Even Murder Is Excused These Days: “The Gun Culture Did It”

guns SC Even Murder Is Excused These Days: The Gun Culture Did It

The murder-suicide committed by selfish, coddled phony Kansas City Chief linebacker Jovan Belcher was a tragedy for two people.  They include: his live-in girlfriend/murder victim, 22 year old Kasandra Perkins, of course, but more so their 3 month old baby daughter Zoey, who is now left an orphan because her father could not deal with hearing the word “No.”

Of course, we don’t know exactly what was being argued over when the frustration of being told “No” must have overtaken Belcher. Nevertheless, in the  aftermath, what we can see and hear gives us a fair idea of what we couldn’t see or hear as the fatal argument unfolded in the couple’s home last week. Ms. Perkins made the fatal choice to say “No” to Belcher and lost her life for it.

With the funerals not even held, we saw and heard the liberal media immediately seize the opportunity to cover for the selfish, coddled athlete even in death without mention of his own personal responsibility.

A Kansas City sports writer said: “Handguns do not enhance our safety…. here is what I believe: If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.”

In the maladjusted liberal mind, people, especially coddled athletes, don’t kill people; guns, knives, cars, acid, ropes, baseball bats, and other “malicious thinking” inanimate objects kill people.

It is hard to tell whose reaction to this murder/suicide is more repulsive: the media for helping a murderer escape responsibility, or the clowns in the stands tearfully holding up signs memorializing a murderer because he played professional football.

That Belcher’s involvement in a group of athletes against violence toward women called Male Athletes Against Violence was a lie means nothing to his fans and the sycophantic media. Apparently, Belcher’s pledge not to engage in violence against females doesn’t make him a liar in the eyes of his adoring fans in the stands or the press box.

“Jovan made a mistake, but he’s still our man” seems to ooze from every pore of these morons, none of whom are intelligent enough to know the difference between a “mistake” (which would be wearing one blue sock and one black sock) and an evil selfish act like killing the mother of your child and leaving your little girl an orphan.

Pray for little Zoey.

Worldview Collision Portends Trouble For America

Islam symbol SC Worldview collision portends trouble for America

The recent US presidential election embraced secularism as the favored worldview in America. The “melting pot” of traditional America is now being replaced with an advanced model of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is characterized by the cultural and moral relativism of the secular worldview. Secularism has been firmly established in Europe for many years. European secularism has yielded lower birth rates, lower economic growth, higher government presence in the economy and culture, reduced church attendance, increased tensions regarding religious freedom, and a growing sense that European failures of secularism bode poorly for the prospects of the continent. The leaders of France, Germany, and Great Britain, recognizing the direction in which they are headed, have all stated that “multiculturalism” has failed and that it has produced “extremism” in addition to the aforementioned economic problems.

Despite such overwhelming evidence that condemns secularism, America may be embarking upon a similar journey that will surely not end well for freedom as we know it. Secularism has a long history of human rights violations and, along with radical Islam, represents the most significant threat to economic and religious freedom wherever these worldviews are dominant. The riots in secular Europe, which are a response to austerity measures imposed by world bankers, is a small example of the unrest that often precedes increased authoritarian rule. Freedom is determined by worldview.

Secularism, which opposes the Judeo-Christian worldview, has a long history of religious persecution. According to the leading expert on democide (murder by government), R.J. Rummel, secular governments have killed more than 170 million people in the 20th century alone. Pre-20th century death counts by government (over 600 million) indicate that secular government is civilization’s greatest enemy. Records indicate that Islam, the #2 worldview measured by number of adherents, is responsible for approximately 270 million killed in its 1,400 year history. Moreover, Islam is the world’s leading perpetrator of religious persecution today, followed by secularism.

The Islamist will join the secularist in attacking the Constitution. The secularist wants to use the “separation of church and state” argument to eliminate the Judeo-Christian worldview from public life while the Islamist, in a “stealth jihad”, will use the freedom of religion (and multiculturalism) through judges, etc. to open the door for Sharia law, food regulation, sanctioned prayer, and state suppression of Christian expression. Both are using each other in a type of “termite strategy.” Termites destroy a house slowly from within; and then suddenly it collapses.

