The debate over President Obama’s birth certificate is gaining some renewed interest. First Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie announced that he will try to publicly release the document, and now MSNBC host Chris Matthews is wondering aloud why we can’t just kill this “crappy story.”
Matthews is interested whether Abercrombie will actually be able to find it, but is still puzzled why Obama hasn’t tried to clear up the confusion earlier, telling his guests:
I don’t understand why the Governor doesn’t just say ’snap it up . . . send me a copy right now.’ And why doesn’t the President just say ’send me a copy right now.’ Why doesn’t Gibbs and Axelrod say ‘let’s just get this crappy story dead.’
Liberal columnist Clarence Page says the President is right for ignoring this “crap” and that there is little to benefit from attempting to legitimize the craziness of the birthers. Page even humorously suggests the likely outcome that would result if a document alleged to be the birth certificate is eventually produced, claiming “birthers are still not going to believe it, they’re going to say ‘well that Governor is part of the conspiracy too, because he’s a Democrat.’”

Turns out that the Wall Street Journal predicted this situation about a year ago.
It said: "The release of the obsolete birth certificate would not “resolve the issue” to those for whom it is not already resolved. They claim without basis that today’s birth certificate is a fake; there is nothing to stop them from claiming without basis that yesterday’s is as well."
It is very simple why he continues to hide his birth certificate, if you would take time to read the constitution and the Laws of Nation, you will see that the rules to be President, than rules to be a Senator. It states that he must be of age 35, be Born in the USA with TWO parents who are citizens of the USA. He himself states that his father was Kenyan, therefore that makes him ineligible.Those of you that condemn people as birthers should read and learn that with a Kenyan Father, and an American mother would not make him a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN and that is one of the qualifications to become president. IF a person were born in Kenya, she or he would need a US travel document to get to the USA. That would be either a US visa on a foreign passport or the change to his mother's US passport to include him. One or the other would have had to have been applied for at a US Consulate in Kenya and granted before the child would be allowed to enter the USA.
If such a document existed, it would be easy to find because the records of the application for the visa or for the change to the mother's passport would still be in the files of the US State Department, filed under applications for visas and applications for changes to passports in Kenya in 1961. The Republicans were in charge of the US State Department until January 2009. No such document has been found. No such document exists.
Obama was not born in Kenya. He was born in Hawaii, as his official birth certificate from Hawaii shows, and the facts on it were repeatedly confirmed by the officials in Hawaii.
Like they can't counterfeit a birth certificate?? Of course this time they might not be so sloppy with things like the race of his father. I'd almost bet they would know to say "Black" and the attending physician's name ; well they might have a bit of a problem with that, especially if they do not know.

They'd have to fake a whole binder of birth records to fit Obama's fake certificate into logical order. The real certificates are in order of binder number and serial number. I've got one from Hawaii. I don't believe that the left-wing Governor will ever produce an actual Hawaii Birth Record. Only problem is, is that the particular certificate shown to the public as Obama's birth certificate was a form designed and first used in 2001. What year was Obama born?
1961, I believe. What other reason could there be for not producing an original birth certificate than he was merely not legally born in these United States? I have the original birth certificate from the hospital in Corpus Christi from the day I was born which has my footprints on it as well as the one from Austin which is considered the 'legal' certificate. They both have my parents' names but the attending physician, Philippe Rosenheim's signature is only on the one from the Medical Professional Hospital. The first one has my parents' birth places and dates of birth on it where the 'official' one only has their names.
Obama was born in 1961, but Hawaii has not sent out the original birth certificate since 2001 even to people who were born before the short-form certification of live birth became the official birth certificate. Hawaii sent Obama the short form certification of live birth in 2007 when Obama asked for a copy of his birth certificate because that is what it sends out to everyone.
The Certification of Live Birth is the official birth certificate of Hawaii, used every year by thousands of people to prove that they were born in the USA.

Of course, rational people have noticed that on Obama's "birth certificate" his father's race is listed as African. A black man in the 60's was referred to as Negro! African is not a race! Some politically correct forger screwed up big time on that one!
The officials in Hawaii (Republican officials) have repeatedly explained that in Hawaii people have the right to describe their race any way that they want. Obamas' father, who was from Africa, must have said "African." The same words must appear both on the original document and on the published certification because the clerk took the words on the certification from the original document in the files.

