Listening to this was more heart-pounding than watching some of the stuff on television or the big screen; thank the Lord she had a weapon and was able to use it to defend herself and children. Be mindful of how long it took for Law Enforcement to arrive!
The sad part is they force our hand and then ty and see it
as our fault. They just can not grasp the idea they are wrong
and we are right.
Yea, go girl. Another Annie Oakley in the making. This makes me want to play my favorite song.

This operator doesn’t sound like he even cares. Disgusting
Lani, I know several dispatchers personally and they are normal people – just like you and I. They have to remain calm during these situations even though they might come across as “not caring.” The person calling 9-1-1 is going to be frantic and fearful so the dispatcher needs to have a calming, reassuring voice to try and get them settled down in order to explain clearly what the problem is.
I agree. I was a dispatcher for 10 years and if we got even a little excited during a call, we got in trouble. It is the dispatchers job to remain calm, thereby being able to gain as much information as possible and keep control of the call. The caller is most likely already on the verge of losing it, if not out of control already. The dispatcher cannot help the situation if they lose control of the caller and the call. The dispatcher on this shooting call did an excellent job keeping control of the caller and the situation.
They want us un-armed and helpless!!! NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!