This worldview battle to thwart the United States (and its traditional Judeo-Christian worldview) can be seen in the international arena as well. The United Nations is predominantly a secular organization and derives approximately 25% of its funding from the US. The Organization of the Islamic Conference, OIC, represents 57 Islamic countries and is the largest voting bloc of nations within the United Nations of 193 member countries. These are the two largest international organizations focused on global rule in opposition to the Judeo-Christian worldview of the US. The secularists want one-world government through secular institutions while the Islamists want the Caliphate (using Sharia law) to rule the world. Both worldviews aspire to rule the world and see the Judeo-Christian US as the biggest obstacle to their objectives.

Secularists believe in a utopia based upon a secular government that will perfect mankind (which has been wronged by its institutions.) Secularists believe that more (and larger) government is necessary to overturn the negative liberties imposed by the Constitution in order to perfect man. Utopia is realized through social justice administered by the state. Freedom is the sacrifice; government control is the goal.

According to Open Doors International, an organization focused on documenting the worldwide persecution of Christians, the top 31 persecutors of Christians in the world are Islamic countries. According to the World Evangelical Alliance, more than 200 million Christians (in at least 60 countries) are denied fundamental human rights annually, solely because of their faith. More than 100,000 Christians are killed worldwide in one year simply because of their faith.

Both secularists and Islamists depend upon moral relativism regarding their tactics to achieve their objectives. The secularists’ ideological hero is Saul Alinsky, author of “Rules for Radicals” (dedicated to Lucifer in the preamble.) The secularist playbook is substantially Machiavellian where the “ends justify the means.” The Islamist is also devoted to moral relativism through the Islamic doctrines of taqiyya (deception is approved if it advances the cause of Islam), hudna (temporary cease-fires can be established and honored until Islamic position strength is increased), and abrogation (subsequent Koranic verses supercede prior verses if they are in conflict.) This widespread moral relativism within these two worldviews makes the rules of engagement very complicated for Judeo-Christian advocates. In addition, secularists exert controlling influence over the educational establishment, the media institutions, the government, and a large part of the judiciary, making successful engagement all the more problematic.

Nevertheless, direct and vigilant engagement is required to prevent these two worldviews from dominating America. Should that battle be lost, America will become like any other country on earth. American exceptionalism will have come to an end. Freedoms will sunset. There will be no place to run. Tyranny will return to dominate the world as it has throughout recorded history.

Winston Churchill said “An appeaser is one who feeds the crocodile hoping it will eat him last. Victory will never be found in taking the line of least resistance.” Arnold Toynbee said in A Study of History that “Civilizations die from suicide, not murder.” The 2012 voter turnout percentage was lower than 2008 or 2004 at a time when the worldview choices represented by the presidential candidates was the most dramatic in decades.

The contest among Judeo-Christianity, secularism, and Islam will grow more intense through the 21st century. The current rise of the secular worldview bodes poorly for the future when considering the past. The secularists and Islamists have the will, but not the power (yet) to destroy the Judeo-Christian way of life in America. However, the great blessings and achievements of the Judeo-Christian worldview (which maximizes freedom and equality of opportunity) should inspire Americans to return to the freedoms envisioned by our founders, which will restore the country that we love.

Charity Begins At Home

US Flag 3 SC Charity Begins At Home

Black conservatives, traditionalists and other concerned stakeholders of all stripes have a golden opportunity now that Election 2012 has ended.

Working in the inner city is our beach head. While I favor the GOP, my over riding concern is the moral and material resurrection of Black culture and the inner city.

White sisters and brothers have a stake in this process, but the lions share of it is ours alone. That’s not a racist assessment. It’s a realist one summed up by the old saying, ” charity begins at home.”

Conservatives, traditionalists and other concerned stakeholders already deploy faith-based, civic and individual efforts against the vulgarity, violence and hopelessness spewing from our culture and its gaping wound, the inner city.

We need to network these efforts better since the foreseeable future promises no relief. Our moral and material resurrection is the fabled balm in Gilead sought for generations.

A Black president should be filed away as a historic footnote while redoubling private attempts to preside better over the mess we’ve inherited.

Challenging municipal, county and state leadership over hot button urban priorities like education and public safety await aggressive, coordinated action.

