Plutocrats aimed another weapon at the nation’s poor and at small and midsized farmers, this time thru the 2012 agriculture appropriations bill, H.R. 2112, which the House passed on June 16. The 82-page bill returns some federal spending to 2006 levels and others to 2008 levels.
Now being reviewed by the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, the final version of HR 2112 will lay the terrain on which the 2012 Farm Bill will be crafted. The House Agriculture Committee began preparatory hearings on the 2012 Farm Bill this week, reports NSAC.
Key sections provide deep cuts to domestic food programs, threatening food banks, low-income seniors, women and children, and farmers markets supported by WIC vouchers issued thru the Women, Infants and Children program.
HR 2112 also made deep cuts to rural development, conservation and eco-remediation programs, and to local and regional food system development programs. This can be seen as nothing other than a punitive response to the growing local food sovereignty movement.
Earlier this year, Maine and Vermont enacted home rule ordinances to protect small farms from the overreaching hyper-regulation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FMSA), which became law in January. On June 10, the State of Maine passed a Joint Resolution in support of local food sovereignty.

The Agriculture Department is another unconstitutional bureaucracy that should be abolished. It is controlled by Monsanto, ConAgra and ADM .. with the plan to eliminate the small- to medium-sized farmers and force Americans to eat their Roundup-Ready (neurotoxin), genetically-engineered, GMO grains and veggies and milk and dairy products filled with growth hormones and antibiotics. Then they fill all the packaged foods with chemical preservatives and additives, some of them toxic and poisonous, like aspartame. You who are drinking diet sodas or eating diet products will end up with aspartame poisoning. Lucky us, though, we can wash it all down with tap water laced with potassium fluoride (rat poison) Yuck! Disgusting!

Goldbug; You need to stop read internet gobble de goop. The average life span of humans are going up, the poison you reference is such a miniscule amount that. American are healthier than they have been ever ever ever. The only thing that has shorted life is Stress brought on by hipper exaggeration of a subject. Then they use large flowery word to sound like a expert to a know subject. Gold bug relax take a deep breath, drink some tap water and take up gardening. Now if you were in China right now you should be concerned, they have zero standard for pollution as America had in the 1940's to the mid 1970's. America is the cleanest it has been in 50 year. Google Lake Michigan/Lake Erie pollution in the 1970's Both lakes were so polluted that they started on fire once in a while. They are both clean and beautiful today and the fish population is tasty and clean.
The solution to this problem is to simply cancel The Obama Health Care Plan & we will have plenty of funds for all of these programs so that no one will go hungry.
