Media Blackout On Obama Eligibility Dates Back To November

By Douglas Hagmann & Judi McLeod, Canada Free Press

Barack Obama 5 SC Media Blackout on Obama eligibility dates back to November

Do you remember Watergate? Thirty-five years ago this Sunday, U.S. President Richard M. Nixon submitted his letter of resignation for his role in the scandal. There was the crime – the break-in, and then there was the cover-up by the Nixon administration. There were threats, media manipulation and disinformation. It was the cover-up more than the crime itself in the aftermath of the Watergate break-in that led to the downfall of the Nixon administration. It was a politically critical time for our country, but we survived because of the strength of the U.S. constitution.

Now, we potentially face a new constitutional crisis stemming from the refusal of Barack Hussein Obama to produce a one-page document that would confirm his eligibility to hold the highest office in the land. Eligibility to hold office is not a “fringe” matter, but a core constitutional issue that lies at the very heart of a growing controversy.

Although we do not have the birth certificate or proof of ineligibility, the Northeast Intelligence Network and Canada Free Press have documentation of a cover-up relating to the issue of Obama’s eligibility to hold office. The proof we possess not only exposes a well orchestrated cover-up, but also provides critical insight into why the topic of Obama’s eligibility has failed to gain traction in the corporate media.

Obama ‘mama’: 15 Days From Birth To Seattle Class

By Jerome R. Corsi, Worldnetdaily

Barack Obama American flag SC Obama mama: 15 days from birth to Seattle class

Stanley Ann Dunham, Barack Obama’s mother, was registered for college classes in Seattle only 15 days after reportedly delivering her first-born child in Honolulu, according to school records obtained by WND.

How Dunham was able to travel the 2,680 air miles from Honolulu to Seattle only a few days after the birth of her baby is not disclosed in the currently available public record concerning President Obama’s birth.

Nor is there anything on the public record to explain how Dunham managed to find an apartment and relocate with her infant son so she could begin taking university classes within 15 days of the baby’s birth.
There is also nothing on the public record to suggest Madelyn Dunham, Ann Dunham’s mother, or any other family member preceded or accompanied Dunham to Seattle in August 1961 to help the new mother and infant son find appropriate living arrangements and complete the university’s enrollment process prior to beginning classes.

Obama Threatens Freedom Of The Press

Barack Obama between flags SC Obama Threatens Freedom of the Press

On July 22, 2009, President Obama held one of the most boring news conferences in the history of televised presidential events. For nearly 50 minutes, he blathered on about private and public health care plans, red pills and blue pills, costs and benefits. In the last five minutes of the conference, he made his controversial comments about Henry Louis Gates and the Cambridge, Mass., police department — but by that time, everyone watching was either drifting into sleep or totally comatose.

So why did ABC, NBC, and CBS broadcast this atrocious, narcolepsy-inducing ode to arrogance in the midst of prime time?

It turns out that President Obama and his hatchet man, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, are not averse to using their bully tactics on political allies as well as political enemies. Howard Kurtz of the Washington Post reports that when networks began fussing over broadcasting yet another Obama snoozefest, Emanuel called not the programming chiefs, but the heads of parent companies in an effort to pressure networks to greenlight his boss’s show. According to Kurtz, Emanuel buzzed Les Moonves, chief executive of CBS, Jeffrey Immelt, chief executive of General Electric, which owns NBC, and Bob Iger, chief executive of Disney, which owns ABC.

Rather Slathers Blather

By Anthony Bialy, Smart Girl Nation

It’s a secret ballot. But yeah, Dan Rather voted for Barack Obama. Now, Walter Cronkite’s replacement wants something in return for having once again voted Democratic in 2008. Namely, he declared in a recent speech at the Aspen Institute that he expects the president to save the media that Dan helped ruin.

Rather wants to put the “free” in free press. That’s according to the Aspen Daily News story about his lecture: “The free press, as established by the First Amendment to the Constitution, ought to operate as a public trust, not solely as a money-making endeavor, Rather argued, and it’s time the government make an effort to ensure the survival of the free press.” The report included his non-profit-minded resolution: “’I personally encourage the president to establish a White House commission on public media.’” The good news is that he didn’t ask for a bailout of The New York Times, although we probably shouldn’t give him ideas.

Presumably, the commission would ensure that presidential candidate-maligning reports based on phony documents would be kept from the airwaves. Right, Dan? Aside from that, the problem from Rather’s perspective is that the type of journalism he admires is so good that people don’t watch or appreciate it. Therefore, he’s insisting that federal overlords intervene. We already have a media venue for people who think along such lines: it’s named NPR, and it’s despised by virtually every single person who involuntarily pays for it.

Top TV “News” Doctors Are Democratic Donors

Donkey SC Top TV News Doctors Are Democratic Donors

Today the Media Research Center (MRC) revealed that ABC News is not the only network guilty of giving Democratic-donating medical doctors a microphone to “report” on President Barack Obama’s government health care proposal.  CBS and NBC medical physician correspondents have also chipped in their own cash to Democratic – but never Republican – candidates.

A search of OpenSecrets.org revealed:

•    CBS’s Dr. Jon LaPook – Before joining CBS, LaPook gave $4,000 to Democratic presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Wesley Clark, plus a hefty $20,000 donation to the DNC.

•    NBC’s Dr. Nancy Snyderman – Records show two contributions totaling $800 to Democratic congressional candidates when she worked at the health care giant Johnson & Johnson after her stint at ABC News and before joining NBC.