The irony is this won’t be a solely Black conservative project. For instance, most Black school choice proponents are inner city Democrats acting independent of teachers unions or even elected officials.

A recent Journey For Justice 2012 march on DC wasn’t led by black Republicans. It was the brainchild of Democratic Chicago education activists, from Obama’s district no less, networking with big city counter parts to protest urban public school closures supported by the US Department of Education.

Black conservatives who haven’t already should join forces with this faction attacking failed majority Black school systems and bureaucrats enabling them.

Community exclusion from charter school governance is a reform flash point. Residents complain about toothless advisory committees and lack of a quorum of these institution’s boards.

Real community oversight of charter school executive functions and relative lack of black owned charter operators being granted contracts in majority black districts are home rule issues community conservatives can appreciate.

My time with otherwise liberal New Orleans education reformers has been very rewarding. Our battle for smarter, safer
charter schools with real community oversight is key to creating smarter, safer inner cities.

Crime prevention is another area enjoying broad coalition support. Most of the black men foot patrolling dangerous neighborhoods are Democrats.

Their major point of demarcation with their party is eschewing police ( government ) as the primary public safety provider in favor of a more active community security role.

Under the auspices of community oriented policing this more active role is theoretically welcome. My experience has been black citizen patrols are often viewed skeptically but eventually as accepted.

Speculation includes racism and the rarity of such activism as probable causes, The Nation of Islam’s decades-long street outreach and Rev Al Sharpton’s recent Occupy The Corners initiative are prime examples.

Other notable inner city anti-crime coalitions include the late Herman Wrice Mantua Against Drugs; Concerned Black Men; Mad Dads; Security Dads and the now-defunct Detroit 300.

Detroit 300 began in February 2012, Black History Month ironically enough, and achieved great success in tracking down rape suspects and other serious threats.

When one of their members was murdered this June, the group lost its cohesion as grief proved the one foe they couldn’t defeat.

Detroit 300 was singular in its no-nonsense focus on declaring black men preying on the community their “… enemy- period! ‘ to quote its co-founder at their first press conference.

Street conservatives will find ready allies in a non-partisan crusade against ills the right usually decries from the safety of hotel or conference room podiums.

My years as a street traditionalist whom conservative personality Sonnie Johnson finally convinced to join the conservative fold, have been fruitful.

The message of personal responsibility, old school values, not accepting criminality as the only inner city identity and mutual aid is preached by Black conservatives, traditionalists and other concerned stakeholders alike.

Groups like Hood Conservatives and online site Move On Up.org’s various real world affiliates have more black conservatives hitting the streets.

Charity begins at home and those active in the Hood need more boots on the ground.

Where The Church Went Wrong… And How To Make It Right!

Evangelical Church SC Where the Church Went Wrong... And How To Make it Right!

The Workers are… FEW!

I want to introduce this lesson by giving the reader a “wake up call” with some hard-hitting facts concerning the state of churches in the US:

  • 95% all of Christians have never won someone to the Lord!
  • 80% of Christians never even share their faith!
  • Only 2% of all Christians are active in evangelism ministries at their church!
  • 63% of the leadership, including deacons and elders, have not led one stranger to Jesus in the last two years through the method of “Go Ye” evangelism!
  • 49% of the leadership ministries spend zero time in an average week ministering outside of the church!
  • 89% of the leadership ministries have zero time reserved on their list of weekly priorities for going out to evangelize!
  • 99% of church leadership believes that every Christian, including themselves, has been commanded to preach the gospel to a lost world (notice the hypocrisy: “they know and teach, but don’t do it or live it!”).
  • 97% believe that if the leadership had a greater conviction and involvement in evangelism, that it would be an example for the church to follow.
  • 96% of the leadership believe their churches would have grown faster if they would have been more involved in evangelism.*

* Stats taken from http://bible.org/illustration/evangelism-statistics

Diagnosis

I would like to draw out from these numbers a few bottom lines as to why Christians do not evangelize:

1) Apathy

2) Fear of man

This article will be taking that first roadblock head on: Apathy simply means you don’t care. The Kingdom of God, heaven, hell and eternity all seem to have very little relevance to your daily life. You have wept over your home team losing but haven’t wept for your lost loved ones. You have become frustrated over who didn’t come to your dinner party, but the devil’s work of destroying lives doesn’t bother you nearly as much. You lose sleep over money woes, but God’s glory and the Judgment Seat are way in the back of your mind.

