Multiculturalism Claims Victory Over Valentine’s Day

Children at one Massachusetts elementary school are no longer able to celebrate Valentine’s Day – or any other holiday, for that matter – because of concerns for cultural sensitivity.
Parents recently received a letter from school administrators explaining there are “many different nationalities, cultures, and languages spoken” at the school; therefore, “we don’t honor specific holidays.”
Somehow, the exchange of friendly cards and chalky hearts is deemed offensive to the politically correct, multicultural, perpetually outraged leftists in the public school system.
The school’s principal said instead of purchasing cards designed specifically for Valentine’s Day and available at virtually any retailer across the nation, these kids must bring a “friendship card” to a revamped celebration.
“I wanted to make sure that every single student is given the opportunity to get a card and also give a card,” she said. “I didn’t want some students feeling left out.”
One retired teacher spoke for those nostalgic of a more traditional time in America.
“I am so glad I am retired,” she said. “I don’t think I could stand all the bans in the schools today.”
The principal noted a large population of the school’s students don’t speak English, and she was afraid they “wouldn’t understand the concept of having to bring a card or get a card.”
The act of giving and receiving cards still remains, though, so I’m not sure how she is dealing with this perceived problem by merely removing any references to Valentine’s Day.
Despite logic that strikes me as questionable at best, the school district’s superintendent is on board with the holiday ban, explaining there are “certain traditions we have to modify and adapt.”
This nation has undergone so much modification in the name of inclusivity that those expressing traditionally American views and beliefs are the only ones now excluded.

Why The Left Is Afraid Of Dr. Benjamin Carson

Dr. Benjamin Carson’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast last week astounded many Americans. Some people found strength in Carson’s straightforward discussion about God, family, and politics; yet, other people found the speech offensive. Perhaps no other person categorized Carson’s speech as inappropriate for the occasion more than Bob Beckel.
According to Beckel, Carson’s main purpose in speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast was to gain “15 minutes of fame.” Beckel’s accusation is laughable at best and shows a level of ignorance and incompetence that has become typical of Progressives as of late. If only Beckel had behaved in a manner befitting a true journalist and done his research, he would have found out that Carson is a well-known and highly respected professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, and pediatrics at the reputable Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Additionally, he has served as the director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for more years than Beckel can count. Carson holds over 50 honorary doctorate degrees and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Horatio Alger Society of Distinguished Americans, amongst other prestigious organizations.
In his speech, Carson used charm, wit, charisma, humor, and intellect to address important issues that concern many Americans today. Unlike Obama’s speeches laden with empty rhetoric, Carson discussed the significance of our liberties, the burden of taxation, and the importance of education for all Americans. Yet, instead of recognizing the significance of the speech to America’s future, detractors such as Beckel have tried to undermine the position of this great American. For Beckel, it would seem that Carson’s gravest sin was his conservative political stance on the issues. Apparently, Beckel has no qualms about applauding speeches given by a man out of touch with America’s heritage with a shady background. Clearly, being a conservative American who loves God, country, and the Constitution would offend any Progressive, especially one as ignorant as Beckel.

New Orleans Independent Police Monitor Solution

If there’s a glimmer of light for liberty lovers in the wake of the Christopher Dorner tragedy, it’s this: strong Independent police monitors (IPM) are a safeguard against discontent that can undermine delivery of justice.
Civilian oversight of law enforcement is often opposed by police unions, internal affairs units, and citizens who are law-and-order advocates.
While murder is always an unacceptable response for dissatisfaction with departmental disciplinary hearing results, an outside IPM investigation is a solution more municipalities should welcome.
The flip side of IPMs exposing bad cops is exonerating good ones. Civilian oversight isn’t a police officer “witch hunt,” as critics charge.
The LAPD has re-opened Mr. Dorner’s case, and New Orleans should note that our present Independent Police Monitor, Susan Hutson, came from Los Angles.
The Crescent City has the expertise of an expert attorney who helped provide civilian oversight at one of America’s most troubled, complex police agencies.
New Orleans has its own troubled, complex police agency, one facing a federal consent decree. Details await hammering out on just how said decree will be implemented.
Given the city’s Katrina-related police offenses alone, observers await implementation with bated breath.
Empowering the independent police monitor solution may be the missing key in silencing cries of cover-up made by citizens and ex-officers alike.
Properly mandated, funded, and staffed, the IPM here can save the city millions in damages and heartache as an upgraded NOPD wins public trust.
IPMs should become a norm nationwide, not just in headline-making cities.
Liberty lovers should add this new chant to our arsenal:

