, then the same logic can be used to justify death panels and the welfare state. Some people are needy, so we can take your money from you and take your treatments from you and let you die so they can get what they need.
The proper justification of rights is that we need the freedom to act on our judgment in order to live. Rights are justified by self-interested morality, and morality only applies to beings that can choose from among alternatives. So fetuses don’t need morality and don’t gain rights until they’re born.
Your attitude is just jealousy that you’re stuck obeying your rules-and-regulations religious altruistic morality and other people are free to enjoy themselves and have sex outside of marriage, etc.
Not that I think people should go around having sex and getting abortions. There’s much more responsible approaches, like using birth control. And reserving something so special for someone who means a lot to you.
Amaroq64, a fetus is dependent upon survival in a woman’s womb. However, it is not just a part of her body. The fetus is a living, growing human being that has a mind, feelings, and a soul. Too bad if it is an inconvenience! The baby could be put up for adoption if she doesn’t want it.
And since when can a panel decide that your time is up? It doesn’t matter age you are. Human life is sacred! An individual should decide when it’s time to forego medical intervention, not a panel hellbent on saving money.
I’m opposed to the death panels. I was saying the same logic you’re using to argue against abortions can be used to argue for death panels. IE, someone else’s need is a claim on your life.
When researching medicare advantage costs there is no clear answer as to whether it is more or less expensive than reg. medicare. Since advantage is a medicare paid for HMO or PPO it includes perscription drugs, eye exams, and other benefits that reg medicare does not provide.
The problem with comparing costs is that no one really knows what straight medicare costs Parts A, B, C, and D are all included in advantage. Trying to come up with what the govt actually pays for all these services seems to be impossible. They claim only 2% overhead but I am sceptical of any figures furnished by the feds. Are they including the very expensive part D drug program in their costs?
It is my private and completely unsubtantiated belief that if they put all medicare on advantage (the multi-million $ drug plan goes away) there would be a net savings. All the govt. would have to do is write a check.