Is that you I described? That’s also me at times. We all experience apathy in different seasons. The cares of this life consume us to where we lose sight of what’s really important. When that happens, however, the Spirit often convicts us, we repent, and God refreshes our hunger and restores our vision.

But for some, apathy is a way of life. There are Christians who read the Bible, attend church, and listen to Christian radio, but seem oblivious to the effects of sin and the lostness of people around them. They think that random acts of kindness and kicking God a “tip” in the offering bucket is helping the problem. Such apathy often stems from bad theology. These are the kind of teachings:

  • That make the Christian into a “victim” and not a “victor”, constantly looking inward to their hurts and problems but never overcoming them.
  • That stopped calling people “sinners” and now calls them “unchurched” so as to downplay their condition and make them feel better.
  • That invent doctrines to support their own unbelief and discouragement, such as: denial of healing and spiritual gifts, and claims that the world and the Church will only get worse before Jesus returns.
  • That treat Christianity more like Eastern religion in that it focuses on mystical experiences but are not very practical.
  • That makes the pastor into the star of the show as the only who preaches, and the congregation as mere spectators.
  • That have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof!

I write the following appeal in hopes that “cold-hearted Christians” will get a plain understanding of what the Bible says and what the world needs so they can be “on fire” and win a world for Jesus!

God’s Heart

I can give you a theological summary of Jesus dying for our sins and our preaching to others about it, but I want to give you a much simpler reason why we are to evangelize: God loves people!

First, I want to make something clear to you: the human race gives God no reason to love them. In fact, each person has strayed so far away from God that they only give him reason to punish them. Don’t think we’re that bad? Since Roe v. Wade in 1973, countless millions of babies have been slaughtered in abortion mills; and many people regard that as a good thing (they call it a “woman’s right”), while still more look the other way with coldness. This is on top of all the war, starvation, and chaos man has produced since the beginning of the earth. Yet the Bible still says:

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life- John 3:16.

Greater love has no one than this: that he lay down his life for his friends-
John 15:13.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us-
Romans 5:8.

How could God love us so much? The Bible teaches us that God is love, and so God has perfect love. When we evangelize to people, we are expressing God’s great love for them. We are saying: “Even though you’ve sinned against him, God still loves you. He wants to forgive you and give you a new heart! The Maker of the universe became a humble man (Jesus) and died a brutal death to make this possible! Come to him!”

The Bible teaches that God loves us like any good parent should. In some ways, he loves us like a father (Psalm 103:13); in other ways, he loves us like a mother (Luke 13:34). Whether you are a parent or you have parents (which we all have), you know it breaks their heart when their children do wrong. I remember when I was 14 years old and my mother wept bitterly because she found out I was smoking pot and cigarettes. There are two reasons she was saddened:

1) Because I was smoking, even though I knew my mother was against it. This showed her that I didn’t love her enough to respect her wishes.

2) Because she wanted the best for me; but smoking is harmful to my health, and drug use could have eventually destroyed my life.

It is the same way God’s heart is broken when people live sinful lives. It shows that they love sin more than God. Sin is also the cause of all suffering on earth and ultimately leads us to hell. With so much sin in the world, it only makes sense that God our Father is heartbroken. Of course, like a loving parent, God can also forgive and restore no matter what the child has done (Luke 15:11-40).

The problem is that God’s unconditional love is lost on people. People hear “God is love” all the time, but they rarely understand what that truly means. So when we evangelize, we are reminding them of this fact. In order for us to properly transmit the message, we must understand it ourselves. We must share God’s heart.

The Evangelist’s Heart

There comes a time in our walk with God that he shares with us how he feels. This might happen when we pray or read the Bible, or even during our morning commute to work. Any time that God shares his heart, it is intense. Here are a few verses about people like you and me who had been given a glimpse of God’s heart for the lost:

Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed- Psalm 119:136.

