Conservatives Mustn’t Let Media Pick The Candidate

Mitt Romney5390 223x300 Conservatives Mustnt Let Media Pick The Candidate

Leaving aside the televised, overly scripted, predictable and marginally useful “debates” now taking place between the Republican candidates for president, there are much more important discussions going on between conservatives and independents who are unified in their belief that for the good of the nation, Barack Obama must be defeated.

Those discussions — taking place across kitchen tables, in lunchrooms, or in neighborhood bars after a week of hard work — are trying to determine which path to follow in the approaching political fork in the road.

One of those paths will most likely lead to the defeat of Mr. Obama. The other could very well ensure his re-election.

It is critical for Republicans, conservatives, and independents to remember that from the 2008 GOP field, John McCain had the stamp of approval from the mainstream media.

In fact, the liberal media worked overtime to resurrect his then all but comatose campaign. Why?

  1. There are only two real conservative believers in the constitution in the bunch.
    Mr. Cain and congressman Paul.

  2. the Media does not want Cain to be the candidate because then people like Morgan freeman and others cannot use the race card to discredit the republicans and tea party when they support him.

  3. I'm disgusted as usual with the general class of voter for conservatives. Gov Perry is just a straight talking individual who has made some mistakes. However when you. You. Look into the mirror. Are you Perfect. That appears to be what you want… If it is, I feel sorry for you. Maybe he's not as polished as you would like him to be, but consider him with some of your favorite politicians. Now how serious do you want to discuiss this problem. Let's get our head out of the sand and pay attention to Gov Perry and look what he can do for our country before we pick another loser as before or let this office be bought for dollars. Think about it and use the good sense God give you for a change.

    • Perry is the loser, the MSM would love it having this illegal lover as the republican candidate against obummer. This would ensure the imposter -in-chief gets re-elected for 4 more long years.

  4. Whenever the Republicans look to the lamestream media to "select" their candidate, it is a route destined for disaster. After all, none of these media hacks endorsing a Rebpulican in the primary would ever vote for that same person in the general election; it's a waste of time even soliciting their phony approval, which just like a Barack Obama promise, is void the moment he starts his next sentence.

As it is, ANY of the candidates for the Republican nomination would be better than Obama. But don't let that fact blind you to the whiners that will be trying to destroy us by "helping" us pick a doomed candidate.

  5. John Hardman says:

Thank goodness for the Internet and the opportunity it provides for the rapid flow of information between rival camps in the political showdown of 2012. At this writing there has been almost a score or so of Wana-bes, Could-bes and No-ways trotted out for the preliminary winnowing; with still more to come.
We all have heard it said "A good man is hard to find" in mortal combat that is particularly true; in politics not-so-much. It also has been said "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their Party"; that's me and you.

  6. My opinion is, the main stream media learned a lesson when the backed Gore against Bush. They discovered the only way to be assured their choice would win was to support a loser in the Republican primary campaign.
They were successful and they will no doubt try this tactic again.

  7. I agree we shouln't allow the MSM to pick & choose who runs for president against Mr. Obama. However, keep in mind that there is some time left before we will even begin to make up our mind who we want to back for president. Whoever that might be, I can only hope that we will all vote as one & not stay home b/c we don't like who is running or vote on principle b/c we feel that someone is better. I feel very strongly aobut this & I feel that in order to remove Mr. Obama from office…we have to vote as one. If we do not, then I can see this country going down b/c Mr. Obama only wants to bring this country to its knees.
