Aside from the friendly service and menu choices that have earned it a loyal fan base, many Americans support Chick-fil-A for its dedication to community service. Earlier this year, for example, employees at one Alabama location took to the streets to serve motorists stranded in a snowstorm with free food and drinks.
As one of those selfless staff members explained at the time, she was “just trying to follow the model we’ve all worked under for so long,” which is “taking care of people and loving people before you’ve worried about money or profit.”

According to reports from Griffin, Ga., a Chick-fil-A in that town reached out with a touching gesture toward a slain police officer. Kevin Jordan, who was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a suspect at another area restaurant, was recently laid to rest following a funeral procession that went past one Chick-fil-A Dwarf House.
Management affixed a sign to its drive-thru lane informing guests that their order would be delayed as the local hero passed by for his final ride. The notice read:
Suspended Service Notice:
Chick-fil-A of Griffen Dwarf House will suspend all transactions as the funeral processional for Officer Kevin Jordan passes our location Monday afternoon, June 9th.
Thanks for helping us pay respect to our fallen officer.
A number of supporters expressed their gratitude on Facebook.
