Do You Wish You Voted For Obama Instead Of McCain?

John McCain Official SC1 Do You Wish You Voted For Obama Instead of McCain?

A google search using the term, “McCain voters say they wished they’d voted Obama” shows about 7,450,000 items, but searching through them yields not a single article about voters feeling this way. When most people are asked, “We all know people who voted for Obama and say they wished they had voted for McCain, but where are the people who say they voted for McCain but wish they had voted for Obama?” they start laughing.

By now, we have all heard the public “secular confessions” of the Barack Obama supporters who wish they hadn’t done what they did. These people feel a need to confess their sin so some intelligent voter can pat them on the head and say, “It’s alright, you meant well.” Of course it’s not alright, so the legions of “Obama Vote Regreters” (OVRs)  seems to be growing.

Stories about OVRs like the one recently posted by The Des Moines Register are rare. How stark does the picture have to be to force the media to talk about cracks in their king’s armor? Pretty bad is the answer, and that’s what the situation is in Iowa where just four years ago Barack Obama cruised to a land slide victory.

The Register’s small but telling survey talked to 23 self- identified 2008 Obama voters including Republicans, Democrats, and Independents and found an astounding 18 said they would definitely not vote for Obama in November. What’s worse for Obama is that each of these OVRs had a different reason for turning away from him. One was a “longtime Democrat” who came to understand what a serious mistake she made and felt it was necessary to “confess” her sin.  A small business owner, she said, “I wish to have my vote back. I feel completely responsible, and I feel like I need to tell people this.”

Another OVR saw Obama as a divider rather than a uniter, others were concerned about our national debt, and others worried about unemployment. Their answers varied so much that there is no way Obama can address all or even some of their concerns. These people are dead to Obama. The question is: how many more OVRs are out there across the country? All signs point to there being millions of them.

  1. Senator John McCain was the absolute worst Republican pick to run against Barry. Senator Mccain has proven to be a RINOm his co-authoring the National Defense Authorization Act has clearly shown the American people where his political views are, he is absolutely not a Republican and he is very long in the tooth and he showed do as Senator Jon Kyle has done and resign.

    McCain, refused to attack Barry and said that he want dot run a clean campaign. He also held off campaigning when he went back to Congress to vote on the spending bill, how insane was that? I am glad that Barry won, one way or the other, ballot box stuffing or whatever. He should the world how absolutely unqualified he is for virtually anything. He also showed the American people that he has his own agenda and it does not include anything that is written within the Constitution.

    NcCain would have been a worse nightmare that Barry, if that”s at all possible, because McCain has an insatiable ego, which is why he tries to be in the spotlight whenever he can. Flying here flying there and getting nothing accomplished. If NcCain had a spine, he would demand that Barry present his applications to attend Occidental College and or Harvard. That would close true books on Barry, since they would prove as Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagen fully well knows that Barry attended those institutions as what he was which was as a Foreign Exchange Student.

  2. “[...because McCain has an insatiable ego, [...]” MCCAIN has an insatiable ego???? and øvømit does not???

  3. The other half of the survey is missing in presenting a typical liberal view.

    Where is the survey for;
    Do You Wish You Voted For McCain Instead Of Obama?

    I have met many people who wished that they had not voted for Obama. That does not mean they would have voted for McCain but I have met none who claimed they voted for McCain but wished that they had voted for Obama

    Obama the destroyer of the US
    Obama the only president for whom every failure is a victory.

  4. I wished that McCain would have been a real man of honor, one that was God fearing above all and a true patriot, one that wanted the best for his county instead of one that was so full of himself. The god of this world has blinded those that are greedy, arrogant and deceptive and if he thought he coluld have beaten Clintor or Obama he most certainly is not even worthy to be any office.

  5. those numbers and the story itself is total science fiction -I voted for McCain and knowing now that BORAX is a traitor and is not even a USA citizen-makes me feel good knowing that I did not side with a communist -now what this implies is that some of those that voted for McCain -even after learning OHBUMMER is a foreigner born in mombasa ,Kenya- suppossedly they would want to not be conservative anymore and because McCain did not gyrate his pelvis and do backflips-all of a sudden they like BORAX and regret that patriotic correct bullseye vote-all of a sudden they have a yearning for a VOMIT and sewage salad with escargo and a tall glass of iced urine

  6. I cannot remember the last time I actually voted “for” someone for president. Maybe Buchanan in 2000, but Connecticut was going for Gore-Lieberman anyway so that felt kind of like a “free play” in football after an obvious penalty was committed, take a chance there’s nothing to lose. After the primaries, I always end up voting against a candidate (Obama, Kerry, Gore, Clinton), not actually for the candidate to whom my ballot was cast (McCain, Bush, Dole, Bush). How depressing. This year I will also cast one very enthusiastic ballot against Obama while holding my nose. If we had had 3 1/2 years of Pres. McCain without knowing what Obama would have been like there would be people today wishing they had voted for Obama in ’08.
