(CNSNews.com) – Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton touted her record of standing up for lesbians, gays, bisexual and transgender people as a key priority of the Obama administration foreign policy.
“Memories are short, and we can’t afford to rest on the laurels of the past,” Clinton said Thursday at a speech sponsored by the Foreign Policy Group. “So it’s our job to reintroduce a post-Iraq generation of young people around the world to principled American leadership.”
Clinton made her remarks during a keynote speech at an event co-hosted by Foreign Policy Magazine and the State Department.
