Over the past 50 years, Jesus Christ, God and the Bible have been banned from public schools, government buildings and even street corners. Now any mention of Christ in many town council meetings has become a taboo.
The latest victim to be raped of their First Amendment rights of free speech and religion is Longview, Washington. Located along the Washington-Oregon border, Longview is only about 30 miles west of Mount St. Helens, site of the spectacular volcanic eruption in 1980.
Now, Longview may be on the verge of its own eruption. Mayor Don Jensen told the Kelso-Longview Ministerial Association that they are no longer allowed to mention Jesus Christ in their prayers at council meetings. They can mention God in a nonsectarian way, but not Jesus.
And the reason behind the order?
According to Jensen, it’s because they fear a possible lawsuit down the road if someone invokes the name of Jesus:
“It’s not my choice to stop this, but I don’t know how we can put our citizens at jeopardy and cost our city and our citizens a lot of money.”

Wonder who the people will cry out to when St. Helen’s erupts again?
The city of Longview rejects Christ or the mention of His name — Well, Jesus Christ will reject the city of Longview before His Father on Judgement Day. “Hellfire is eternal.”

Just throw out the lawsuits! The first amendment still grants this be done. Of course if you only have wimpy judges in Washington, oh what the hell; throw them out!
This will be another town or state that wouldn’t be protected by our Lord and Savior JESUS. Next they will have evil done to them and say “WHERE WAS GOD” You take our Lord out of the schools, you can not blame him. Believe or not Saint will lurk in the shadows where God is taken away. We need to pray for the people of this state and towns.
Well now. Let us reflect for a moment on the character of this situation. For one, We speak English yet we have to declare in a courtroom that English is our primary language. We go to church, yet we take God out of our schools, boardrooms, courts and public buildings. WE PLEDGE Allegiance to our Flag of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and not to another nations flag. Well here you go America, it is time to stand and take our country back.
We speak ENGLISH learn it, love it or leave! God is part, if not most, of our founding principles, don’t like it then go where they believe like you do. Stay out of our country, schools, courts and homes. You don’t want us shoving God down your throat, don’t shove your beliefs down ours. It is our FLAG not yours. If you do not wish to Pledge to our flag then go home where you can do the same for yours.
If our nation is so great that you have to illegally come here is escape the tyranny and hatred of your country then you owe it to us to embrace our God, country, its language, its constitution and our flag. If not then again go home we were just fine without you. Many have come here of the decades and have found a home and place among us and have prospered, flourished and enjoyed our country without changing a thing.
IT IS TIME TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK.

I agree with DBrown. We have stood around a let all the foreigners come here and take over. I am not a political correct person. I believe political correctiveness has broken the very moral fiber that has held this country together. It offends me that I can openly speak or praise my awesome GOD in public. This once great nation was founded through GOD, and therefor belongs to God. GOD has not turned his back on us, but we have turned our back on him. We need to get back to the GOD fearing nation we was 50 years ago. Look at all the wars and things God brought us through over our history. I will say this in closing muslin is not a religion but an evil cult and should not be protected by our laws. God Bless!!
Throughout the years Christians have been persecuted for believing in God. America was founded by people fleeing not only the tyranny of their countries, but to find a place where they could practice their religion without persecution. The first Amendment to the Constitution does not say that we should keep our religion out of the Govt. It tells the Govt. that IT can not Force US to practice a religion that they deem proper. In other words the Govt. can not force us to be Catholics or Christians or Muslims…etc. etc. the Govt. MUST respect ALL religions! Yes…the founding fathers were Christians and believed in God, and yes our constitution and laws are based on Christianity, but the Govt. must By The Constitution respect ALL religions. So to me that is why they have taken God out of our Govt. If they didn’t then we would ahve to respect Buddhas and Star if Davids in our Govt. buildings. Since there are so many religions our Govt. buildings would be FULL of icons of the different religions. But…with that said….IF the leaders upon having a meeting should decide to have prayer to start their meetings…then it would be up to the group as to what religion the prayer would be prayed. I believe in God, and I believe God should be a part of our Govt. It pains me to see it taken out of our schools…but in reality our constitution respects ALL religions, not just Christianity. Though we do not have to believe in what other religions believe in…as a nation we must still RESPECT Everyone’s right to their own beliefs. I realize that according to OUR beliefs God is the ONLY God and we should not worship any other gods. But…That is only OUR belief…other religions have their beliefs. We can try and bring Other people into our beliefs, but by demanding and belittling other religions we will not succeed! God said Love One Another! I think that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!
Just wondering, is anyone required to swear upon the Bible at anytime during the sessions of the council? If the Mayor of the Town were to have any knowledge at all of the law, I would think he would know that a simple posting of a warning to all that enter the chamber to warned that the Lord and or Jesus Christ are referred to inside of the chamber and they should refrain from entering if they may be insulted by their reference. I think the Mayor may be an undercover atheist or a Muslim. It is my belief that once all referencing of the Lord and or Jesus Christ have been successfully rebuffed in the United States then it will be Sariah Law for everyone.