Every time a person is murdered, God’s law is not obeyed. In every home that is broken by adultery and divorce, God’s law is not obeyed. Wherever a young woman is pressured and deceived into aborting her baby, God’s law is not obeyed. With every life that is crushed by drug and alcohol addiction, God’s law is not obeyed. The psalmist here was horrified at the thought of people who chose ugly sin over the perfect ways of God.

Many people in our day know God’s commands but do not think it necessary to keep them. How do rebellion, sex, drugs, and violence being sold to our young people make you feel? Does the atheistic influence of the media on our families bother you at all? Does it offend you that Jesus died brutally under the wrath of heaven to save people from their sin, yet most people love their sins and boldly commit them? Today in America, God’s law is broken more than it is kept; and because of this, God’s judgment is not too far off.**

Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears. I would weep day and night for the slain of my people- Jeremiah 9:1.

Jeremiah was a prophet whom God sent to warn the people of Judah that their sin would be judged. Because Jeremiah spoke from the heart of God, he was unpopular with all the people. They mocked him, placed him in stocks, and even threw him in a sewer at one point. Still, the destruction that would overtake them caused him to cry ‘til his tears ran out.

Jesus said for us to love our enemies and bless those who curse us. Is it okay with you that the enemies of God are going to hell forever? Do you even believe in hell?

God is not an unstable, violent god who kills people when he has temper tantrums. He is loving, merciful, and very patient with people. His judgment comes slowly but sudden because sinful people and whole nations will not repent after many warnings; they leave him no choice.

“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” declares the Sovereign LORD. “Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!” Ezekiel 18:23, 32.

Seeing the Need

With as many churches and Christian organizations as there are today, it would be a great failure on our part if God had to pass judgment on America. It says to me that Christians have missed the heart that Jesus had for a lost and sinful world. Read this passage and see the world how the Lord sees it:

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38

When Jesus saw the people, he saw their need for salvation. They were like lost sheep in a world full of wolves, and they needed a good Shepherd who would lay his life down to save them. Compassion gripped him, and he felt their pain, even if they were numb to it.

Next time you leave the house, look closely at each person you see on the street and remind yourself that “Jesus died for them and wants to touch every single one of their lives.” Your city is full of lost sheep, harassed and helpless.

Oh, if only someone would show them the way to life! When Jesus saw the lost sheep, he wished for workers to go and gather them. He knew that he alone could not gather so many people, so he told his disciples to pray for more workers to tell them all the Good News.

Remember, “the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which is lost (Luke 19:10).” He sought out the lost and hurting; he did not hold back his life-saving message from the people. Jesus preached in the Jewish Temple and in the synagogues, but much of his ministry was out in the open, where the ungodly sinners were. That’s where the greatest need was.

What Happened to Evangelism?

The Bible calls the Church the Body of Christ. That means we are his hands and feet; we are his voice crying out to a lost and dying world! Today, God is calling us to go out and touch the world. The only way to truly change the world is if we change people’s hearts, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that can do that (Romans 1:16).

The question is not “Why are we supposed to evangelize?” No, evangelism is so important that the question is “Why aren’t we evangelizing?” Why are we sitting around, keeping the Way of eternal life to ourselves while the devil destroys our friends, family, and communities? Today, we get back in touch with God’s heart and see the reason we evangelize. For “God our Savior… wants everyone to be saved and understand the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4).”

**God’s judgment has been known to fall through famine, disease, natural disaster and war overtaking cities and nations. The author is not trying to prophesy about God’s judgment on America; he is only basing his statements on biblical patterns of God judging nations in the past (2 Kings 24:20).

Benghazi Attack Was Failed Kidnapping To Trade Blind Sheik

christopherstevens Benghazi Attack Was Failed Kidnapping to Trade Blind Sheik

A hard to read, hard to believe, hard to write about communique from South Florida Tea Party sources involves the alleged real reasons General David Petreaus “was forced out a few days before the Benghazi hearings.” Citing the stand down orders, the stupid video, and the pulled security, this memo makes a convincing case that a failed October Surprise kidnap event of the U.S. diplomat had a political backdrop involving the impending election. Various background data mentioned in this bulletin contain a tit for tat exchange of Mission Chief Chris Stevens for the Blind Sheik, Omar Abdel Rahman who was involved in the 1993 U.S. World Trade Center attack.

