“What’s your take on this story? This happened at a Catholic school.”
David Fiorazo (pictured above)- a great purveyor of truth – asked the question as he shared a newly published news story featured in The Christian Post online.
The article describes how the students at an all-girl Catholic High School in Southern California held a rainbow-laden rally for their gay teacher who was let go after he went public with his recent same sex marriage. The school made a choice consistent with centuries-old tradition grounded in Biblical truth and a Christian-based moral standard.
“While the school does not discriminate against teachers or other school employees based on their private lifestyle choices, public displays of behavior that are directly contrary to church teachings are inconsistent with these values,” school officials stated. “These values are incorporated into the contractual obligations of each of our instructors and other employees.”
The reaction of the rally participants is comparable to that of the low information voter. Truth is we also suffer from low scripture-IQ! But that doesn’t even tell the whole story.
My oldest is going to be 14 in a few weeks; and about two to three years ago, as I was talking to my wife, I reluctantly took a moment to briefly explain to him the growing movement to publicly validate same-sex marriage.
My kids are sheltered (not overly or excessively so), but his eyes almost fell out of his head at the idea of two individuals of the same sex getting married. Not because he is a child-Biblical scholar, but because the concept was so naturally ‘QUEER’ – the label is so very fitting.
“It was never a problem,” said Brittany Littleton, a 2008 graduate who created an online petition at Change.org that has garnered more than 50,000 signatures, the Times reported.
‘We were always taught to support equal rights and that’s what we’re doing today,’ Littleton told a reporter for the Glendora Patch.”
These kids (and even the young adults who participated in the protest) just don’t know what the heck they’re doing – they are influenced by Gaga and Glee and have been told they are being ‘sensitive,’ ‘loving,’ ‘caring,’ etc. in their knee-jerk emotional response. But there is no real thought behind what their doing; it’s merely liberal parroting. It’s childish behavior in the vein of ‘Its Not Fair!!!’ They’ve been brainwashed and indoctrinated; and their parents are either complicit, indifferent, or preoccupied.
This is not reality – it’s staunch rebellion and willful ignorance.
