Elena Kagan has kept her cards so close to the vest that in the days after President Obama nominated her to the Supreme Court, some on the left worried she was too moderate to replace liberal Justice John Paul Stevens.
But in documents obtained by CBS News, Kagan–while working as a law clerk to the late Justice Thurgood Marshall – made her positions clear on some of the nation’s most contentious social issues.
The documents, buried in Marshall’s papers in the Library of Congress, show Kagan standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the liberal left, at a time when the Rehnquist Supreme Court was moving to the conservative right.
They also provide a remarkably candid picture of her opinions, including on the most controversial issue Supreme Court nominees ever confront: abortion.
Although Kagan’s confirmation has thus far been an all but foregone conclusion, sources say these documents will give Republicans a few cards of their own to mount a strong fight against her.
And they will only heighten demands for more information on her views–including interest in her papers in the Clinton Library. Some of the Clinton Library documents, which cover her time working in that administration, could be released as early as Friday.

Based solely on her heavy involvement in the denial of military recruiters to the Harvard campus is enough for me to know she has NO NO NO NO NO NO business on the Supreme Court!

another no-bama!! no surprise! another example of his less than poor judgement. being educated odoesn't always mean you are smart. washington d.c. is full of these educated idiots running this wonderful country into the ground. there are already plenty socialist, communist and cross breed countries that would love to have( the american thinks he is a president) and his foolish crew. i am sure they all have pass ports and dont believe in immigration laws so what's the problem with no-bama and all his appointees leaving for a land where they would be happier residing? maybe mexico would enjoy their company? lets let our military choose the next supreme court appointee and see how that goes. when i say military, i mean all of the enlisted. their decision would be o.k. with me.as an added bonus—GOOD-BYE POLOSI.
She is just another liberal who hates the USA and for everything it stands for. And why not? Obama hates the United States. Why else is he doing what he is doing.
If Kagan is approved by the US Senate, and her sex orientation is ignored, this Congress is a fraud.
I sure hope Elena Kagan does not get confirmed. She will take away people's guns.
She is probably for amnesty too.

I bet you any amount of money that the clinton library will not turn over all it has on this person. Most of what comes up to show her true colors will have to be found other ways. The dems will hide anything they think will harm her.