Also alluded to is “trade” is a possible $1.2 billion in U.S. aid earmarked for the Muslim Brotherhood, the group expected to have had a primary role in the Stevens-Sheik switch. Now, America’s stellar fighting man’s takedown because of titillating sex, lies, and email trails just seems too convenient, too time driven, too slick by half. Election Day loomed, the Benghazi hearings can be delayed no longer, and tight poll numbers needed a deus ex machina. Was a contrived solution to this triangulated difficulty imposed by Democrat operatives hell bent on putting Obama back in the Oval Office?

The best laid plans of mice and men often do go far astray, and the stand down order to a tiny group of highly trained ex-Navy Seals/CIA operatives backfired when “they managed to employ the full measure of their skills, and took out over 80 attackers in the process, which enraged the attackers, who were led to believe that they would encounter no resistance.” Was Ambassador Stevens defiled in horrible ways and dragged through Benghazi streets? Were two drones really flying over the consulate during this horrific fire zone in which our American soldiers and diplomats were left to die?

This Tea Party bulletin goes on to say anonymously that “our CIA operatives on the ground were ‘painting targets’ because they knew air cover was available!” And was an October Surprise in a political arena far away the real reason the flesh and blood of our dedicated warriors were spilled? And what about Hillary Clinton, who according to this memo, “is now openly laying the blame” at the feet of our Democrat administration. Stop and think about what really is going on right now. Congress heard closed door secrets about this Benghazi betrayal and murder. They have to know something they are not telling the American people.

And don’t forget the take-down in the political war against brave Colonel Allen West in South Florida. Our men murdered, our great general humiliated, American knees yet again bowed as politics drives our runaway freight train in Washington, D.C. The Tea Party email concludes with: “If this doesn’t outrage you, if you are not moved enough to contact your congressman about this, you are not worthy of your citizenship.” Indeed, so true.

Americans Arming Themselves With Coming Ban On Guns

Miss America w shotgun Creative Commons Evil Erin Americans Arming Themselves With Coming Ban On Guns

In 1833, thirty-four year member of the Supreme Court Joseph Story wrote: “The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered as the palladium of the liberties of a republic.”

That “palladium of liberties” has never been exercised more frequently than during the four years Barack Hussein Obama has been in the White House. According to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), “…the top 10 record gun sales days have occurred since Barack Obama’s election in 2008, and gun ownership has skyrocketed over the last four years.”

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) reports that in 1944 there were approximately 192 million firearms owned by 44 million Americans. By the end of 1996, the ATF reports that “…approximately 242 million firearms were available for sale to or were possessed by civilians in the United States.”  In 2007, that number had increased to 294 million. Clearly there are now well over 300 million firearms in the hands of  American citizens, all thanks to concern that the far-left Administration is a threat to 2nd Amendment and other rights of the American people.

A week ago, Mark Alexander of The Patriot Post was asked “…if Patriots have an obligation to arm themselves — to be gun owners, and be proficient at the use of arms.” He responds by saying it is “self-evident” that Liberty is an “unalienable right,” innately assured as “endowed by our creator…” That is, “it is not awarded by men or government; it is the birthright of all people.”

Throughout history, countless individuals have assaulted those rights “…using the power of government to arbitrarily revoke Liberty and invoke tyranny…” In defense of that liberty, James Madison wrote in the Federalist # 46, that “the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition.”

Barack Obama has proven himself a would-be dictator in virtually every executive order and end-run around the authority of the Congress. But his ambition for unlimited presidential power can only be fully realized upon the disarming of the American public. Understanding this, millions of Americans have armed themselves in anticipation of an eventual, outright ban on gun ownership.

But as Americans, are we compelled to do more than just own firearms? Are we also obligated, as a result of our unique heritage, to use those weapons against any force which threatens the annihilation of our rights and liberty?

Two hundred and forty years ago, approximately one third of colonists took up arms against the British, one third joined the Brits against the revolution and the rest remained neutral. After two centuries of American history and the death of countless men in battle for the preservation of the rights and liberty earned in the Revolution, the time for neutrality or for joining those who would destroy that liberty is over.