Failure of public officials to confirm Obama’s status at birth by subpoena of all of Hawai’i’s vital records of him, including his original birth certificate showing actual birth parents, is a grave dereliction of duty.
It is equally reprehensible to refrain from the much larger and more difficult task of investigating and analyzing the facts and law regarding Barry's current citizenship. The term “natural born citizen” subsumes “citizen”. You can’t be a natural born citizen if you’re not a citizen at all, even if you were a natural born citizen at the time of your birth. So if Obama lost U.S. citizenship, which is very likely, he can not be a natural born citizen eligible to the Office of President under Art. II Sec. 1 of the U.S. Constitution.
Obama did not lose his US citizenship, which can only be done in writing, and if it were done, we would know about it since the writing would have been found.
I am told that the attorney general of Hawaii until early this month was a CONSERVATIVE Republican. Yet he did not subpoena the original. He found no reason to do so, either because there was anything wrong with the short-form Certification or because he believed that the officials in Hawaii or the governor of Hawaii were lying.
Four officials including the original clerk who filled in the form would have to be lying for Obama to have been born anywhere else than in the USA.

Barry's withholding of the vital records is a false representation that he was born abroad the son of an alien. This might also be an attempt to get ahead of the states that are in the process of passing a bill requiring presidential and vice-presidential candidates to present official documents- which includes a birth certificate- showing they are natural born citizens of the U.S. Also, there are ten members of the U.S. House of Representatives who are supporting a similar bill in that chamber. Obama has already posted the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and in this he was the ONLY US president to have publicly shown his birth certificate. As for birther demands that he show his kindergarden records, college records, parents' marriage license, etc–there is no law that says that he, or any president, has to. If in the next election the Republican shows her or his records, then Obama probably would do the same thing. But both of them have the right to decide what they will disclose.

If I can provide the name of my mother's Physician who did indeed deliver me and my sons can provide the name of the name of the Dr who delivered them, I'd think BHO could do as much! Surely there is someone who was there when this occurred who is still around today who can verify or deny one way or the other.
It has been 49 years. A doctor of 40 would be 89 now. Of 30, would be 79. Nurses deliver tens of thousands of babies every year, and so they are unlikely to remember delivering Obama. This witness confirms the statements of the officials, in particular that of the former governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, who said that Obama was born in Kapiolani Hospital.
So why does the Kapiolani Hospital not admit it? If no more than merely to say he was born there?
But since his mother was not of legal age and his father was definitely not an American citizen, he would still be ineligible to even run for the presidency of this nation.
Does Kapiolani still have birth records that go back to 1961? If those records were scrapped, as many hospitals do scrap real old files, Kapiolani cannot verify. The records are in the files of the Hawaii department of health, where they are supposed to be.
Neither the age of the mother nor the citizenship of the father has any effect on the Natural Born Citizen status of a US citizen who was born in the USA.

Another thing: I heard my mother tell storeies of Dr Rosenheim and what a dedicated Dr he was. He lived until I was well into my twenties and his daughter is also a practicing physician.. I remember calling a number listed for him in Corpus Christi and speaking to his widow who told me he had passed away but she thought he would have loved to have spoken to me as he had many of the babies he had delivered. My boys were told of the Dr who delivered them and although he too has passed away. These are things mothers relate to their children.
Obama's not going to request a copy because he'd rather see people fuss over it. If he did request a copy, it would put an end to the discussion, and he doesn't want that. He would rather have people speculating because that means they aren't paying attention to the other things he' doing

Obama's first executive order actually makes it harder for presidents and former presidents to seal their presidential records. You have to compare it with the similar executive order under Bush to see the difference.
AND, it applies only to the federal presidential records of presidents and former presidents. It does not apply, and in fact it cannot apply, to state records and college records. These records were and remain private, and always were, and have not and cannot be affected by a presidential executive order.
The "millions spent" is a birther myth. There was never a lawsuit against Obama just for his birth certificate. NEVER. The "millions" refers to the time spent by lawyers doing the normal things that lawyers do, like checking on whether the contracts for election offices were in order.
