Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson with President Obama
The drummer of the Jimmy Fallon show, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, chose the song deliberately . He was evidently proud of the action, tweeting a clue of what was to come to his followers before the show came on the air.
As Bachmann, congresswoman and GOP presidential contender, walked across the stage to sit next to Fallon Monday night, house band the Roots played a refrain from the song written by Fishbone.
Though the lyrics refer to a woman as a “slut trash can bitch,” the band sang the “la, la, la” of the refrain.
The band’s drummer sent a tweet prior to the show clueing viewers in on the song choice, writing: “late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title.”
Later, he retweeted a fan’s reaction: “perfect entry song for her.”
In addition, the drummer is a known Obama supporter who has contributed to his campaign. His twitter account, sports a photograph of Thompson with the president.
The show was aired on November 21 and featured the band playing “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” as Michelle Bachmann entered to be interviewed by Jimmy Fallon. Click here to watch the original video.
Update: Last night, Jimmy Fallon tweeted, “Questlove is grounded.” Whether that means the drummer will continue to play on the show into the future is uncertain.
Update 2: Jimmy Fallon has apologized to Bachmann about the show. According to Official Wire:
Fallon tweeted to Bachmann that he was honored that she came onto his show and that “I’m so sorry about the intro mess.” He said he hopes she will come back to his show.

But of course reprehensible behavior by one side doesn't excuse reprehensible behavior by the other side. And unfortunately there's no shortage of ignorant behavior on either side.

Now isn't he (Thompson) special! Why is any one surprised at how low libs will sink? He should be fired, but that will never happen. If a conservative had done that to a liberal canidate, the liberals would be screeming for blood. They can't take insults, but they sure love dishing them out. I wonder what would happen if a White drummer played that tune when Mrs Obama walked on the stage? Don't bother to reply, because we know its different strokes for some.