Just as millions of arms have been collected in anticipation of an Obama led assault on our God-given rights, it is incumbent upon Americans to use those arms when the time comes. Those who refuse to do so will no longer be Americans, they will be the enemy.

Costas Uses Halftime Broadcast To Rail Against Guns

Bob Costas CC wfuv1 Costas uses halftime broadcast to rail against guns

Just days after Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend and then himself, venerable sportscaster  used his platform to issue an attack on gun ownership.

Quoting an article written by a Kansas City writer, Costas argued that “handguns do not enhance our safety,” noting they “exacerbate our flaws, tempt us to escalate arguments, and bait us into embracing confrontation rather than avoiding it.”

Such generalizations are intellectually dishonest and dangerous.

Guns, which save countless lives when in the appropriate hands, are not responsible for any deaths. The mere presence of a gun owner in a certain situations can, by itself, de-escalate a volatile situation.

Instead, Costas continued parroting another individual’s comments by suggesting America’s “gun culture ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy and that more convenience store confrontations over loud music coming from a car will leave more teenage boys bloodied and dead.”

The article Costas referenced went deeper into the simpleminded argument for gun-grabbing legislation.

According to the writer, America needs to “reflect” on the “absurdity of the prevailing notion that the second amendment somehow enhances our liberty rather than threatens it.”

Both Costas and the writer from whom he borrowed included their belief that “if Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.”

It’s been said many time before but, in light of this assertion, bears repeating: If someone seriously intends to commit murder, the lack of a firearm will not be a deal breaker.

Though this nation has experienced a dramatic shift to the left in recent years, plenty of people were upset with Costas’ gun control speech in the middle of a football game.

One Twitter user wondered: “Is there no venue from which the conservatives can have peace?” Another pointed out Costas’ selective outrage by posting that Costas “feels so strongly about ‘gun violence’ that he never once spoke up about Fast and Furious.”

I suppose it should come as no surprise, though, that a leftist talking head—even during a football game—would tackle an issue only when politically expedient to do so.

Unions Extortion To Replenish Money Spent On Obama

Trumpka wisaflcio Unions Extortion to Replenish Money Spent on Obama

As if California and America have not been damaged enough by greedy unions who don’t give a damn about the rest of us, a small union in the Port of Los Angeles has ground the economy of Southern California to a halt.

A strike by a union of about 800 members has effectively closed the port which is the busiest import/export hub in the country. As a result, the Port of Los Angeles is suffering a loss of $1 billion dollars a day!  The strike has spread to “600,000 truckers, dockworkers, trading companies and others depend for their livelihoods.”

The impact of the strike by the International Long Shore and Warehouse Union as described by an economist is ominous. He said, “The longer it goes, the more the impacts increase. Retailers will have stock outages, lost sales for products not delivered. There will be shutdowns in factories, in manufacturing when they run out of parts.”

As usual, the issue separating the union and management is the union’s insistence upon continuing its extortionist policy of “featherbedding” by which temporary thieves come to the docks, don’t do any work and still get paid for being “on the job.”

Since there has not been a contract between the parties for 21 1/2 years, it is very clear that the rank-and-file members are happy with conditions on the Los Angeles docks, so why the problem? These “featherbedding” jobs are not being filled by them. They have jobs that they like and want to keep. The push for extortion is being made to recoup some of the money the union laid out to purchase Barack Obama.

As is the case with most “blue collar” unions, the International Long Shore and Warehouse Union gave millions of dollars to Democrats (99% to 1% to Republicans) and they don’t have enough actual workers to extort to get back their outlay anytime soon.  They need to force management to play make believe with them – they want management to make believe “featherbedding” so-called “workers” actually exist so the union can collect union dues from these phantoms.

It is an excellent bet we will see more of this type of union attack on America in the coming months. They will want to extort as much money as they can from the companies they are killing, before they collapse.

Bush Tax Cuts Only For The Rich? Really?

Taxes SC Bush Tax Cuts Only for the Rich? Really?

If you are the kind of person who loves (or morbidly hates politics, but can’t get enough of it) then you have probably been following the negotiations between the Progressives (aka Democrats) concerning our “fiscal cliff” situation. You have probably discerned that our illustrious President does not really want to solve the problem in a bipartisan way. Obama, and his Progressive zombies have made it very clear that their intent is let everyone’s taxes go up, and blame it on the Republicans. The Progressives are more interested in destroying the Republican Party than in stopping the economic pain that the expiration of the “Bush era” tax cuts which inflict on those who can afford it least!