Why I Doubt Kenyan Birth Document

By Joseph Farah, WorldnetDaily

Barack Obama 6 SC Why I doubt Kenyan birth document

I bet that got your attention. For 24 hours, I have been deluged with e-mail – about 6,000 more than usual – that essentially fall into three categories:

Thank you for getting the goods on Barack Obama – I knew he was born in Kenya. You really stepped in it this time, Farah. That document is bogus and it’s going to take the whole “birther” movement down once it is revealed as such.

Don’t you investigate the facts before you publish something? That document cannot be real because of X, Y and Z.

Because so many Americans have been educated in government schools, it is probably necessary for me to explain that reporting a news story is different than making an assertion.

No one at WND – not me, not Jerome Corsi, not any columnists, not any reporters – have defended the authenticity of the Kenyan birth certificate. No one here has made a judgment that it is real. What we did was report a fact – that California attorney Orly Taitz has filed a motion in federal court to determine its authenticity.

Heck, Barack Obama’s purported “certification of live birth” has been on the Internet for nearly a year and there are still people fighting over whether it is real or not.

Media’s Glaring Mistakes In Eligibility Coverage

By Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, WorldnetDaily

Barack Obama 8 SC Medias glaring mistakes in eligibility coverage

After stalling, the old-line media is beginning to cover the controversy around the failure of our political system to test Barack Obama’s eligibility under the U.S. Constitution to serve as president. For months now, Internet-launched campaigns have flooded traditional newsrooms with tens of thousands of personalized faxes, e-mails and petitions, all with the goal of spurring coverage. But old-line coverage persistently is riddled with errors, full of vitriol and dishonesty.

Most of the coverage carries the same tone as this Miami Herald headline, “Here’s the truth: ‘Birther’ claims are just plain nuts.” But let’s do more than name-calling and examine the arguments in the old-line media stories. Their arguments fall into three categories.

Their first line of argument is evidenced by this sentence from the Kansas City Star: “White House aides say only that Obama has produced his birth certificate. That’s true. It is a birth certificate, issued by the state Health Department and acceptable to prove citizenship to the federal government for purposes of obtaining a passport. It’s also true that it isn’t THE original birth certificate.”

We call this the “what I’ve produced is good enough” argument. Most coverage then references the website factcheck.org, which has a dubious record and is funded by the same Annenberg Foundation that funneled money to Obama’s early career. Sorry, but our days of trusting government officials and their echo choir in the media are over.

Barack Obama Vs. Drudge Report

By MIKE ALLEN, Politico

The White House on Tuesday posted a three-minute video punching back at an old clip of President Barack Obama that was featured on the Drudge Report with the headline “Uncovered Video: Obama Explains How His Health Care Plan Will ‘Eliminate’ Private Insurance.”

The White House response features Linda Douglass, formerly an ABC News correspondent and now a White House official, showing Drudge’s homepage on the screen of her office computer.

Dan Pfeiffer, the White House deputy communications director, said: “We intend to use a lot of the grassroots viral Internet techniques from the campaign to beat back the campaign of misstatements and outright falsehoods about the president’s efforts to reform health insurance.”

The video begins: “Hi. I’m Linda Douglass. I’m the communications director for the White House Office of Health Reform, and one of my jobs is to keep track of all the disinformation that’s out there about health-insurance reform. And there are a lot of very deceiving headlines out there right now, such as this one — take a look at this one. This one says, ‘Uncovered Video: Obama Explains How His Health Care Plan Will Eliminate PRIVATE Insurance.’

Olbermann Celebrates Return By Lying About Glenn Beck

Keith Olbermann SC Olbermann Celebrates Return by Lying About Glenn Beck

There may have been a truce, but it never applied to Keith Olbermann lying. That’s a constant as reliable as the rising sun, and sure enough he marked his return today by lifting a story from a blue blog, reporting it as fact without bothering to check, and then embellishing it with his own brand of reckless demagoguery. In other words, Another Olbermann Lie.

In his ‘best persons’ segment, he told the story of Nancy Genovese, arrested outside an air base taking pictures. Actual news reports, like Newsday, the Long Island Press, and the Southhampton Press, tell the straight story, one that would have been of no interest whatsoever to Oralmann. But the version he came up with was considerably juicier, and ripe for a gleeful attack on Fox. With the caption reading “as heard on tv”, Olby cackled:

“Proof that watching crazy man on tv will make you crazy… She apparently decided that the base was actually a secret FEMA detention camp. Do you know where she got that idea? From Glenn Beck. She says so on her myspace page.”

The bigger question is where did Krazy Keith get that idea? None of the news reports says anything about her thinking it’s a FEMA camp. Well you know Olby is devoted to his blue blog sources, and that goes double for his own blog of choice, the Daily Kos. And sure enough, that’s where we find this:

Hawaii Refuses To Verify Obama’s Certificate Of Live Birth He Put On Website

By Jerome Corsi, Worldnetdaily

Barack Obama speech 11 SC Hawaii Refuses To Verify Obamas Certificate Of Live Birth He Put On Website

In response to a direct question from WND, the Hawaii Department of Health refused to authenticate either of the two versions of President Obama’s short-form Certificate of Live Birth, or COLB, posted online – neither the image produced by the Obama campaign nor the images released by FactCheck.org.

Janice Okubu, the public information officer for the Hawaii DOH, also had no explanation for why Dr. Chiyome Fukino’s initial press release last October and subsequent press release last week also avoided declaring the posted images to be of authentic documents.

In June 2008, Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, released the initial short-form Obama COLB to various newspapers including the Los Angeles Times declaring, “This is Sen. Obama’s birth certificate.”
This short-form Obama COLB was released as a .jpg Internet image, displaying no signs of having been folded or of carrying an official State of Hawaii embossed seal.