Supreme Court To Conference On Obama Eligibility Today

Today, February 15, 2013, Attorney Orly Taitz brings her request to move the Obama eligibility challenge from conference to the oral hearing stage at the US Supreme Court. She is moving forward in spite of the fact that four African-American Supreme Court clerks refused to allow Taitz to see the signature of Justice Anthony Kennedy, who denied her petition originally. “But I resubmitted to Justice Roberts, and he sent it to the conference,” Taitz said.
The California attorney is asking “…how do we know that he (Kennedy) ever saw the brief?” In no uncertain terms, clerk James Baldin told her that “I (Taitz) [was] not allowed to see the signature.” This denial of her right to see Kennedy’s signature “does not make any sense.” Perhaps her Russian ancestry and background knowledge of the suppression of citizens caused her to note similarities with DC police actions that blocked “more and more streets” during Obama’s State of the Union address. The group of eligibility challengers were pushed farther and farther away, making it impossible for the public to see or question those who attended the event. When school students touring the buildings came up to the Taitz group to ask questions, their teacher was said to have made them leave!
The crux of the Taitz challenge to Barack Obama’s legitimacy to serve as US President involves the following charges: use of forged IDs and a stolen CT Social Security number; last name not legally his; fraudulent claim to being US Citizen; legal last name is SOEBARKAH on certified copy of passport records of Obama’s mother S. Ann Dunham (Taitz is presenting this passport evidence!); Obama’s Indonesian school records show his citizenship to be Indonesian; credible expert testimony by law enforcement individuals in sworn affidavits showing the birth certificate and selective service certificates are forged; the 2009 Social Security number on Obama’s tax returns failed both E-Verify and SSNVUS.
Also, Attorney Taitz is presenting evidence that 1 1/2 million invalid voter registrations were filed in the state of California! She is asking US citizens to “please, write and fax SCOTUS and demand to see the order by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who allegedly originally denied my case Noonan v Bowen before it was sent by Justice Roberts to the conference.” Is not this the very least we can do to attempt to clear up this matter?

Fish Rots From The Head Down; More On Benghazi
This President was raised as a spoiled brat; his mother and grandparents coddled and spoiled the man-child during his formative years. Spoiled brats tend to become narcissistic, demanding, and disrespectful. Spoiled adults tend to have an overestimation of their talents and abilities and shirk responsibility if anything goes wrong. They must always be at the center of attention; if not, they will most likely abuse drugs or alcohol to escape reality.
On February 7th during his last testimony as Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta stated that he informed Mr. Obama that the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya was under attack. Not wanting to get his hands dirty with a possibly embarrassing situation that may harm his chance of re-election, Obama passed the buck to Mr. Panetta by telling him to “do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people there.” Mr. Obama was incommunicado for the nest six hours while Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans were being murdered. Mr. Panetta and General Dempsey did nothing but watch. Secretary Clinton was nowhere to be found. The only people who had the courage to take action were relieved of command. The administration follows the lead of its head, Obama; as he does nothing, they do nothing.
Uncaring
When asked to explain their actions, the only response is a careless disregard for the dead with a battle cry of “What difference does it make” or “The United States military is not and should not be a global 911 service capable of arriving on the scene within minutes to every possible contingency around the world.” The absence of leadership and accountability should send a powerful message to the troops and State Department employees abroad. The United States government under Obama does not care about them.
Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan may well be the man responsible for the attack on Benghazi. Brennan is the man running the Drone assassination program. According to “Benghazi: The Definitive Report”, the attack on the consulate was in retaliation for Drone strikes against terrorist groups inside Libya. Brennan ran the operations with JSOC, something that couldn’t be done without orders from the White House, to conduct a drone war without any oversight.
Holder’s Justice Department created a memo that would allow the Obama Administration to kill anyone anywhere, including Americans. This document attempts to grant Obama and Brennan the power to kill without any annoying legal recourse.
The lap dog media never links this to Obama. Like any weak parent of a spoiled brat, they cave to his will. The media is ignoring the stench of the rotting fish, thinking it is Michelle’s perfume.
