A group of more than 150 Cherokees—enrolled Cherokees and descendants from the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes; the Cherokee Nation, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians—demanded today that Elizabeth Warren tell the truth about her “Cherokee” ancestry and identity.
The newly established group has not yet established a specific organizational structure, but it already has a website and Facebook page, each proclaiming loudly the group’s name, “Cherokees Demand Truth from Elizabeth Warren,” with a pointed message to Ms. Warren included in the logo:
You claim to be Cherokee.
You forget, it isn’t who you claim, but instead, who claims you.
We don’t claim you!
Twila Barnes and David Cornsilk are spokespeople for the group.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Ms. Barnes had a direct message for Elizabeth Warren:
I would like to meet with Ms. Warren, in person, and explain why her false claim of Cherokee ancestry is an issue. She can ignore the questions of a reporter, but can she ignore the questions of a real Cherokee?
Though our ancestors suffered, they also overcame and thrived, but they paid a very high price for us to be able to claim our heritage. That heritage belongs to us, and no one else. For Ms. Warren to have claimed that heritage and used it for her own selfish purposes is disrespectful and disgusting.

I totally agree with Ms. Barnes! I had a great great great grandmother that was a Cherokee Indian herb woman. However, I have no way of proving it, & would in no way try to get special treatment, or money from a group that I couldn’t prove I legally have a claim. I always just tell people I have French, Indian, English, & Irish blood in my family background. It seems these days that people will stoop to any level to gain an advantage over others. I also read that she was listed with some place, as a ‘person of color’. I sure hope the people in her state don’t elect her to office in Nov! Actually, after these lies of hers have become publicized, I’m surprised that the Democratic party hasn’t asked her to withdraw, & put someone else in her place. But then, again, most liberals are fine with lying, especially if it gives you an advantage over conservatives.
It’s great to see a liberal’s lies backfire on her!!!! Shows the level of her character…wouldn’t want another of her caliber in the Senate!!! I hope the MA voters are watching!!!
I suggest that Elizabeth Warren asks Obama for assistance.
He is expert in hiding his past and heritage.
There appears to be more interest in Warren’s ancestry (which does not matter at all for the position she is running for) than in Obama’s ancestry which is essential for the position he is in.
Amazing how fair the media is in “vetting” candidates.
Phony liberals like Elizabeth Warren always try to portray themselves as being in the little guy’s, the minority’s, the working man’s or the oppressed’s corner. The Democrat party has used and brainwashed most of the black race for their own self aggrandizement ever since FDR and LBJ, even while black unemployment has skyrocketed under Obama, but few have awakened yet. To dehumanize and minimize an entire tribe by falsely glomming onto it is a true insult to the Cherokees’ pride and heritage and a testament to the lowlife character of Ms. Warren.
