A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii’s governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama’s original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.
Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama’s birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.

Evans, who says he has been a close friend of Abercrombie since the 1980s, appeared on Minnesota’s KQRS radio last week and said he’d been told by the governor himself that Obama’s birth certificate was nowhere to be found. Evans told KQRS on Jan. 20:
“Yesterday, talking to Neil’s office, Neil says that he searched everywhere using his powers as governor ….. there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii. Absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii.”
But that’s no longer Evans’ story.
“Only this I can you tell you is 100 percent fact: that Neil never told me there was no birth certificate,” Evans told Fox News. “I never talked to him.”
Last week’s radio interview was part of Evans’ syndicated five-minute feature, “On the Road with Mike Evans,” which is broadcast on 34 stations across the country each morning.
On the morning of Jan. 20, Evans says he accidentally told one of those radio stations — KQRS — that he’d spoken directly with Gov. Abercrombie about the Obama birth certificate.

If you requested a copy after 2001 you receive a short form only.
Unless you request the hospital copy for your personal disposition. All you have to do is ask and pay the extra fee. Oh, yeah, you have to be born there too!
If Obama told the Hawaiian Health Department to send him a certified long form certificate, he would get it! Hawaii and other states use short forms or birth record cards for convenience, but they have all the long forms on record. Obama's long form record would look like the Nordyke records, that was the standard form when the Nordyke twins were born.

There is now an affidavit from a Hawaiian state official stating that there never was a long form birth certificate on file. It does appear that Evans' was pressured to change his statement.

Not quite. As you'd expect (and as most of us would hope), most judges, both conservative and liberal, are lawyers. But most politicians aren't–though over half of the Senate and more than a third of the members of Congress as a whole are. And of course lots of those Congressional lawyers are far from liberal, unless you count the likes of Jeff Sessions, Jon Kyle, Sam Brownback, Mike Crapo, David Vitter, Lindsey Graham, Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Orrin Hatch as liberals.
The point is that they protect each other as if their was some code of ethics with lawyers. Congress is full of liberal lawyers and other than some Tea Party members, Libertarians and a few doctors. Most on both sides have been involved with the law. That's how they become lobbyist, they have political friends. Judicial law is under the laws of physics but a lot of judicial lawyers don't recognize that and think they can rule against physics. The motivation for him to now lie would possibly be what prsmith has suggested, or at least

I listened carefully to both the original Mike Evans comments and then the "retraction". In the original comments he was self assured and you could tell he believed what he was saying. In the "retraction" he sounded scared, unsure of himself, and possibly even that he was either a little drunk or a little "high". Based on what I heard, it seems he was under intense pressure to make the "retraction". But the other weird thing, is that the only part he actually "retracted", was that he had spoken to Abercrombie recently. Instead, he said he had spoken to Abercrombie's office recently. When you get right down to it, that doesn't change the story about there being no B.C. a bit. But to hear Obama's defenders shout about it, you would think it "proves" that there IS a B.C showing that he was born in Hawaii. Sorry, it just ain't so.

I saw today that Arizona is trying to make it a state law that anyone running for the president of the United States, must show a legal authentic genuine birth certificate that they were born in the United States and are legally qualified to be a candidate. Would be effective by the time the 2012 elections roll around…..Otherwise……his name will not be placed on the state ballot. I understand that several other states have the same idea in mind. I don't understand why people keep confusing Native Born with Natural Born. "Native Born" actually means that a person was born on American soil, and "Natural Born" means that both of your parents were American citizens as defined in our Constitution.
The Constitution actually makes a distinction between a "citizen" and a Natural Born citizen: "No Person except a "Natural Born Citizen", or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the signing of this Constitution, shall be eligible to hold the Office of President."
Furthermore, it clarifies that Natural Born status is bestowed by having two parents who are both "American citizens", and it denies "Natural Born" status to children born to fathers who were never American citizens:
"And the children of "citizens" of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States shall be considered as natural born citizens; Provided, that the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States."
The Natural Born requirement was our founders way of insuring that future presidents would have no foreign or outside influence, either through inheritance or influence of a foreign born parent. Barack/Barry, or whatever his name is, can not be considered Natural Born because he inherited British citizenship from his father.
Furthermore, Barack Obama, AKA Barry Soetoro, was also a citizen of Indonesia, Great Britain, and Kenya. Therefore, he could never be considered a Natural Born citizen regardless of place of birth, and that is a fact already established.

I think he was significantly pressured to retract his statement. Obama has admitted in his book and on his website "Fighit the Smears." that he was born a British citizen which is true because his father was from Kenya and Kenya in 1961 was a British Protectorate. The British Protectorate Act of 1948 required all children of citizens of Kenya born anywhere in the world were British citizens. The only British citizens allowed to be President were those alive at the time of the signing of the Constitution. The long form birth certificate is not necessary. He is ineligible by his own statements, since he is not natural born which requires both parents to be U.S. citizens.

A COLB (Certificate of Live Birth) as posted on factcheck.org is NOT the same thing as an "Original Birth Certificate". When BHO was born in Kenya, Hawai had five different ways to obtain a COLB, many of which did not require a Dr's signature nor a Midwife's attestation to birth. The question comes to mind, why would someone spend over 2 millions dollars in order to not release this document or any of the other various documents. Only a person who is trying to conceal his identity and actual place of birth would do such a thing. His own Grandmother, still living in Mombasa, Kenya, has stated she was present when BHO was born there. It's just another payoff by BHO"s thugs to quiet someone.

The Sumerian Man got it right where he said.. "Supreme Court hearing ever brought to session, he will probably get his ouster overturned because to guys like Rahm Emanuel and Barack Obama the law is just a bunch of meaningless words." That's exactly the campaign words Obama used in his speeches. I at that time questioned them….so remember them well. He said……..words are just words…… Told me immediately that he can say anything he wants. Promise you anything or everything as long as you vote for him. Of course,…….after he was elected…….He reemphasized those words…….as meaningless……Now since he is in………he doesn't need to stand by them.
I hope none of you mind if I change the subject a little. We all know what we want of Obama and his BC, but now is the time to add more to our demand of his BC, we need to focus on the fact that our economy is in a shamble, and employement is at best 9.4%, which equals NO JOBS, homes are being lost more & more everyday, the politicians have been, and continue to STEAL out of the money WE the People put in for Social Security, and they have not put it back while the law said they could not touch it, also, Washington continues not to listen to the people, and it appears that those in charge wants to turn us into a Government run Country, should I go on? Look at Egypt, It is time for America to rise up & show the World, that we can do it Peaceably together each and everyday until we are heard & We The People get our Country back, you know the one that our Forefathers fought & died for. Do you agree? If you do let me hear from you, then let's get to work in a peaceful way or we will soon be own by China 100%.

It seems that our newly appointed Justice Elena Kagan represented Obama in numerous attempts to petition the Supreme Court to ask for a ruling about Obama"s birth records, college records, everything in his background. Kagan was the Solicitor General that fought for Obama's secrecy. Now, how do you think she would rule if she participated in a hearing about a question of his legitimacy to hold office? She should withdraw and not participate under any circumstances. Go to the website and see just how far into the upper levels of our government this insidious evil regime has penetrated. When a person goes to the lengths Obama has to keep his background a secret then you can bet the farm that he has lots to hide! There most definitely is a far reaching conspiracy to assist Obama and his Chicago thugs in bringing down this country.
