With the approval of the Obama administration, an electric car company that received a $529 million federal government loan guarantee is assembling its first line of cars in Finland, saying it could not find a facility in the United States capable of doing the work.
Vice President Joseph Biden heralded the Energy Department’s $529 million loan to the start-up electric car company called Fisker as a bright new path to thousands of American manufacturing jobs. But two years after the loan was announced, the company’s manufacturing jobs are still limited to the assembly of the flashy electric Fisker Karma sports car in Finland.
“There was no contract manufacturer in the U.S. that could actually produce our vehicle,” the car company’s founder and namesake told ABC News. “They don’t exist here.”
Henrik Fisker said the U.S. money has been spent on engineering and design work that stayed in the U.S., not on the 500 manufacturing jobs that went to a rural Finnish firm, Valmet Automotive.
“We’re not in the business of failing; we’re in the business of winning. So we make the right decision for the business,” Fisker said. “That’s why we went to Finland.”

I read about this car company awhile back, it is owned by Non other than [ Al Gore ] yes you read that right. He is using Tax Payers Money given to him by Obumer to Finance Fiscar car company. Wake up you bunch of scarity cat Republicans and stop this in its tracks.

So how much money did these guys donate to the Obama campaign and how much of that stimulous money will be going to B. Hussein Obama's campaign before they declare bankruptcy in Finland and pocket the balance. When did we decide to stimulate Finland? The polls say 18-29 year olds and single women elected Obama. Why did we ever give 18 year olds the vote? The schools are turning out kids that can't read, write or do simple arithmetic without a calculator.
The American people have to be complete flaming, a–holes of the highest magnitude to vote for any Democrat in 2012 and especially Obama. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the treasonous actions of Obama.

It wasn't necessarily the Nevadas who voted him back into office. The SEIU union was contracted to "install and service" the voting machines. Many media stories came out the day of, and the day after, the election of people who voted for Reid's opponent, but when they were through filling out the machine ballot they noticed that the opponent's name had been replaced with Reid's name. Sounds like voter fraud to me. Harry had been running way behind his opponent in the polls for weeks, yet he won the elecrion. He also reportedly sent an e-mail to all the hotel/casino CEOs listing all their union employees by name and ordering the CEOs to bus those employees to the polls and make sure they voted for him. Harry Reid is one of the biggest crooks in Congress. That's why he and Obama get along so well. The Secretary of State in Nevada should conduct a full-blown investigation into voter fraud and, if proven to be true, file criminal charges against Reid and all union technicians hired to service (tamper with) the machines.

And who is behind this latest scheme? Al Gore of course. This already filthy rich parasite will be getting richer. He doesn't care about the environment like most democrats; it's what only benefits them. Google is also one of many investors. And of course Obama, Biden and their cronies get their pockets lined from this project while the rest of us pay for it. They're a whole bunch of damn hypocrites.
Well if you think $40K is a lot for an electric car, the Fiskar is a steal because they want $90K for it. Like all the electric cars it transfers the cost of fuel to your electric bill. It goes 50-60 miles on a full charge then it changes over to a hybrid. This Obama administration is going to bankrupt the US in their stupid fantasy world of thinking.
Didn't GM get a govenment grant to retool the old Delaware plant to build this car?
And greedy little Biden likes catering to the lobbyists (Fisker's electric car co.), more money goes indirectly in his pocket. Check out his mansion, not really affordable on a 250,000 annual income.
That's just great, giving this company a huge loan and they go and build these cars in Finland.
I imagine if they tried hard enough, they could find a company in THIS country to build them.
