Trayvon Martin, the teen shot and killed in 2012 during a fight with a neighborhood watch member, is being honored posthumously by Providence College.
Ignoring the absolute dearth of evidence indicating his alleged killer – also a minority – was motivated in any way by race, the college announced the creation of the Trayvon Martin Award for Social Justice.
According to the school, one student and one staff member will receive the award for a perceived dedication to fighting racism.
Zimmerman has always maintained he acted in self-defense, and this award was created before the facts of the case had been presented at trial.
None of that mattered to Dr. Julia Jordan-Zachery, who spearheaded the award project.
She has often referenced the Trayvon Martin case on social media and in weblog postings and said in a recent interview she has no doubt racism was behind the murder.
According to Jordan-Zachery, “some people are not consciously aware of what they’re doing, but they’re responding to narratives around race,” adding that “while I can’t speak explicitly for Zimmerman, I would guess that this was racially motivated.”
This woman has the uncanny ability – one found exclusively among leftists – to find racism where there is no indication of its existence.
Such race-centered illogical ideology is responsible for stoking the hostility it ostensibly seeks to combat. Automatically assuming minorities are victims of white oppression and hate serves only to make the vast majority of decent, moral Caucasians skeptical of these race-baiters’ true intentions.

Doing such a thing as this college only proves that the colleges and universities in this country are now run and dominated by Marxists. They have the power to mold and espouse events in any way that benefits their cause. They don’t care for the truth or morality, but only in achieving their Marxist oriented agenda and goals. You have people in positions in the educational system that claims authority due to their education which has actually been accredited to them by their fellow Marxists over time until they have come to dominate the system. Because of this society has absolutely no power in controlling the educational system in hopes of it being fair and just to all of society. I recognized this long ago and quit acknowledging the credentials of those who professed degrees in the Liberal Arts fields. This would include Theology, History, Philosophy, Political Sciences, Sociology, Language, Journalism and the many related fields. Until people understands that the Liberal Arts courses in this country have been completely and thoroughly corrupted and the people claiming these degrees have been indoctrinated in; Marxism, materialism, atheism and humanism among many other fields, and until people quits acknowledging the professed education and authority by these so called educated, then your problems will only intensify. Providence College committed its’ actions because of a larger agenda and plan by many people. It has nothing to do with what you understand as being racist, morally right or wrong or anything else. Because of this this college will never acknowledge you or anyone who speaks out against their actions. They will simply carry on as usual and more organizations will follow.

I see they’re using his photo of when he was 14 years old for the award. Guess they didn’t think his TRUE picture of what he looked like when he was killed would go over too big. They should have used one of the ones he had on his FB, Twitter, and My Space pages with him shooting the world a bird and his pants almost down to his crotch with his underwear hanging out. Also, a good motto for the award would be his famous words on these sites: “I’m a wanna be gansta!”
Whoops…”I’m a wanna be gangsta!” is what I meant.
Jesus had something to say about those who destroy the innocence of “these little ones” – (for their own salvation) – “better they be thrown into the depths of the sea with a millstone around their necks.”
As a precursor to such an event, may I propose “The Millstone Award” as a reminder that as Dr. Carson says, “We all must have skin in the game…” and it ain’t just taxes.

People debate over what constitutes commonsense.
As I was saying earlier, commonsense comes from moral fortitude. Moral fortitude comes from morality. Morality comes from Nature, Nature’s Law, or the best answer is from God Himself. When a person rejects God he is rejecting the morals God gave man to live by. A person can still have some morals if they acknowledge Natural Law or the Law’s of Nature, but as Natural Law is rejected, so too is ALL forms of morality, and with this goes moral fortitude and commonsense. Humanists/atheists replaces this morality with man-made morals of simply man-made codified law, voted on as man’s deems fit, and ALWAYS with PREJUDICE!

American Universities and Colleges seem to be in a race to see who can come up with the most embarrassing policies. We must be the laughing stock of the entire world. No wonder we are so far behind every other civilized nation in academics. Good grief we have to shut these pathetic pits of stupidity down before we devolve into Neanderthals..
A Blue State college…what do you expect? Trayvon Martin is NO victim. He was the perpetrator! The truth will come out in the trial. But can Zimmerman get a fair trial in the USA? I think not. He will be the scapegoat for Obama and the rest of the racist Blacks in the USA.
The article mentions the name of the Dr., Dr. Julia Jordan-Zacher, but it doesn’t mention the name of the college. I suppose I should research the doctor’s name and find out which college she works at. I am willing to bet the college has armed security. What should their armed security do when they find their self’s having their head bashed against a sidewalk? Should they plead for mercy or shoot the attacker?
Trayvon may have had racial hate intention when he attacked Zimmermon because of Zimmermon’s race. It is just as plausible.
