What? I thought being a down-in-the-dirt criminal was a prerequisite to running for office these days. The longer the unprosecuted rap sheet the more votes.
It starts at the top in this country and I’m not referring to Barack Obama. I’m talking about an electorate that is willing to ignore a persons criminal bent when voting for them. These are not personal and private issues. When a person presents themselves for consideration to high elected office there are NO private issues.
If a person has a violent and shady past that MUST be considered by the electorate and if it is not then We the People will get what we deserve. A violent and shady elected official.
Character DOES matter. Or at least it should.