This action, or I should say “non-action” causes me to ask this question of all Americans. “If the Bush tax cuts helped only the rich, then why when they expire will they hurt everyone?” Could it be that Progressives have lied to us for the last four years in order to paint the Republicans as, evil villains, who are only out to help the rich?  Why is Obama and his minions claiming that all Americans are going to be affected by this economic disaster if it only affected the wealthy in the first place. I have repeated this question for a reason. Think about this for a minute: Obama, and the Progressives have been lying to you about who really benefited by the Bush tax cuts and now he doesn’t care if it hurts all of us in an attempt to destroy his political opponents using the American taxpayer to do it?

Is Obama in Washington, D.C. trying to solve this problem right now? The answer is no;  he’s out campaigning to force the Republicans to accept only his tax increases with no spending cuts! The deficit we have as a country isn’t because we don’t have enough money coming into the government, it is because the Progressives don’t want to cut out any spending! This country has to borrow .40 cents of every dollar that it spends from the Chinese because we have run out of money.

The Republicans need to simply walk away and make Obama and his Progressive zombies take the heat (or responsibility) for what is about to happen to middle class America. If the good people of this country really pin the blame on the Republicans, then this country has totally abdicated its responsibility as adults to demand accountability from its elected officials.  Obama has been playing at being President ever since he was elected in 2008. He needs to realize that it is he, and he alone, that we are holding accountable for the results of the fiscal cliff. It is not Valerie Jarrett, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid,  or any of Obama’s senior aides and staff’s job to lead—it is Obama!

The mantra of the “wealthy must pay their fair share” is ridiculous in the extreme because they actually pay double their fair share. How, you may ask? Think about this: a woman has an idea for a company. She goes out and finds investors— people to lend her money to buy equipment, and hire employees—and starts her business. She takes part of  her pay in stock in her company. The company does well, and she gets paid back some of the profit (as does every other shareholder) in the form of dividends on her stocks (shares) which she also has to pay taxes on again! Plus, if that woman becomes really successful (a multi-millionaire) when she passes away the government steps in again, and takes a nice chunk of change called an “estate tax.”  How in the world does anyone not consider this to be “not paying their fair share?”

All these Progressives who holler the loudest about what the rich have are usually themselves wealthy people, but they have an advantage that the ordinary citizen doesn’t, that is the ability to craft loopholes in the laws that they write that allow them to secretly keep more of their money, or do what the Kennedys did, and keep their money offshore! The Progressives are willing to level the playing field as long as they can stay above it all. As long as they retain control and power they are more than willing to redistribute the wealthy of those they don’t like.

I wonder if Obama is capable of switching from his constant campaign mode to a real leadership role, or if he is fundamentally incapable of making any kind of tough decisions on his own? It is troubling that with very little time left in this year the fiscal cliff isn’t Obama’s one and only domestic priority right now. He should be in the White House, burning the midnight oil, trying to hash out a realistic compromise, that will spare all of America one big economic headache. Instead, he’s out on the road telling the American people to call and put pressure on Republican congressmen/women to capitulate to his unreasonable demands. If you will look at what Obama, and his Treasury Secretary have come up with for a proposal, you’ll understand what I mean.

Barack Obama knows only how to blame other people for his failure at leadership. He is not capable of making easy decisions, let alone the more difficult ones. Keep your eye on Obama during this fiscal crisis and you will find out definitively why he should not be the President of these United States. Obama is incapable of leading, which means that he is incompetent. The power that this man holds without the responsibility and maturity to make quick, decisive decisions puts not only America, but the entire world in danger.

One last time, you need to ask yourself this question: “If the Bush tax cuts were only for the rich then why are all taxpayers going to be punished instead of just those who supposedly benefited?” Tell me it’s not true that Obama and the Progressives have been lying to us the last four years. This writer dislikes Obama because he is more interested in gaining political advantage over those who oppose the Progressive agenda versus moving America forward. He lied about that too.

Merry Christmas!
