Just days after a writer for the prominent blog Pajamas Media wrote that he “wouldn’t put impeachment off the table,” another highly exposed conservative has called for Barack Obama’s impeachment. Matthew Vadum of the Capital Research Center wrote on his Twitter account Thursday, “So many reasons to impeach Obama, now he gives us a new one: DOMA. Like it or not it is the law of the land.” Vadum linked to an article at The American Spectator written by Ben Stein entitled, “A Major Constitutional Coup Going on Here,” which discusses Barack Obama’s decision not to defend the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). In presidential history, such a dereliction of duty has been exceedingly rare.
Vadum writes for a number of conservative publications, including TAS, and is an acknowledged expert on ACORN.

Vadum is the second nationally known conservative to call for the president’s impeachment via Twitter. Radio talk show host Tammy Bruce called for Obama’s impeachment in four separate tweets, which she posted on her Twitter feed on February 1.
Others have taken a more conventional approach. Arizona legislator Russell Pearce and Constitution Party founder Howard Phillips have said the president’s actions are “impeachable” in public venues.
Vadum is correct that there are many grounds for the president’s impeachment and removal from office under the U.S. Constitution. Tammy Bruce cited the president’s role in bringing the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt, while Pearce and Phillips made reference to the president’s refusal to enforce immigration policy.
Obama’s refusal to defend DOMA continues a string of selective enforcement of the law. The DOMA abdication came two years after offering legal arguments so weak and contradictory they were widely regarded as sabotage. Then-Solicitor General Elena Kagan essentially threw the case, as the administration did its “defense” of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. The damage done, Congress must now decide whether to do the president’s constitutional duty and offer the most robust legal rationale possible.
Or perhaps it will be up to President Joe Biden.

The Republican Congress needs to get some balls and Impeach the SOB. Obama has done nothing but take this country down the path of destruction and needs to be removed from the office he swore to protect.
He side steps the Constitution and decides what federal laws he will or will not enforce.
Under British law, the children of British subjects, (like Obama’s father), were automatically British citizens by “birthright” regardless of where they were born. Under U.S. and British law, when Barry was born, he would have been born a British citizen. That was his “birthright” from his father, which precludes him from being classified “Natural Born” regardless of where he was born.
When the Constitution was written, the term “Natural Born” meant an American citizen whose parents were both American citizens, and that differentiates a “Natural Born” citizen from a “native” born citizen. The intent of our founders in requiring future presidents to be the children of American citizens was to ensure loyalty to America by eliminating foreign influence either through foreign birthright or parental influence.
The Natural Born requirement was designed to keep anti-American tyrants like Obama from ever being elected president, and since that Constitutional requirement was ignored by both Republicans and covered up by Demoncrats, they are both complicit in circumventing the Constitution and perpetrating a hoax on the American people.
Why is it that there are so many AMERICAN CITIZENS who want and are calling for this terrorist threat within the White House to be investigated and removed, yet NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE! Unfortunatly our voices no longer hold any importance.
Let me preface this by affirming that I am a Tea partier, a conservative, A Christian and that I am completely against gay marriage.
That being said, I believe that we are being led down a rabbit trail in regards to the left’s assault on DOMA. DOMA is a good faith effort by lawmakers, but a misguided one. Defense of traditional marriage by statute is Constitutionally only possible by the States and/or local governments. There is NO Constitutional basis for a Federal law concerning marriage. None whatsoever! DOMA is, on the Federal level, unconstitutional. When it is brought before the Supreme Court of the United States, it will fall on that very basis.
That is a GOOD thing. It will prevent the gay lobby from doing any more damage on the Federal level.
The question of defining marriage rightfully belongs with the States. Yes, it will result in a hodgepodge of definitions of marriage across the US. Yes there will be much confusion. But that is the place it must be addressed.

No State can be forced to recognize another State’s laws regarding marriage. It will end up as 50 individual dogfights. That is not a bad thing either. The State level is the most effective arena for us to fight this fight, due to our closer proximity and control over our State legislators.
Reread the Constitution and then go ahead and try to make this Administration defend this federal law as it’s required to, but don’t invest emotion and energy to the point that you are devastated when it’s declared unconstitutional. Save that for the State and local fights, we will need it there.
All I want to know is what is taking so long for the IMPEACHMENT proceedings to begin? I have signed up petition after peition in my effort to help save my country…I DID NOT vote for the imposter. What more needs to be done? We can't wait til 2012. Our country is on the verge of being lost to horrible people like GEORGE SOROS and his many hands of far left activists. I ask again–what more needs be done to get the proceedings moving?
Why impeach him? He's a Kenyan. Just remove him from office and all his rotten bills with him.

Because all Christians that I know are fully aware it is a sin to say that marriage is between a man, and a man, or a women, and a women. MARRIAGE IF BETWEEN A MAN, AND A WOMEN PERIOD!!!! Anything else is a total "LIE", and I will dare this man, the so-called President of this nation. What a crock of elephant dung he has turned out to be. God has some more judgments to fall onto this "ONCE GREAT NATION". In announcing that his offices will no longer do the job that they are paid to do, and thus, no longer abide by his Oath of Office, Obama MUST be removed from office. This act creates a precedent that CAN NOT be allowed to stand. It quite literally does away with the rule of law.
How many crimes against the Constitution will it take before this usurper is impeached? Does no one in Congress have any concern that the very future of our nation is at stake? Perhaps it is time for We the People to stand up and force action. Short of that, what hope do we have?
Committees of Safety are how the people dealt with abuses of power by the British monarchy prior to and during the American Revolution. I believe it is time to revive them as we have more problems with which we must deal than just BHO and his band of thugs.
